For years, chaos has roamed the lands of Ag’ritha. From the violent eruptions that emit from the planet’s very core, to the rapid recession of the many shores. Life for the inhabitants of this seemingly doomed world is far from easy, and has only grown worse in recent years. The Maron twins have dubbed themselves ruler of Deventa, the capitol city. The world has been torn into two, those who support the brothers, and those who oppose them.
In opposition, one person has risen and spoke out against the Maron twins, and formed a small legion deep within Deventa’s hidden crevasses. They have come to be known as the “Laatheva”, which in the old tongue, means deliverer. Many supporters of the Maron brothers have made attacks on the Laatheva, some of which were successful, though in retaliation, the Laatheva attacked back. Finding the Laatheva has come to be quite a difficult task, for they are skilled and know how to keep hidden.
This new threat has the Maron twins worried, knowing that this group would likely make an attempt at overthrowing them, ending their reign of power. Now it’s your choice, are you with the Maron Legion, or the Laatheva?
---------
The races of the world are in few, only human and majiki remain. Humans are the weaker of the two, but more common, and few have magical powers, but some have elevated themselves and can use magic. The majiki are like humans in looks, but are far more pale, and have a marking on their forehead, pertaining to the type of magic they use, as well as pointed ears and sharper features. They generally are more slender and sometimes quite scrawny, but they use magic to help them through. The type of magiki they are, and their marking, are all dependent on what type of magic they know;
-Fire (a flame marking) can control flames, and can create them from the air itself - the fire majiki are more powerful here, because of the nearby volcano.
-Water (a drop marking) can control water, and pull it from the clouds and the air around them. They are stronger during a storm.
-Shadow (a diamond marking) are masters of disguise, able to morph into shadows and stay hidden.
-Light (a sun burst marking) are in few these days. Many have died, since their life depends on the light, and in this dark world, little can be found. They have healing abilities, though weak in the presence of darkness.
-Nature (a leaf marking) can control the very essence of life around them. They work wonders with animals, and can grow things from nothing. They also posses slight healing abilities.
Droves are half human, and half majiki. There are few of these, because it is highly frowned upon to love with one of the other race, and at times, the droves are shunned. They have both the looks of humans and majiki, and slight magical abilities, though lack the marking.

The Setting:
The city of Deventa is rather dark and gloomy, and smells of fire and ash. Dark clouds loom over, as well as a thick fog covers the cobblestone streets. Deep within the hidden alleys lay the Laatheva headquarters, protected by a strange magical aurora. In the center of the city, towering over all, is the Maron castle, a striking structure.
Rows and rows of buildings circle around the castle and span out until the city wall. The wall is a large stone divider, and has but one entrance, which is always heavily guarded. Outside of the city, other residences are scattered among the farms, though little crops are harvested. Water is hard to come by, except through the wells, and there is hardly enough to grow crops. Only one farm has been profitable, and that is of a family of majiki, who have called upon the power of nature to protect. This farm is one of the only sources of food to the entire village.
The city is falling to pieces, many buildings abandoned and left to rot, everything covered with a layer of soot from the volcano just outside the city. Despite the terrible condition of the city, it is thriving, the market place a main center of action. The marketplace is settled just outside the castle, and is a large square, surrounded by various shops, and filled with many booths set up by people in order to make some gold.
People are always wandering the streets, as well as gathering in the various taverns situated throughout Deventa. The largest of the taverns is the Snake Bite, the second largest structure in the city, next to the castle that is. It is run by a greasy old man named Javon, who is in it only for the money, though if you want information, this is one of the best places to come; though, it has a price.
The Rules:
I am god, not you.
Lit. is a must. Use “ and “ for talking, and no * and * for actions.
For OOC use [[ ]], {{ }}, or (( )).
No killing, unless granted permission.
You must be able to post at least three times a day, and you are responsible to catch up on what you missed.
Romance is allowed, but be realistic, you don’t instantly fall in love, and keep it appropriate.
I want at least 5 sentences per post. Yes, I will be forgiving at times, but not every time.
Make sure you pay attention to previous posts, if there is a fire in the tavern, you cannot just walk in and sit down.
Get yourself involved, don’t complain if people aren’t including you if you are not trying to involve yourself.
Lastly, do not feed the animals. o.O

Anikhan and Zevin.
High in the castle, hidden in the rows and rows of books, Zev and Anik sit, silently reading from a book. Lately, it has been slow, and little has needed to be done, leaving them much spare time. A whine escape Anik as he look to his brother, “This is so dreadfully dull, can we not go do something else?” He questioned, though he gave a look that said he was going to, whether Zev wanted to or not. A sigh escape Zev as he slam the book shut and toss it to the side. Standing up, he stretch and work out his legs, asleep from sitting there for so long.
Zevin and Anikhan had no problem going out in public, even if there were those that opposed them. They could handle themselves, and few dared to try and mess with them when they were out on the streets, for who knows where their guards hid. As they stroll through the marketplace, many people keep their heads low, not wanting to make eye contact with the two, knowing they could lose their life if the brothers were in a bad mood. Anik plucked an apple from one of the various stalls scattered about and continued on, paying little mind to the keeper, who likely was not happy, but would not say anything.
Today, the sun was out slightly, though large, dark clouds from the volcano would float over it, casting the city in shadows for a moment. This sun cleared away the fog that normally loomed over the city, and made for a nice day; something the brothers were not too fond of.
Anathema.
The Snake Bite tavern was quite busy at this time, and laughtur and drunken noise emitted from within. A young woman sat on one of the tables, talking with a group of men. At times, one of the men would have their hand on her leg, or something of the sort, but she did not seem to be bothered by this.
Anathema climbed off the table and moved over to the bar, knowing she needed to get back to her job. Silently, she take the pints of ale to the various customers in the tavern.

Alana walked into the Tavern and sat down at the bar. She looked around at the rowdy people within with a sigh. SHe was used to this kind of setting and it didnt bother her anymore. She noticed a pretty young girl who was obviously a waitress. She yelled to her to bring her a white rose bomb. SHe loved to drink. She was offduty for the moment as the leaders of the kingdom had not requested her for anything of late.
She wondered when she was going to be able to go back to work. Soon she hoped. She enjoyed her job very much. I mean who wouldnt want to be a spy. She pulled her hood lower to hide the diamond on her forehead. She didnt want it noticed by others as humans tended to be afraid of Majiki people. She pulled out her book and began to read waiting for her drink.

Anathema.
A sigh escaped the woman as she heard the bark of the woman, closing her eyes for a second, taking a deep breath. Weaving though the full tavern to fetch what had been ordered, she ignored the stares, the occasional hand and "accidental" touch. It was as she was in the back kitchen, she felt the ground tremble just slightly, and sighed, bracing herself. Not a moment too soon, she felt the ground tremble again, then shake, some things rattling on the shelves.
Of course, just as soon as it had started, it stopped, and she closed her eyes. Anikhan and Zevin were out, clearly. And they would likely stop by, meaning, of course, she would see Anik. She finished the gathering of her supplies, the drink that had been ordered, and made her way to the table where the woman sat. People were in chaos in the tavern, men shouting angry, table and chairs knocked over in the chaos, drinks spilled. "Here." Her voice was cold, irritated that she had to deal with cleaning up now.
Zevin and Anikhan.
Zevin and Anikhan enjoyed messing with people, even if it was only fun for them. At times they would simply set things on fire, just to make people scared, or mess with the volcano itself, shaking the ground. At the thought of doing just that, the brothers looked at each other, a sadistic grin planted on their face.
In moments, the sky began to darken, thick black clouds spewing from the volcano and covering the sun. Small tremors started it off, through they intensified each time, growing stronger. Some people in the streets screamed, others looked for cover, not sure if this would be the time that the volcano would finally erupt, or if it was another false alarm.
The tremors grew worse, and some buildings crumbled and pieces fell, roofs caving. Ashes began to rain from the sky, adding to the layers of soot and filth in the city, all the while, the twins just laughing as they watch the citizen run in alarm.
As suddenly as it started to happen, the tremors stopped and the clouds thinned out, ashes no longer falling.

She thanked the girl and downed her drink. She noticed some guy eyeing her and grinned. Just what she needed some entertainment. He smiled at her and motioned for her to join him. She ignored him pretending to read. He walked over to her and asked her what she was reading.
"O me Im just reading about spells and magic." She let her hood fall back and he saw the symbol on her forehead. He grinned wider.
"So you are Majiki. How nice. Tell me what do you specialize in?"
"Shadow magic of course. What else?"
He grinned more and asked her if she would care to join him at his place for coffee. She laughed in his face and pulling her hood back up walked outside and into an ally way. He followed her a distance and smiling she used her powers to blend herself so he could no longer see her. He went looking for her but didnt see her until she pulled out her dagger and sliced his throat. He wouldnt be missed of this she was fairly sure.

Anikhan and Zevin.
The two men entered the tavern slowly, turning around, looking to each man there. The entire place, which had been ringing with noise but moments ago, now fell silent, scared eyes turning to the men, many readying themselves to leave when the opportunity presented itself. Anikhan snapped his finger, motioning to Anathema, who was picking glass from the floor, trying to clean up the mess they had created. He said no words, but she instantly moved, and he watched her hurry into the kitchen, knowing exactly what to get, and how to prepare it, or well... She'd be sorry, and she knew exactly what that would entail.
Zevin took a seat at a table, little care to who may have been in that place. Of course he wasn't as cold as his brother, but he still wasn't exactly the nicest man around. Even being royalty, the men of land, the rulers over everything, they quite often ventured into the tavern, and really did not behave in any sort of diplomatic behaviour. Clearly shown when Anikhan sat down, putting his boots up on the table.
Anathema.
The young majiki sighed, Anikhan didn't even bother to speak to her, just ordering her around like some common wench. She worked quickly, gathering the things she needed for the twins, and carried them out, hoping things were to their liking... She really did not wish to be punished again.
Without a word she placed the bowls of stew on the table, and the glasses of ale followed, the men inspecting carefully. Of course, they made her try each one first, and their stew was nearly cold before they began to eat it, after seeing that she still stood and had no ill-effect thus far. Really, though, she was on their side.

Kalima was walking idly in the streets when the tremors struck. The Maron brothers know when to remind people who´s the boss, she thought. But it would do good to take cover, so she sped up to look for somewhere sturdy enough to go hide in. She was a slow runner, though, and she almost fell when the tremors intensified. Before long, however, the tremors had stopped and the sky was already getting clearer. Sometimes she couldn´t help but wonder why her family, the only people who mattered to her, were rooting for the twins. Still, she had heard stories from her parents about how things were much worse before the twins came along´so she had to take their word for it.
Kalima looked around a bit, watching people going back to business after the brief panic, trying to calm down each other. She didn´t feel like going to a pub, so she changed direction to head to the market. She liked markets more than pubs for some reason. Her idea of fun clearly did not involve sitting in a dark, dank place and getting wasted. Pubs were good rendezvous points, though...
