So, I am thinking about joining roller hockey, and I am damn tough. But, my friends, just on the way I dress say "You can't be a prep and play hockey" But I am not really a prep. I do not lable myself, and I enjoy the sport. People think when I go down I will "cry" [Hahaha No] or whine, of which I have never done.

Do you think, if I love the sport, I am kinda good at it, I should do it? Or listen to my so called friends?

P.S. I have been skating since I was 5 (: And I'm really good.

Join the hockey team, you'll have to wear a uniform anyway right? Have fun with it...your friends are just giving you static, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

that seems kinda messed up to me if you are their friend and they are on the team you would think they would be excited for you to join.

I know, its sooooo fun. I play it ALOT.

I've never played, but I'm a big fan of college ice hockey. That's how I spend a lot of my weekends. Girls don't get to have much fun with that sport, because of the modified rules, but you still have to be a tough cookie. I have to give them a big hand for all the work they put into it.

Meh, that's not sad. I'm sure everyone feels that way about some friends at one point of time or another. I mean, I'm going to college next year, so I'm really taking into account how close my friends are and how badly I'll miss them. I've realized that my friends are basically just my friends out of convenience. I mean, they're around, and we used to share a lot of common interests, but I've moved on, and I just know that when we go our separate ways, I won't be too heartbroken. That may sound bad, but I know it's inevitable, and I'm all right with that. However, that doesn't mean that I'm not still their friends, I mean, I still talk to them and everything. It's just that we aren't all that close. I'm not the first person that these girls confide in, and I guess I'm fine with that.

Whatever you like and love to do you is up to you. Why must you listen to your friend? What they say aren't really friend-like. I would say do it. Since you said you like the sport and you are pretty good in it. Then do it. I see no point in posting this when you know what is the answer. Though I guess we all need a little help to help us along the way. :D Also your friend the one who said "How can you keep up your prep look and play hockey" I think I quote that right, whatever. All I have to say is...wtf. What kind of friend is that and all the person think about is looks and label? If I were your friend I would be damn happy you found something you like and found interesting in. :D

That is wonderful advice, and that once chick is a bitch D; I dont even get why I was her friend. She always treated me like bird shit. =D
And for knowing they wont be my friends forever, I might have to start thinking about that.
