READ THIS FIRST.
I might be a little demanding. Actually... very demanding.
If you don't take (writing and) role-playing as seriously as I do, it's best to just not offer. >.<
And yes, I know it might seem funny that I take it seriously. >.>
But please don't be intimidated. I may be demanding, but I'm also extremely friendly. <3

About me and role-playing.
I've been at this whole thing for years. To be more precise, since 2000, when I was roaming the Yahoo chatrooms along with everyone else and being a horrible newbie. During these years, I've been changing styles, settings, characters and fandoms quite a lot, as you can imagine. I grew up from a one-lining maker of Mary Sues into someone who posts multiple spell-checked AND proofread paragraphs, and who is absolutely obsessed with proper character development. Oh, and, on the popular topic of characters and character pairings, I will play any gender (with only a slight preference towards male) and all three of m/f, m/m and f/f.

What I expect from you.
What I want, in my view, is not much. But from your perspective it might be. There are so many approaches to role-play, and I've experienced enough of them to know that neither you nor I can be called better. We just have different preferences at the moment. On my part, I would like you to give me properly punctuated and decently spelled posts in English, which will consist of three or more paragraphs. And I mean consistent paragraphs. I also want you to make decent characters with both qualities and flaws, keeping them balanced and developing them in a credible manner. And, of course, you should not god-mode or power-play. I will *never* control your character without getting an okay from you, even if he/she just needs to walk out of the room with mine.

Additional note on the topic of fandoms/canon.
I'm a self-admitted canon nazi. That absolutely doesn't mean I'm going to call you an idiot just because you don't share that trait with me, but please respect my preference as well. Perhaps you find sticking to canon boring, but for me that is the whole fun of role-playing in a fandom. I want to add and to expand upon it, not to modify it. But that also doesn't mean there cannot be plots or original characters. There can. Quite a lot, actually. As long as we find a plot gap of canon and a way to insert these things in such a way that they won't modify the story and setting I love so much.

There. That's as simple as it can get. :3

ORIGINAL

My favorite type of setting is medieval fantasy, which I generally know for the name of high-fantasy. Something not unlike The Lord of the Rings, or the various Dungeons & Dragons campaign settings. That is the kind of setting that I mean when I say 'fantasy'. Something rich in magic, epic quests and general fictional things.

However, I also enjoy highly futuristic settings, complete with awesome spaceships and space battles, strange alien races and technology, and awesome religious and political plots. However, I will never role-play an alien character that does not resemble a human being to a high degree. Since, as an example of this setting type I am using Star Wars, I will clarify by saying that I'll play anything like a Twi'lek, but nothing like a Hutt. Good.

I will not exclude a modern setting, whether completely realistic or with supernatural/fantasy-ish elements added to it. I tend to like the whole topic of "gifted" people, as well as vampire settings reminiscent of World of Darkness. I also actually do enjoy anything completely realistic that revolves around high-school or college/university, but only provided that you do not stereotype the characters into any silly category.

Subjects I do not have any real interest in are: realistic-historical role-plays, band role-plays (or just generally anything centering on any line of work), alien invasions, zombies, science experiments, deserted island, animals and half-animals (which includes werewolves), and stereotypes (nerd, emo, prep, blah). Some of these I just get bored with, while others I simply dislike.

Do I have plots? I have a whole load of them. Most are for fantasy, but there are exceptions. If you want to see my plots, I could PM you some if you give me your general setting and character preferences and I think I have any that might fit.

FANDOM

Unless stated otherwise, you should assume I am willing to play with any combination of canon characters and original characters.

I'm in too many fandoms to keep track of. However, at the moment, I'm interested in role-playing:

-- Casshern SINS. Only fandom of the moment in which I don't want to see original characters. Only canons.
-- Code Geass.
-- Final Fantasy VII.
-- Forgotten Realms (obviously xDD), though you should know I will only use original characters here, and no canons, unless we're talking about the Baldur's Gate games.
-- Gundam. I have watched SEED (+Destiny), 00 and Wing, and I adore them all.
-- Morrowind. No, not TES as a whole. Morrowind. Because my PC is old and I can't play Oblivion, and, while I did start both Arena and Daggerfall, I never actually finished them.
-- Naruto. Only with original characters. I've overplayed the canons of this fandom until I got sick of them. xDD
-- To Aru Majutsu no Index. Canons and OCs are acceptable, but no combinations of them for this fandom.
-- Vampire Knight.

You should honestly join me and my people with roleplaying at our Fandom Academy.
We have Naruto, Code Geass, Trinty Blood, and incoming characters.
I take roleplaying very seriously.
I can undertsand you saying no.
Sorry if this ticks you off just since no one else said anything thought I'd say this.

One mod is busy with College but we're still active. (My homepage)
