With his final breath before gong under, the man swore revenge on the decendents of the people who falsely accused him. Now, The man has returned from the swamp, ready to shed the blood of those decendents.

Bio: Madam is one of the decedents of a very powerful family from Louisiana. She is one of the darker members and is known for her dealings with Voodoo and darker magic. She lives deep with in the city and can be found on the swam every night at a certain place saying prayers and leaving presents. No one knows why Madam choose to do such things but none are going to dare question her. She is known for having a temper and cursing those who dare to interfere with her dealing some of the worst curses. If her beauty doesn't get you her magic and charms will.

Bio: Tomas is brother to the strange and mysterious Rochell. He just as his sister are part of the darker side of their family. Unlike their more light side both he and his sister know the darker secrets of their family that the other side tries to hide and cover up. Though he and the rest of the darker members try and fix and expose. Every night along with Madam Rochell he goes to the swam and chants over spots and leaves gifts. Just as he dear sister no one dares to question what the dear Master does. His temper and spells are far worse that dear Madams and every one knows you stay away from the witch doctor Master Tomas. He'll help you at a price and some times they price is very high.

Bio: Niome teaches history at the local high school. She lives with her room mate from college, though she goes out a lot. Leaving Niome home alone most nights. She devoted her studies to what happened in the past in the town around them. Even wishes she could teach the children, though her work forbids it. Niome is a direct decedent to the judge that served on the court for a long time.

Midnight. A full moon shown brightly over the swamp. A fog rolled in, covering the water. Suddenly, a hand reached up from the murky depths. A rotting corpse then walked onto land, holding a steel chain with a metal spike at the tip. The figure raised his weapon to the sky as he shouted "Vengenc shall be mine!"

Niome laid in her bed. Unable to sleep since she was grading papers from a test the kids had that day. Niome was a teacher who liked to get things done, but done well. If the kids had an essay, she pointed out every fault instead of just writing three things down about the paper. Having the child learn nothing. This process took her a little while, but she only had about twenty five students who took the test, so it wasn't too bad. The TV was playing the in the background, and her roommate was gone for the night. Her roommate had a night job working as the bartender at the local bar.

The figure walked through the swamp. He could feel them. The ones who carried the blood of the wrong doers. Up ahead, he saw the lights of the town. "Now, there will be blood"

Lady Katrina liked to be out in her garden at night. She would just walk around for an hour. She had a big yard and a house. She likes to sing and thought to sing a sweet melody while in her garden. She was thinking about her essay she wrote for her teacher Ms. Ritz. She was sure it would be great. The teacher always enjoyed her writtings

The figure cam across a girl in a garden. He could feel her ancestry. She had the blood of the witness who lied at his so called trial. "False witness! Your end is nigh!" The figure started swinging his chain.

Rochell moved about the swam as she came to the spot where the soul she had prayed for had seemed to rose. She shook her head as she cursed and looked about her. She had to warn the others of this. Though she knew only her brother and the darker members would believe her. She ran threw the swam and into the city still not seeing any singe of the evil that was looming about. She ran to where she knew her dear brother would be trying to court Niome his favorite pass time.

Tomas knocked on the door as he held food in one hand and drink in the other. "Mon Cheir come now I have brought you dinner. I know you are busy with your grading but you have to eat. Please my dear Niome open the door for me. You know I have your favorite." He said trying to get her out of the room at lest for a moment.

Niome rose from her bed. Hearing the man outside. She wished he would come at a normal hour, but gave up asking him. She put on a pair of slippers and a robe. Stepping towards the door and turning on a few lights along the way. She opened it to see Tomas on the other side. "Good evening Tomas." Niome said to him, opening the screen door. "It is late you know."

"I never sleep during the night and you are starting to get that way. Besides Rochell is doing the swam tonight and I thought that we haven't talked in a few days it might be nice. Beside I know how you are about your work and grading. I already talked to your roommate and she told me you haven't ate when she left and I know you. So you can eat and grade at the same time and I'll put them in stacks and in the right folder as I normally do." He said as he walked up to her and kissed her on the check then walked passed her into the small kitchen and open up the food for her.

Niome smiled at him. She had to admit he was a very kind guy to her. A bit of a stalker at first, but kind none the less. There were many people in town who did not like his family for what they practiced, but Niome honestly did the research and found their dark magic to be nothing frightening. At least if you were on their good side. Which was not hard. She respected what they did. "Sounds like a plan. Thank you Tomas" Niome said as she went into the other room. She turned the TV off and gathered the papers all together. Bringing the ones she had not graded into the kitchen. "This is my AP class. So far, only Katrina has scored above an eighty five."

Tomas smiled as he heard her. He grabbed a plate and put her food on it. He was happy to see it was still hot and fresh. He walked to the table and sat it down on her other side away from her papers putting her fork beside it on a napkin then went and poured her a drink of her favorite wine to go with it. He just chuckled as he looked at her. "Would you expect anything less of my ken? Really you should know that we are all over achievers in my family. Just like you my dear." He said as he walked into the other room and grabbed her brief cause and brought it into the kitchen and took a seat as he pulled out the folder for her AP class so he could put the papers in it as she graded them. "And no I nor Rochell helped her or got any of our "friends" to help her. Rochell is still a little made that you figured out she was the raven that sat in the tree by your room and watched our dear girl. But she'll get over it she always does."

"I could never expect any less of greatness of coarse. Your family has been powerful and brilliant threw many generations. Though you would know better than I." She said to him. Glancing up from her work to give him a smile. She looked back down at her work. "I believe my family worked with yours over the years. Never becoming as great, though knowledgeable. Well except my cousin. She is still in Florida selling herself." Niome laughed a bit. "I am no over achiever. Just a simple teacher in the busy city. And I know you two did not. Katrina is a very studios senior. Compared to the rest of them who just want to leave." Finally after a bit she finished the first paper and handed it to him. Sometimes Tomas would read them over. Seeing what the subject she had been teaching was about. This week was all about the cold war. Something Niome did not like teaching as much as some of the other topics. "Will Rochell be stopping by tonight?"

"You never know with that bird. She is here one moment and in china the next." Tomas said as he looked over the papers. "It looks like you will be happy now that you are done with that topic. I know how much you dislike it. Though it was a very important part of our history as a county. Though don't you still find it strange that we call our broken up areas of land states since the definition of a state is a unite that can govern it's self independently. Our nation as a whole is a true state not our states that we have deiced to call states." He said as he looked up in time to see her smile and smiled back at her as he finished putting her papers in order the was she liked them and put them in their folder then in her brief case. He then locked it and took it back to her room where she kept it. He walked back and stopped as he looked out her window at the sky. "Oh my some thing is not right about tonight my dear Mon Cheir. Something sinister is about in our great town."

Lady Katrina looked up and saw a figure swing chains. She let out a Scream and ran as fast as she could. She new he would kill her or harm her. She panicked.

Niome nodded. "There are many controversial issues like that in our nation. Though most of then are better laid to rest. Just as long as some Yankee does not call me an idiot I am fine." Niome said. They got a few tourists each year in the summer. Though most of the time they were only passing threw for gas. It was better that way in her opinion. Less worry over pleasing tourists. Niome went back to eating as he went to put her brief case back. She hadn't realized she was hungry until she started eating. She looked up hearing his words. Though she could not feel what he felt. "What do you think it is Tomas?" She asked him. A bit of worry flushed over her.

"I don't know but it can't be good. Rochell is coming this is not good." The turned and he bowed to her. "Good night my dear." He said as he rushed to her door and open it then shut it. He smiled as Rochell ran right into him almost knocking him back from the impack. "Come down Mon Cheri what is it? Is it one of our dear uncles spirits that he wrongfully accused again?" He said as he saw the panic on her face. "Mon Cher are you ok? You look terrified."

"It...him...swam....the swam one of them is out. The one that he did wrong to. It is going to kill all of us. We have to get little Mon cher and get her out before it finds her. It will hunt us all down. No magic can protect you from it Tomas. It want lessen when you say you are sorry. I have spent nights over it's grave apologizing to it and you see it still come back to get us. We must tell the others and go to little Mon cher she is the closet to the swam. Even the voodoo king could not put this one to rest." Rochell said as she shivered in fear. She turned as she vanished into a raven that flew to where Kathrin lived.

Niome looked at Tomas as he left within a split second. She stood up, looking out her window. Not quite understanding what was going on. How was she supposed to? Niome did not study the dark arts as they did. She pulled the shade back a bit, seeing two figures in the distance she could only guess where Rochell and Tomas. She gently opened the door and stood on her porch Underneath the dim light. She wanted to know what the hell was going on. What Rochell had scene.

Tomas turned as he felt a pair of eyes on him. He turned and saw Niome on her porch. He turned as he headed back to her house. He walked up on the porch and gently hugged her as he kissed her check. "I am sorry Mon Cheir it seems that dear great great great great uncle has caused our family trouble again. Rochell and I go to the swam every night and pray at certain spots where some of the victims of his wrong doing are put the rest. It wasn't till much later my family learned of his wrong doing. We feared that one may come back one day. And it seems that fear is true now. Rochell saw the spot that has been open. She has went to check on our dear little Mon cher. I am sorry for worrying you."

It took a minutes for Niome to gather everything he just told her. Almost like it was nothing and normal to him. "The dead is rising? Why are they coming back?" Niome asked him. Clenching her robe a bit tighter. Tomas knew she was related to a famous judge. She had mentioned it to him before when they were speaking of their families once. She was not sure which trials he was focused in though. Niome did not want to speak about her unbelieving of him. Though she knew the dark siblings would not lie about such a thing. "Maybe you should go with her Tomas. Make sure everything is alright?"

"I want to make sure that you are ok first. If any thing was to happen to you. I promise this town wouldn't like to meet my friends on the other side." He said as he stared into her eyes then kissed her. "Please stay in tonight for me. I am sure by morning it will be back in it's hole. That is how most do they come out to play at night. And Niome I love you."

Katrina was frightened. She had trapped herself in her house. She locked all the doors and windows and barricaded the doors. Hopefully it will just leave and not bother me...I am not really from around here. she thought to herself...She tried to fight back her tears....Surely someone will come to help me. she thought. like the nice lady that goes to the swamp every night to pray...But she knew that was impossible...She lived out near the Swamps not actually in the town.

"I will stay in. Though Cindy is still out at work. I'll lock everything still." She told him. Though when he kissed her her eyes widened as her face turned a bright red. "You be safe yourself Tomas." Niome said to him. Wrapping both her arms around his neck in a hard hug. Not enough to choke him, but enough to let him know she would worry. She froze again when she heard the three words. A smile crept onto her pale sun kissed face, "I love you too" She whispered back. The words slipping out like a white feather in the wind.
