So I am thinking about getting my nose pierced.
I just want a stud, not a ring. I am just curious if anyone has advice. Im 20 years old so I know that I don't need someone to sign for me and I already have 4 piercings on each ear.
However I know that a nostril piercing has to be different from your ear lobes and ear cartilage. So yep, advice? Offer away! <3

I would recommend checking out this website: http://bmezine.com/
You can search for tattoo artists/body piercers in your area and read recommendations or discouragements for each one.
You can also read stories by others who have gotten a nose piercing so you know what you're in for.

Definitely check out the shop you're planning on getting the piercing from. Make sure it is very clean and sanitary. Also you'll want to use an experienced piercer. The nose can infected easily and it will leave a lovely little lump of scar tissue. The actual piercing does sting quite a bit. It will make your eyes water, so don't wear too much eye makeup :D Be sure to clean the piercing very well. I've had my nose pierced 3 times. It closes up very easily too if you get tired of it, as long as you don't stretch I guess.

The nose is easily infected, but I honestly never had any problems with mine. I got pierced with a hoop though, because I have heard too many horror stories of people who were pierced with studs. While sleeping, the stud will sometimes snag on something and can actually PULL out of your nose. which as you can imagine, would hurt a LOT.
There are a lot of people who think studs are better, and a lot of people who think hoops are better. It really just comes down to preference.
Also, I have heard some people say that the nose was their most painful piercing, and honestly, mine didnt hurt at ALL.

Haha, really now, it would just depend on your face type if it would look good or not, but a nose piercing would look good on anyone, so no worries :3

Thank you:angel:
I took a rhinestone sticky from my blingbling cell phone and placed it on each side to see which side look best. So I had that figured out.

Whatever you do, make sure you keep the area well cleansed like you would an earring in your ear. I'm not sure if you have to turn a nosering like you do a new earring. When you get anything peirced it is good to ask the person doing it questions before hand and make sure you get it done in a certified place.

I'm glad it's a stud and not a ring in the middle. Whenever I see those, I wonder what happens when the person has a bad cold, or sneezes...
