Was it some scheduled (event-related? ;D) maintenance, or was there a glitch or something?

Subeta (another site I frequent) always announces it when they're going down for maintenance. And while I hate Twitter, they usually keep us updated with the status of the work they're doing on it.

Does menewsha ever plan on announcing maintenance or using a Twitter to keep us updated?
--During long or unscheduled updates or some such, having the Twitter to just say, "Hey, this is what we're doing. We will try to be back up by x time." would be quite useful, I think.

We already have a Twitter account which we use for just that :)

That little bit of downtime didn't get announced though, because we knew it wouldn't be worth it.
