Hello, I have a character that I want to make a playlist for that would listen to the types of music mentioned in the title. One problem arose. I don't know much authentic Hawaiian music or surfer music. Specifically I'm looking for stuff that's like "Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride" by Mark Kealiʻi Hoʻomalu and the Kamehameha School Choir. Or artists like Jack Johnson are cool too. As long as it's somewhat recent and something you could envision surfing to, I'm open to broadening my horizons.

Do you have any suggestions? If so, thank you and how did you get into these genres of music? Who are your favorite artists to listen to while you surf or work out and why?

I don't really know of anything that would belong in the same genre as those you mentioned i don't think, but i find some of the music of Enya (Sail Away came to mind initially) to be slightly comparable.

Thank you Sun! I'll totally look into that. :3 Yeah, I think I should look for music based on his personality more than where's he's from at this point? Even though I would really love to find something outside of my limited scope when it comes to this genre. *shrugs*

you know the first thing that came to my mind when i saw this thread was
LILO AND STITCH!!!! my little sister loves that movie and watches it all the time
i love the music and hawaii's culture
and the fact that there surronded by the ocean
its awesome but maybe if you google hawaiian songs a bunch would come up!
have fun and explore because its always cool to find and/or learn new things :)
