Demon Mistress
Prolog
The sun was beating down on the villagers of a small village, named 'Envpes'. It was a village that made little amounts of crops, almost too little to supply the village its self. But the villagers worked hard to try to keep there village alive, one young villager worked his hardest to earn enough for himself and his younger sister so she did not have to slave away in the hot sun. The boy's name was Vincent but most just called him Vince, Vince seemed to have dreams of the future often. Most of these dreams were when the year would hold a bounty-full harvest and which year would be full of drought. Then one night he had a dream unlike any before...
I could feel the suns burning rays fade away as it started to set behind the mountains, I knew it was time to pick up the tools from the field and head back into the village. I found moving my legs difficult as it was everyday after a long days work out in the field, sluggishly I went through the field and picked up my tools that I had used. Then carrying them to the shed the corner of the village, I neatly arranged them then locked the shed afterwords. Using what energy I had left to make my way back home to my small hut of a house. I through open the door to my home and waved to my sister who was making dinner for us, she turned to me as I had opened the door. “Had another hard day in the fields Vince?” I flopped my self onto a chair and turned to her and tiredly yawned, “Yeah but its the same as everyday, ya know?” I leaned back in my chair and put my feet on another chair. Hina walked over and pushed my feet of the chair, and looked at me with a disappointed look. “How many times have you told you to not put your feet on the table or chairs?” I looked up at her and looked shocked, then looked down at my feet. “Since when are you the boss of me?” I laughed and walked off to my room, but before I entered my room I turned to my sister. “Hey sis wake me after you make dinner, ok?”
Once in my room I felt dizzy like I did in the field earlier in the day under the sun, I flopped onto my bed so that I could rest and try to calm my spinning head. I felt my self slipping way into one of my visions, it was very much like a dream and yet so much like realty. I started to walk in this dream world, as I looked a round I noticed a field or roses coming in to view. I felt compelled to walk through the field, and as I did I saw something or someone siting in the middle of the field of rose's. As I walked closer, I heard a voice calling to me. “Vincent come closer to me... I have something I need to share with you...a story of your future.” The voice seemed to be whispering into my ear, a quite beautiful voice belonging to a woman who's lips seemed to be dripping with honey. I could not ignore this voice as I steeped closer to what now I know was a woman laying in the bed of rose's. Once I had made it to the center of the field of rose's I could finally see that it was a woman laying there in the rose's, she slowly sat up and turned to me. “This world will soon be torn inside out, the darkness will devourer the world...but you could stop it. If you can destroy the last two demon lords, then peace would spread through the world...so I give you the chance to kill and rid the world of one of the two.”
The rose's near her twisted and slowly, smoke started to rise, then they burst into flames. Soon they became ashes, something shone in the ash. I look closer to the ashes, then back to the woman...but she was gone! “Reach into the ashes, Vincent...” It was as if she was whispering into my ear, and I couldn't resist what I was told. Reaching my hand into the ash, it still was very hot almost burning...but I felt something ice cold wrapping my hand around it I pulled it out, light bounced off of it as I could make out was it was. It was a blade! It seemed to be crafted out of the finest steal, there were gems embedded into it. I swung it and it was as light as a feather it was as if it cut through the air its self...then I felt arms wrap around me, turning my head I could see the woman had attached her self to me whispering into my ear. “A humans skin is so soft, so warm. There body's so easily broken...” She pushed me away and stood in front of me, I stared at her not understanding what she had meant. Then with a snap of her fingers she seemed to be engulfed in black flames, I rushed to her to try to help but as soon as the flames appeared they disappeared...reveling the woman's true from. At the top of her head were a par of fox ears her hair was like the flames them self, her eyes golden with pitch black slits, her skin was slightly pale, her smile reviled pearl white fangs, her nails were long and claw like, her body was the envy of every woman, and behind her swayed six fox tails. Seeing this I was too shocked to move, she slowly stepped towards me. “strike me down then half of you mission will be complete, I will not defend my self I have lived long enough...” she took another step closer to me, I lifted the blade over my head my hand grasping the handle then I swung it down full force...slamming it into the ground. “No! I will not harm you...even if you are the demon lord, I couldn't harm a woman...even if my life depended on it.”
She grabbed my arms, her claw like nails lightly digging in to my skin. Pulling my right arms sleeve, lightly ripping the shirt I was wearing. She leaned down and bit my shoulder, blood slowly trickled down as her bite burned its self into my flesh. I winced in pain not understanding what she was really doing, once she had pulled away from me the bite mark was a deep purple and was some kind of symbol I had never seen. Looking at me she said. “When a fox finds a mate it marks them so others know who they belong to...My mark will protect you from most things, also granting you inhuman strength when ever you may need it. Take the sword too, you'll need it...if you wont kill me there is still the other Demon lord left” I looked at her and placed my hands on the sword pulling it from the ground, and then the world started to spin and darken...
Chapter 1
I shot up from my bed it a cold sweat, lightly panting from the experience I just had. Looking around I found my self back in my little room, calming my self down...”It was just a dream.” I whispered to my self, but I felt something in my hand and when I looked over I saw the sword given to me by the Demon woman. My shirt was torn and the purple symbol was there too along with some dried blood...Rain pelted against the tattered window of my small shack, I could hear my sister in the next room toss and turn in her sleep annoyed by the sound of rain. But to me the sound of rain made me relaxed and lightly drowsy, as I felt my eyelids droop something small and orange caught my eye. Looking out of my window I noticed more and more little orange dots, soon shadowed figures started to appear. As they got closer, one of the orange dots touched the ground, causing it to catch flame...burning the ground close to the front gate to the small village my small house inhabited. Quickly realizing the danger from this shadowed threat, I rushed out of my room grabbing onto the sword I was given. I quickly opened my sister’s door, moving to her side and shaking her awake. “Hina!! You’ve got to hide; someone’s is attacking the village!” Trying to hold the panic in my voice, she was sluggish to wake up. “Huh?…What is it Vince?” Screams echoed through the little village as a barn nearest to the front gate caught fire. My sister’s eyes widened as she noticed the horror steadily approaching, then the front door was kicked down. The village’s blacksmith entered the room, he was a large man wielding a very large Hammer “Hey Vincent, hurry up and get your sister to the Sage’s basement with the rest of the women, and then give us men a hand! I’ll try to hold ‘em off so they don’t see were you take Hina.” I nodded as he moved out of the way and ran smashing one of the shadowed creatures, grabbing Hina’s hand and ran out of our home.
The screams just seemed to get louder; I heard one of the men yell that Goblin soldiers were attacking. Vile monsters goblins are, they enjoy pillaging, and fighting, but most of all they love gold and will do anything for it. Finally reaching the Sage’s home, I quickly opened the door, but I found no one inside then realizing that they hid under the house in the basement. Moving aside the large rug from the middle of the floor, I found the hatch to the basement. Flinging open the hatch, a bolt of lighting narrowly passed by my face...I fell to the ground in shock “Oh Vincent, its just you. I thought the goblins got past the other men.” An elderly man stepped out of the hole from the basement, as I rubbed the side of my face. “Hey old man, you got to watch where you fling that magic.” He stared back at me. “Get her down there quickly.” Looking away from him, I led Hina down in to the basement with the other girls and women. Once Hina was down in the basement, an explosion erupted from the front of the village. I ran to the front window, spotting most of the houses were burning but the warehouse storing the food had exploded. And then my face filled with horror as I saw the reason it exploded, a goblin mounted on a Wyvern.
The Wyvern was a deep purple, showing that it was poisonous as it swung its long tail in to a house destroying it easily. Though much smaller then a dragon, Wyverns were just as dangerous but they don’t have any arms just two legs, a long snake like neck, and a dragon like head, but worst of all a tail as long as its body with a sickle at the end holding deadly poison. “Hey old man, we’ve got a bug problem here!” I panicked, and motioned him over to the window. Looking out the window we saw that this Wyvern could do something we hoped it couldn’t. It breathed fire. “Vincent, you stay here and guard the women, I’ll try to fend off the Wyvern.” He ran through the house grabbing his old staff, and then went out the back door. As soon as he left, I started to board up the back door, then my sister spoke. “Vince? Are we going to make it? Whats going on out there?” her face was filled with fear and tears rolled down her face. I walked over trying to comfort her. “Sure, everything will be ok.” As soon I said that, the side wall exploded, and there stood the Wyvern. It was at least 14 feet tall, its tail swung upwards destroying the roof of the house. Then it flung back towards me. I felt something hit me.
Looking down at my shoulder, I saw the blood stained sickle sticking out of me. I heard my sister screaming something, but I couldn’t understand what she was saying. The Wyvern flicked its tail, throwing me against the wall. My arm pulsed and my muscles lightly enlarged, I grabbed its tail and pulled it put of my right shoulder. I was losing a lot of blood and I couldn't feel my right arm, so I switched the sword to my left hand. Then quickly I sliced the tail of the beast cutting off a good amount of the tail, as the fallen piece started to wiggle on the ground. It screeched in pain and tossed off its Goblin rider, then it started to shoot flames at me. I luckily rolled out of the way, then it rushed me and knocked me to the ground with its stump of a tail...then it brought its foot down on my right shoulder and arm crushing it, and holding me in place. The Wyvern brought its down and opened its jaws as silvia dripped onto my face and shirt, it was ready to tare me apart as something started to wispier in my head...“Vincent you cant die now, don't make me look like a fool in picking a human mate that's too weak to strike down such a weak beast...” Her words hurt me, but yet they were still like honey. I grasped the sword in my left hand, and swung it at the Wyverns thin neck as it tried to strike me. The blade cut it all the way through as its head fell that started to wiggle next to me, the body of it started to suffer spasms and it flopped to the side wiggling like a dieing snake... I looked over to were all the women should be under the house, as something hit me in the back of my head...and then it all went black.
