Some say this looks more like anime, but I dunno. Anyways, I Menewshians are nicer than Gaians, so I thought I would try for some honest critiques by posting my progress. Below are two of my most recent chibi drawings. Please critique?

I think these are very good for being pencil/chibi/anime style. Just remember that this style has a bit of simplicity to it; so you don't want to kill it with a lot detail. But you seem to be doing just fine in that area.
The first one I think could have more hair on top as her head seems a bit flat.
Also try adding a bit of a bend in the legs and arms. I don't do too much chibi style though so I'm unsure how exactly they are drawn. I guess it depends on how "chibi" it is, as a slight bend might be adding too much detail to some. But I think for yours a little bit of a bend might add to the depth of it.
Good overall. b^^

Waist is a bit too small and eyes are a bit too big. Try to keep the eyes at 1/3 the size of the face and the waist more than twice as thick as the neck. Sometimes chibi's don't have necks so disregard the latter if you don't have one. Keep practising and good luck =3

It seems pretty angular. If you are going for chibi, think short and chubby. Your drawing is more like a cross between chibi and full-size. I think you would benefit from studying anatomy. Limbs aren't that straight and shoulders aren't that round. It is a very good start. I used to draw very similarly, but practice and school have helped me come a long way in a fairly short time.

Make the top of the head more rounded. The figure is to thin. Not so much detail. And they seem to tall to be chibi. The head is usually larger than the body. Kind of like a bobble-head.

I think they are pretty good to start with. They look more like a simplistic anime drawing rather than being chibi. I like the first one's pose but the second one you could of done a bit more with. Try out different types of poses. Also, there is this one book called The Monster Book of Manga and it has helped me a whole lot in improving. I think they have one for Chibis too. I think if you keep practicing you'll be a lot better than a lot of the artists on Gaia.
