My name is Al (I am a girl! DX) and I hail from a site similar to this. Hopefully I get the hang of it soon enough. The first thing that I noticed was the cute avatars! They are sooo pretty. The next thing I noticed was the different style of BBCode, or is it something different yet similar?

Anyway, I love music, anime, and vampires. My friends call me otaku of vampires and anime. My favourite band is Avenged Sevenfold (RIP Jimmy!) but my favourite song is Which To Bury Us Or The Hatchet, by Relient K. I LUFF TEH RAWK! But I listen to literally everything -- rock, pop, hiphop, rap, techno, classical, jazz, world music, folk, etc. Rock is just my favourite genre, techno is second.

I love to research subcultures. I don't subscribe to any one label, but I am facinated with several. Steampunk, lolita, furry, raver, punk, goth, scene, emo, cyberpunk, the list goes on. I am nothing and everything.

So, I rambled a bit much there, but hey, it's my first thread on this site! YAY! c:

Pleased to meet you as well. my favourite anime is a tie between Fullmetal Alchemist and Death Note. I am a complete Naruto fangirl, and I have a secret love of Tokyo Mew Mew. (Although I dare not lower myself to Mew Mew Power. *vomits*) My two favourite shojos are Shugo Chara and Lucky Star, but Kodocha is good too. The list goes on...

I also have a love of yaoi/shonen-ai... *shifty eyes*

awesome! sounds like we have some things in common! full metal alchemist is a fave of mine as well, same with shugo chara. We, of course, have differences, but hey, we're human =)

Who's your favourite character from FMA and/or Shugo Chara? I like Ed, Ikuto, and Utau.

fma: maes hughes is at the top of the list, now questions asked. Riza and roy follow right behind, greed is cool too. ed and al aren't faves but i like em.
Shugo chara: ikuto and utau definately (love utau's voice!!!), kukai and amu are next in the list.

I cried when he died! And I screamed at the penultimate episode (second to last) when Ed got impaled... Don't think that's healthy. Lawl.

Kukai is really charasmatic, I like him. I don't really care for Amu, I don't really know why... Odd, because I should; she's very similar to me.

XD yeah, getting impaled would definately be un healthy.... probably painful too.... yeah that episode really got me. I found a couple of videos on youtube that were really well done, the first one was a tribute to maes hughes, with the song "slipped away" by Avril lavigne playing, really beautiful. The second was a lot of that penultimate episode set to the song "a modern myth" by 30 seconds to mars. both were really well done and practically made me cry because of the added emotion to those scenes

I'm pretty much like you which it comes to music, if it's decent I'll listen to it. Rock, however, is a fave of mine. Faveorite bands include, but are not limited to: Breaking Benjamin, Linkin Park, Three Days Grace, Nickelback...etc. so yeah =)

Ever heard Switchfoot? They have some of the most splendid music videos.

XD we are all original in our own way, even identical twins are original (though not as much as those who aren't) because they all have their own personalities. at the very least they have their own voices.

That is very true indeed. I have friends that are twins; it's funny because they aren't identical, but they have similar personalities. Lawl. People are weird. X3

I see being weird as a good thing. Being weird simply means you aren't like anyone else or you react in a way other than the average person. weird simply means different. It's all a matter of perspective =)

I realize now that the way I typed it it sounded as if I were implying weird to be a bad thing... this is definitely not the case. I am extremely strange... splendidly strange. ">.>

That reminds me of my 'group' at school... half the time we're deep and intelligent, the other half we make no sense because we're bounce-off-the-walls hyper! FUN. That's exactly the reason nobody talks to us; we're the freaks, outcasts, etc. Nerds, goths, emos, wannabes, sociopaths, that's us! XD

But of course none of us subscribe to any one label (as I said in the first post of this thread, neither do I.) We are nothing, and yet everything. That's what makes us different. And wonderful. :3
