There is a forest, from the outside it doesn't look very large, but nearly everyone that stumbles into it never find their way out again. It shifts and changes, keeping those who enter trapped. It can show you your worst fears and use those things to keep you trapped within your own mind if you venture to close to finding the way out.

There is a way out. Carefully hidden, carefully guarded. There are creatures that lurk in the shadows. Strange plants grow here, large mushrooms and all manner of things you can or even can't imagine. If you try to fly out, up above the trees, those very trees will attack you themselves. What purpose, what point is there to a forest like this? It feeds on your fears and your life forces, but is that energy solely for the forest itself or is someone, something else really pulling the strings?

Name: Arzu
Species: Wish cat
Info: Has only 3 lives and can grant wishes, each wish costs one life. There are not many wish cats left. Arzu has had many human masters, all trying to get him to grant selfish wishes, he is cautious and distrustful of most people but still holds out hope that someone will make a selfless wish. His lives are not fickle things to be thrown away so easily. There are scars on his body, most are hidden by his long hair, the easily seen ones are on his hips or just above them. Proof of his resolve and the cruelty he has suffered at the hands of those wanting their wishes granted.

Post:
Arzu had lost them. The woman and her men, they had chased him further and far longer than he had expected, and now he found himself in a strange forest. It was very strange, it smelled strange. Wrong somehow. He turned to go back in the direction he had come from, and hesitated. The path was different somehow. The trees and the plants. He didn't recognize it as the things he had passed up to this point, but he had gone in a straight line.

Those white ears twitched and he moved in that direction anyway. Determined to retrace his steps. He walked, cautiously and for far longer than he should have needed to for it to bring him out of the forest. He was still inside the forest. When he turned, to look back at the path he had come through, it was different again. His heart beat picked up the slightest bit, the feeling of being trapped slowly drifting over him. It was too soon to tell though, so Arzu began moving again. If he just kept going he would have to eventually find the forest's edge....right?

Name: Alander Fartherlin
Race: hum̴͡͡àn̨̛?? NOT HUMAN NOT HUMAN RUN
Appearance: Alander is relatively tall, standing at about 5'11". He has a strong jaw covered in a layer of rough stubble, almost long enough to be considered a small beard. It is dusted lightly with gray hairs. His hair resembled more a dark chocolate bouncy bushel of loose curls than actual hair. His clothing consists of a rough-spun, forest green shirt lined by a stylized embroidery of dancing deer and tulips, a pair of mud colored cotton slacks, heavy boots, and a heavy fur cape suited more for cold weather that ends just at the small of his back. A bow and a quiver of arrows are holstered in the small of his back. The quiver is capped and decorated in the same manner as his tunic. A heavy ax is holstered at his hip, a large and vicious knife sheathed beside it. A heavy and thick belt, lined in the same type of fur as his cape, keeps his tools secured and his midriff warm. Leather fur trimmed gloves and a heavy linen, long sleeved undershirt the color of a young doe work to keep him warm.
Info: Alander is a hunstman by trade, though he does not seem to do much selling of any game. He is a man that lives in a cabin in these strange and dangerous trees, seemingly surviving when the odds are stacked high against him. He seems a kind man, always willing to help any stranger he comes across with a bed to sleep in and a fire to keep them warm. Not many ever seem to want to leave it...

~~~*~*~*~~~
Alander made his way through the underbrush, passing by gigantic fungus and staring down the twisted creatures in their shadow. They watched him in turn, gaunt faces and black eyes following him like curious birds. He stared back until they scurried away noiselessly.
He stopped when movement hit his ears, lip curling slightly as he turned his head. Whatever it was, it was not the dark things in the shadows. They did not make noise when they moved. He turned, beginning to make his way toward the invasive noises.
It didn't take Alander long to find it, a thin, almost faerie-like man pushing through the undergrowth and past the large, almost tree like mushrooms. He was odd, definitely out of place. His ears and tail, while peculiar, were relatively normal for this strange and horrid place.
He sniffed idly before he moved, stepping out of his cover as the the man drew close. He reached out, grasping the other's shoulder to stop him from moving away or bumping into him. Alander's skin was far too chilly as he squeezed.
"Are you lost?" he asked, voice laced with carefully played concern. Of course the man was lost. Anyone unfortunate to come here was always lost. "You've been wandering in circles for a little while now..." A lie, though it would not sound too absurd. He watched the man idly, seemingly checking him for injury. A hollowness in his silent gut reminded him of the very different reason for his idle inspection.
((Hello yes it is me I am here to get out some stress from finals and I hope you do not mind. Also there was mention of strange creatures in the shadows and my mind kind of knocked itself loose a bit and this guy happened feel free to hate me for all time now yes bye.))
][Oh god I could never hate you! -glomps the hidden cupcake- I'm so happy you're here! <3 <3][
Arzu had been painfully unaware of the stranger, unaware until a hand touched his shoulder, his body tensed and he stopped completely. His ears had twitched this way and that, but for some reason he hadn't picked up on the sound of the man's movements. Though perhaps he had been to preoccupied with his own thoughts really. His sharp feline eyes had seen movements in the shadows every now and then but nothing in particular, just a trick of the light, or at least that was the excuse he had given himself.
Those golden cat eyes narrowed slightly at the man that had stepped out in front of him. Uncertainty, distrust, and fear in those eyes. Arzu shifted on his feet, but he didn't pull away from that hand on his shoulder, it was a cold touch, making Arzu shiver more than once and not just from the cold. It was clear by the way he held himself that the physical touch made him very uncomfortable. The strange man seemed concerned though.
"Circles?" Had he really been moving in circles? He had thought for sure that he was walking a straight line. He bit his bottom lip, looking far more uncertain now than he had before. His tail flicked slightly behind him, almost nervously. Still, perhaps this man knew these woods. He certainly looked like a woodsman. "Can you help me?"
Alander watched him; watched as those eyes narrowed, nostrils flaring from fear, how his shoulders stiffened under his hand. The huntsman pulled his hand away, dropping it to his side. Best not make the lad too uncomfortable. He seemed twitchy.
"Aye, circles," he said, mouth curving in a small smile. "I've seen you pass here twice now." Another lie. He slid his eyes over that frame again, jaw moving slightly under his skin. His hand lifted, but not to touch the other again. No they moved to grab his gloves at his belt, pulling the worn, yet sturdy and fine, leather over his chilly-to-the-touch skin.
"I can help you, yes," he said, eyes returning the young cat-like man's face. "I do know my way about these woods and there is a village about half a day's walk in that direction." He turned, lifting a hand and pointing in the direction he had come. A half lie. There was a village in that direction, but it had long been abandoned, almost swallowed by the forest.
If Alander had his way, chances were they would not make it those gutted remains.
He dropped his hand, turning back. "Unfortunately it is getting late in the day and I will not risk travelling at night. Dark things live in these tree and I will not risk both of our lives. You can stay over at my home until the morning, if you wish."
His brown eyes landed on those golden ones, staring long and hard, searching for an inkling of the lad's decision. To the other, it would most likely appear the awkward staring of a man far removed from conventional society.
((Hahaha! *hugs back*))
Arzu seemed to relax a bit when that hand was gone from his shoulder, so far this man didn't seem so bad, but Arzu had been around enough humans to know that they could be very deceiving if they wanted something. Still. He needed the help, he'd likely starve to death or get eaten by something before ever finding his way out. He was frowning a bit when the man mentioned seeing him pass by twice already. Had it really been twice? He hadn't picked up on the lies at all.
That frown faded a bit, those ears twitching slightly as he looked to the man's face. This man could help him. That man's hand lifted and Arzu pulled back just slightly, but the hand didn't come towards him again. Only went to some gloves. A village, Arzu wasn't fond of that idea. Villages were full of people, but still, a village would perhaps be better than being lost.
Arzu took a step back as the other mentioned staying over at his home. "I..I don't know.." Dark things lurked in the forest? Those golden eyes darted around for a moment, as if to look for these 'dark things' that were spoken of, and then up to the sky to confirm that it was nearing nightfall. Still it seemed he had no real choice. He would just have to be very very careful. Perhaps this huntsman didn't even know what he was, if that were true then he should be relatively safe..right?
After a bit of thinking, and inhaling deeply he nodded. "Alright, then. I will accept your hospitality." He held the man's gaze for a few moments before looking away. "I'm called Arzu."
Alander finally seemed to blink when the other sighed an affirmative, a large smile spreading over his face. "Good," he said, genuine satisfaction in his voice. He was turning, moving his booted foot to lead the other to his home, when the young man gave his name. He stopped and blinked, mouth opening slightly.
After a moment, a tad longer than should have been normal it was common courtesy not a trick question, he smiled again. "Alander," he finally said, turning away and starting the trek toward his cottage home.
His pace was steady, but he never moved out of Arzu's sight, always kept himself close. He needed to be. One wrong move and this would all be gone, lost to the opportunistic scavengers that skittered over the trunks of large, sleeping trees like malformed squirrels.
"So, Arzu..." he started, glancing back to the other. His tone was awkward, unused to conversation but unwilling to let the silence hang. "What brought you in here? You don't seem to be here of your own accord..." This was curiosity now. Pure and simple. What had brought this feline creature to his home and hunting ground? What had brought this creature into the arms of a maze that would never release him given the chance? It was a curious subject and it was one he asked all of those he'd shown into his home. Each story was strange and different and held a special place in the twisting bookcases of his mind.
The huntsman seemed to be very glad of Arzu's decision to come home with him, but it wasn't like the wish-cat had a real choice in the matter. Die in the forest or follow a stranger home. A stranger that might not be dangerous or harmful to him. When the man moved, Arzu began to follow. He stopped when the man stopped, blinking at him and wondering at the prolonged silence. Then the huntsman gave his own name and they were moving again.
Still Arzu puzzled a bit over Alander's long silence before giving his name. It was..odd..Though then again, this forest was rather odd. He frowned at some of the unfamiliar plant life and some of the small things that scurried about tree roots. Such an odd place, he had never actually looked at it before. He had only been trying to look for the path. Now he was noticing peculiarities about the forest that he should have noticed before. Like the large mushrooms.
He shook his head slightly, and when Alander asked him that question, he shrugged a bit. "I was being chased, I thought it a good place to hide." There was a bit of hesitation, but Arzu really had no reason to lie so he spoke the truth. "...Humans are scary sometimes." It was added almost as a way of further explanation. His tail flicked a bit behind him, and his ears twitched this way and that, they seemed to almost always be moving. As if looking for sounds or picking up an array of sounds.
Alander turned, eyeing him once more before returning his eyes to the forest ahead. He felt a small pang in his chest, an inkling of an emotion he hadn't really felt in a long while. "Yes..." he muttered, turning to look quietly in the direction of the ruined village. "Humans are indeed...scary."
He was silent again for a moment, mulling over his thoughts as he reeled the wayward emotion back and safely tucked it away. "That's unfortunate, really," he said, stopping for a moment for the other to get closer before he made his way down a slope and through a narrow slit of rocks. "These woods are not the best to hide in... Why were they chasing you?"
He stopped in full, turning to stare straight at the boy for the first time since they departed. "You're not a criminal, are you?" His tone was serious, low. But his grave expression soon fell and he chuckled, grinning toothily before turning moving again. A joke. Or an attempt at one.
The huntsman agreed that humans were scary..but wasn't he human? Arzu wasn't sure, actually. Those eyes studied Alander almost carefully now and a bit curiously, trying to figure this person out. There really wasn't much he could figure out though. Arzu shrugged slightly when the other said the woods were not the best to hide in. Perhaps he simply meant it was a very dangerous forest, full of dangerous beasts, it was certainly a strange forest.
He followed Alander down that slope and through the narrow slit in the rocks, very nearly walking into the man when he stopped and turned around. Arzu came up short, just barely, only centimeters from walking into his guide. The sudden closeness made him tense slightly and he took a small step back, shaking his head a bit. "I'm not..." He started, then stopped as the man chuckled and grinned at him, joking or teasing. It seemed to make Arzu relax just a little bit more.
A hand moved, reaching up to run along one of his ears as if to give emphasis to the words he was about to speak. "Not a criminal, just a rare beast...Humans love owning rare things, they thought I'd make a good pet." That hand dropped and he seemed just a little sad as he had spoken those words. It wasn't a lie, but it wasn't the full truth either. They had wanted to make wishes, selfish, useless wishes, they had wanted to use his lives for their own greed. Though most would get angry at such a thing, it only made Arzu rather sad. When Alander began moving again, Arzu followed. Just a little closer than before.
Alander was still smiling when the other answered, pushing through bushes and past young saplings that yawned silently out of slumber. He stopped for another moment, standing high on a mossy old rock as he looked around, taking in what he could see.
It was here he turned to look at Arzu again, looking him over. "That's a real pity," he muttered, turning to look out at the trees again. "I'm sorry that happened to you."
He began to move again, finally oriented correctly. Even he could get lost here at times.
"We're almost there now," he said, picking up his pace lightly.
And he wasn't lying. Through the trees was the dirty brown of a log cabin, nestled into a small clearing and flanked on all sides by tall trees. The chimney was smoking lightly, the signs of a fire going inside. The building did not at all seem overtaken by the forest's whims in the slightest, sitting picturesque and happy in the otherwise hostile environment.
Alander took another look back at his company. His jaw twitched beneath his skin. He had to keep his mouth from watering.
Those ears of his flicked a bit when Alander spoke those sympathetic words to him. This huntsman did seem to be rather nice, still, it could just be a trick and Arzu had let him lead him around almost easily. He was still wary of the man though, and a little apprehensive about staying in his home, but if something happened, he could just run away. Probably. He was a fast runner. Arzu had nodded slightly as the other turned to look at him.
Though as Alander looked over the trees Arzu wondered for a few moments if the huntsman had gotten them both lost. That fear seemed unfounded as soon they were moving again with a reassurance that it wasn't far. Those words seemed true enough as the cabin came into view. Those golden eyes swept over the building and the immediate area surrounding it. He smiled lightly.
"It looks to be a cozy home." A compliment, and another light smile when Alander looked back over at him. His tail swished calmly behind him, but a shiver ran down his spine, a feeling of being unsettled coming over him. This really could be some kind of trap, but there was also a chance that it wasn't. There was no way he could know for sure. Alander seemed kind enough.
Name: Sarina
Race: Dragconian
Info: Sarina has not always lived in the woods and only came to be there when she had crash landed in it one day. It was not long after that, that she discovered that she could not leave the place no matter how much she tried. Being a dragon she knew that her large form would attract unwanted attention so she turned into her human form. Though when you see her pick up things and use things it is clear that she is not used to the form she is in.
---------- Post added 05-13-2014 at 09:10 PM ----------
The white haired female had been traveling through the forest for a few months now, some times in her human form, others in her dragon form but one thing was for sure was that there was no way out. She passed underneath the giant mushrooms, her violet eye and red eye, staring back at the eyes that watched her. She wasn't going anywhere particular at the moment as she was just looking for something to eat. No matter what she found, it never smelled safe enough to eat. she tossed her braided back over her shoulder as she slowly moved forward once more, making sure to tread softly.
She jerked slightly to a stop as a tree started to walk away from the spot it had been at. Looking over it a bit more she could make out a face on it, discovering that it was a Ent. Well that is what she believed of it could be a giant that choose to wear bark as armor against the elements. Her eyes looked around once more as they landed on some creature that looked like it was a mixture of a deer, a snake and possibly a phoenix but ti was hard to tell as the fiery creature dashed away in it's herd.
Her movements were slow and jerky as she picked her way through the woods, careful not to touch anything or leave any indication that she had been there. She was unaware of the fact that there were two males in the same general area as she was. It didn't take her long before she stubbed upon a log cabin that looked warm and inviting. She peeked through the windows to see if anyone was there. She saw no one. Debating for a few moments on whither or not she should let her self in. It didn't take long for her growling stomach to decide for her on the matter.
It took a great effort on her part but she finally managed to get into the building. Her eyes racked over the inside of the place as she sniffed the air. She picked through everything, gathering as much food as she dare take. Though unbeknownst to her, two males were standing outside among the tress looking down at the cabin. She didn't bother to hide her presence as she moved back and forth in front of the window, easily being spotted if one was watching.
Alander smiled at the compliment, eye crinkling at the edges. "Thank you," he muttered, looking to Arzu. "You really have no idea how much that means to me..."
They were getting closer now, so close that the hollow need in his stomach had become a major trigger in his march. But a shadow caught his eye, passing by the panes in his home and he stopped dead. His arm shot out, meant to catch his companion, to stop him going forward.
"It seems you are not the only one who thinks so..." he muttered, anger on his tongue. He only knew of one other who had access to his home, who would be so brash as to break in like this.
But as the shadow passed again it became obvious to him that this was not that other. His hands flashed behind him and in only a few swift motions his bow was in his hand and an arrow had been notched.
His door was swung open a second after, the arrow pulled back tight, aimed at the back of the female creature foolish enough to break into his home. "Get. Out."
Another smile graced Arzu's lips when Alander thanked him for the compliment. "I should be thanking you, for offering to share your home with me." The words were spoken softly, only a hint of uncertainty in him. He really didn't know for sure if this man was really trying to help him or not. Suddenly the huntsman had stopped, that arm going out. Arzu stopped immediately as well, a question forming on his lips, but it died quickly enough. Something was moving in the house. Flitting past windows. Apparently an unwelcome guest.
His body tensed a bit, ears and tail flicking nervously. Could be one of those that had been chasing him? Had they somehow found him, gotten ahead of him? Arzu had barely blinked and Alander was moving, so quickly. Armed, ready to shoot at who or whatever was in his home. A man did have a right to protect his property. Arzu stood where he was, well, he took a few steps backwards, and stood there where those steps took him. Should he help? He wasn't too much of a fighter, but he could scratch and bite like any cat really. He sniffed at the air, trying to catch the scent of the intruder in the cabin, trying to figure out if it was one of his pursuers or not.
The female had difficulty to pick up anything, at the moment she was trying to work hard on picking up a cup that she had knocked over. Her fingers weren't curling but instead they stuck out straight as if she couldn't bend them. Each time her thumb curled around it ever so slightly, it caused it to roll away from her. She sighed slightly as she stood up, moving pass the window once more.
She jerked up at hearing the door bang open, her eyes going wide as she froze in place, she turned towards the door. It seemed like an eternity before it seemed her body became fluid like a snakes as she moved under the table to be out of sight. Snatching the small bag off of the top of her hiding place, she had not gathered much to eat doing her short time inside.
She looked out from under, checking the male out before she bite at her lip. Those two words that he spoke to her, were harsh and seemed cruel to her. She scrambled out from under the table, stumbling and tripping over everything that was in her way. She couldn't seem to keep her balance and somethings that should have been normal to use like her fingers was odd and with out a tail it was hard to stay standing up.
She tried to get out of the place, pushing past the male with the bow, she looked back at them with her two different colored eyes, fear was written on her face as she finally managed to get out of the building. Hissing as she had passed by them, scales flickered across her skin. Her stomach growling loudly. "Sorry..." was all that passed through her pink lips, hiding behind one of the large mushrooms. Carefully watching what was going on.
The woman was strange, moving strangely. Inhuman. She was under his table now, watching Alander. Like an animal caged and cornered by somet larger, deadlier beast. She was looking at him with such fear. His lips curled in a satisfied sneer.
She was up moments later, shuffling awkwardly toward the door in an attempt to get by him. He lowered his bow and arrow, the drawstring slacking as he relaxed as he moved aside. When she passed he released a large breath. The noise that left his nose was like that of a large sighing in exertion.
He watched as she slunk away, something bright and shimmering dancing on her skin. No. Not human. Definitely not. She would have to be watched.
He glanced in Arzu's direction, nose wrinkling slightly as he opted to ignore his guest for the moment. He needed to look inside, eye what had happened. Assess the damage.
He carefully walked inside, placing his weapon on the table and looking around. There things missing; a string of sausage was gone from the string of meats above his heart, a variety of fruits gone from his bowl, a glass toppled on the counter top, and the sparkling shine of broken leading from the rear-door.
From what he could tell she had not gone down the hallway on his left. Good. He would prefer to keep the rooms there from prying eyes.
Alander turned and made his way back to the front door, standing in the open portal and glaring past Arzu. "If you wanted food, there was no need to be a thief. I would not have turned you away had you waited and asked," he called. He turned back to Arzu, sighing through his nose again. "You are welcome to come in Arzu. You will have to forgive the mess though."
He turned away and went inside.
((Ugh sorry that took me so long guys. One of my kitties was sick this morning and I had to take him to the vet. He ended up having to have surgery because he ate something that got stuck in his intestines.))
][Awh, the poor kitty! Your kitty is okay now though, right?][
Arzu didn't dare venture too close to Alander in the doorway, he stood some feet away. Out of the way. Those golden eyes were wary, even a bit fearful. Though the intruder, was soon moving out of the house and past them. Her scent was wrong, and his eyes didn't fail to pick up the glimmer of scales on her skin. It wasn't a scent he was too familiar with, but he knew it for what it was.
The wish-cat was staring after her when Alander returned to the door after assessing the damage done to his home. When the huntsman spoke, Arzu's ears twitched towards him and his eyes followed. Nodding slightly. "I could help clean up?" A way of showing gratitude for allowing him to stay the night here. He followed Alander inside, glancing over his shoulder as he went.
"What if she comes back? She could be dangerous." He was wary, uncertainty in his voice as he spoke. A feeling of uneasiness had settled over him, though he blamed that on the female intruder. An intruder in someone's house should make one feel uneasy, though this wasn't even his house. Arzu did not hesitate in closing the door behind him once he was in that cozy building.
(awww the poor dear i am glad that you put your kitty first instead of a silly rp i hope the kitty is okay and i have problems with keeping my mom's kitties from eating things they shouldn't you have to keep and eye on the little rascals lol)
Sarina watched the two from her position, the look that the male had given her was something she knew all to well. She had gotten often from others at her home. That look was one a that the bigger dragons would give her when they knew that they had her right where they wanted her. She didn't mean no harm and she was just hungry and she tried to wait for someone to come home but her stomach had gotten the better of her.
"You do not fool me......I know that look in your eyes." she called back at him, the string on the bag was on her thumb so she was able to carry it easily. She looked down at it as her stomach growled even louder before she started to dig into what little food she had managed to get from the cottage. She ate one of the sausages hungrily, turning her head to watch the males with her violet eye.
"I am better not having anything to deal with you." she yelled towards the males once more, placing the bag in her mouth as she changed into her dragon form. Once in it you could tell that her fingers had elongated and webbing was between them. Her arms now looked much like a bats would except they were white and scaly. He tail swished as she used the claws that used to be her thumbs to climb to the top of the mushroom. Watching the cabin closely, not trusting the male that owned it, waiting for him to come out and do something to her.
The door was closed. Alander's guest had been kind enough to do it for him and Alander felt the rush of relief at the outside world being closed away. He glanced out the window at the yelling. He glared at the sight of the dragon outside.
"Don't burden yourself with that," he said, turning to Arzu. "It will not take me long to sweep up some broken glass. You help yourself to anything you find in the kitchen and I'll take care of the mess."
He turned then, making his way down the hallway he was so glad the dragon had not traveled down. The door second to the one at the end was to remain closed unless he decided otherwise.
He gathered his broom and dust pan from his store room, the actions taking much longer than he would have liked. This place had become a cluttered mess over the weeks, difficult to navigate. It had nothing to do with how dark it actually was in this room.
He finally began to make his way back down the hall, silently hoping to find that his guest had taken his suggestion and had not run off while he was gone.
((Yeah he was released to us today, but we're kinda worried now. He didn't eat or drink at all when we got him home. The only way we could get any water into him was using a tiny syringe that we're also using for his antibiotics. We did manage to get him to eat before we put him to bed though.))
Arzu really wouldn't mind helping clean up, but Alander said not to bother with it. His ears were twitching and he moved to look out the window at the dragon. Arzu wasn't sure how he felt about her or the situation. Sure he would have helped if he could or knew exactly what to do. Food perhaps? He had none to give her. He lingered there for a moment longer before turning to find the kitchen.
Once in the kitchen he looked around a bit uncertainly. Hesitant at first to take anything, but Alander told him to help himself. After a few moments of looking around, Arzu settled for a piece of some meat or other he found. He had only taken a little bit, and was nibbling at it almost gently as he moved to watch Alander clean up. "Thank you, for being so generous with me." There was a slight frown on his lips.
He looked as if he wanted to say more, glancing towards a window, to see if he could get a glimpse of the dragon. Arzu was silent now though, not quite sure how to phrase what he wanted to say, and afraid it might offend his new friend.
][I'm really glad your kitty is okay. I'm sure it'll eat and drink more tomorrow, it's probably just still feeling a little meh or something.][
Alander had the glass swept and gathered when the other approached, turning to smile. "Of course. I would do the same for our friend outside had she not invaded my home," he said, dumping the glass into a small basket on the counter.
He moved himself to his hearth, placing the broom and bin against the stone facing. He removed a metal poker from its stand to hi right, poking at the logs. He grabbed another log from the stand nearby and added it. The fire soon spat brighter and stronger.
He stood then, unhooking the clasp of his cape and and removing his gloves. The cape was placed on a hook near the rear door and his gloves on the counter. His quiver, axe, and knife were soon to follow, placed into a tall storage bin.
He turned back to his guest, smiling. "Is something on your mind, Arzu? You seem..." he paused, looking him over with slightly dark look, "...twitchy."
((Yeah he's doing much better now. He was actually acting like himself instead of groggy and unresponsive. I'm ridiculously happy about that. Thank you for the support guys!))
Arzu finished the bit of meat he had acquired from the kitchen as Alander finished cleaning up. It was good to hear that Alander would have been rather hospitable to the girl outside, if she hadn't broken in. Still. He moved closer to the window to look out it, shrugging the slightest bit when his new friend called him twitchy. "She must be desperate, to break into a person's home like that..." That frown was still on his lips and his tail moved slowly side to side behind him.
"Hunger can drive someone to do things like that..." Though she was a dragon, she might eat them. He shivered slightly. "Shouldn't we do something to help?" He turned from the window to look at Alander, a bit uncertain, a little afraid. The wish-cat didn't want to say anything to make the other mad or angry and this man was well within his rights to not give that she-dragon anything at all. Still, if someone needed help, shouldn't they at least try and help? He bit his bottom lip gently.
][I'm so glad to hear your kitty is feeling more himself! <3 ][
(yea when my baby was sedated he just wanted to be cuddled until he was feeling better lol your lucky that it wasn't seriously i am glad your kitty is back to his usual self lol)
Sarina, curled up as she ate the goods that she had taken from the log cabin, her multicolored eyes watching the place carefully as she seen them pass by the window. She yawned slightly before making a loud thrumming noise. Her stomach was still growling, as it was not enough food for a creature of her size.
She sat up as she looked towards the edge of the clearing, there they were again. Those deer like fire creatures. This time though, it seemed as if they were watching her, her stomach growled to prompt her to slink from the top of the mushroom. She stuck low to the ground, weaving and moving more like a snake in water as she climbed onto the building. Not caring that they could hear her weight above them as she moved across it.
She might not have been able to fly because of the holes in her wings from the trees attacking her but that did not mean she still was not able to move quickly. She waited and watched for a few minutes before she made her way over to the creatures to try and catch one of them for a meal. Sadly she was unable to catch one of them, no matter how much she tried.
((Thanks guys! Everything's OK with him now so we're good. And sorry this took so long I had a very long, not-cat related weekend.))
Alander watched Arzu almost coldly, watching as he moved to the window. As he spoke of desperation and hunger. The huntsman's nostrils flared, faint and bitter memories flooding his mind as he looked away, fingers tapping absently on the counter.
He finally looked back when his guest asked if they should help, glancing past him and out the window. "I...suppose so," he muttered, voice low and straining to keep its polite and genial tone. "If she breaks anything else or makes a wreck of my home..." He didn't finish, his tone warning enough. Though he wasn't sure the other knew exactly what he was warning.
He moved himself back over to the fire, stoking it again and warming his hands for a moment. He turned his head. "If you wish to go gather her, you may. I'm going to start on an actual dinner," he mumbled, making his way over to a side room that seeped a chill from under the door.
Arzu smiled gently when his new friend agreed that they should help, though his ears picked up on that tone, Alander didn't really seem all that enthusiastic about it. The wish-cat could understand that, the woman had broken into the man's home afterall. "I understand." He spoke the words softly as Alander gave his warning, Arzu assumed that the huntsman would just turn the girl back out if she broke something or made a mess of Alander's home.
When Alander suggested that he go get the woman, Arzu hesitated, what if she tried to eat him? Or capture him to use up his wishes? He bit his bottom lip. Still it had been his suggestion to let her back in, it was only fair that he go and get her. His body was tense as he opened the door and stepped outside of the cozy little house. Those golden eyes moving this way and that, almost warily, to look for the dragon. He took a few steps in a direction, as he picked up the scent, as well as other strange scents that seemed to permeate these woods.
Arzu moved around the house, and saw her. He offered a slight smile. "...Excuse me, miss?" It was best to start out with politeness, wasn't it? "You can come inside, as long as you don't steal or break anything." He took a few hesitant steps toward her. Arzu was a bit nervous, a dragon. If she decided to eat him, he knew he wouldn't be able to fight her off.
