All of their songs are just really annoying. Their lyrics have no depth and are completely non intelligent, almost every song has the same beat, and that guys voice is absolutely hideous. Never have I been more annoyed by a band...

I don't really pay much attention to their lyrics but I agree, the tone of that guy's voice is just AWFUL. I don't know how anyone can listen to them for longer than 5 seconds.

Luckily they don't seem to be quite as popular around here as they used to be so they don't play them on the radio as much.

D'aww, I love Nickelback. I don't find his voice hideous at all. Oh well, I guess Nickelback isn't for everyone ^^;

I completely agree with you. Does anyone else think that they just write the same song over and over? I can't tell one Nickelback song from the next...
I hate it when every song by the band sounds exactly the same. They aren't even structured well. And the guitar is boring. AND his voice really is very irritating. And the lyrics are about as deep as the wading pool. -_-;;

I like some of their songs. Definitely not ALL of them, and on some of them, I can completely see where you're coming from. But I have to say that on their lyrics lacking depth, that's not entirely true. They have a few rotten eggs, oh yes (I can't stand Animals, for instance), but they've got a few gems as well. Far Away is a good example - I hate admitting this kind of thing, but I actually cried when I first heard it. It's very straightforward, yes; I usually like songs with more symbolism...but in this case, it works wonderfully. If Everyone Cared is quite similar; of course, it has different lyrics, a different sound, and a different central theme...but it follows the same idea of being straightforward in all the right ways, with a little nice symbolism thrown in to round it all out. I think Savin' Me is probably my favorite from them, though. It has a good, strong, TRUE feel to it...and I love the symbolism of it. And I must admit, I do have something of a personal attachment to Photograph, even though it's not their best.

I do dislike a good amount of their other music, because...most of their faster songs sound exactly alike, and a lot of their lyrics just drive me up the walls. But I can tolerate most of their music, and actually really like more than just those songs I listed up there. And I do et the feeling that the lead singer's voice would drive me insane if I weren't particularly used to voices like his (I know a lot of people in real life who sound a lot like him), but...since that's not the case, well, I guess that's good, isn't it? Less to dislike. XP

I have to agree with you fully. Nickelback makes me cringe whenever I hear their music. The music is uncreative and boring and the lyrics are just as bland.

I pity the fool who thinks that Nickelback is a good band.

Okay. When I first heard "How You Remind Me," I actually liked it. And then when they released another single, it sounded... exactly the same as the first one. <_<; And then it just got very annoying. The guy's voice is irritating as hell, the music is pretty repetitive, the lyrics sound like they've been written by an uncreative average high school student. Now I can't stand Nickelback's music or bands that sound like Nickelback (like the band Theory of a Deadman. :/ Ew.) My brother, however, loves Nickelback. =__= It's so lame. Then again, he liked Hinder too at one point.

Heh after hearing "How You Remind me of Someday" which points out their lack of creativity and the base player's arogant response to said criticis and how he compared Nickleback to AC/DC I now have a hatred towards Nickleback.

Plus I'm god damned sick and tired of hearing Nickleback more than Meatloaf or Queen on this one local rock station. So your hatred towards them is not just yours alone.

edit: Also I recently found a funny video of a Nickleback concert getting cut short due to rocks being thrown at them. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post outside links on the site so just type in Nickeback rock on youtube.

I used to be okay with them. Y'know, they were just sort of there. If they came on the radio, I didn't cringe and change the channel, but I didn't start singing along, either.
But then.... Then photograph came out. That song was sort of cute at first. Nostalgic, reminiscey songs can be cute.
But then the radio played the life completely out of the song. They just played it every five minutes, I swear. D:
Now I want to bash my head in every time I hear that voice... "I DON'T CARE WHAT'S ON JOEY'S HEAD! I DON'T CARE THAT YOU HAVE PICTURES! I HAVE PICTURES TOO! YOU DON'T SEE ME WHINING ABOUT THEM EVERY TEN SECONDS ON THE RADIO! ARRGDHSJSA"

Their songs are all just so SIMILAR.
I found this thing on the internet once. It had it set up so that one Nickelback song would play on your left speaker, and another Nickelback song would play on the right speaker. They didn't sync up or anything, but they just sound so much ALIKE. Very little variation...

I remember a few of their songs, though. Youth of a Nation (wait, that is by Nickelback, right? O_O;;;) and Side of a Bullet, and I really liked them both.

But I suppose that's just taste, really.

I'd probably have a different opinion of them if I knew more of their songs; as it is, these two are songs someone sent me. ^^;

The only artist I can't stand is Maroon5, his voice is very irritating.

Mmm..I don't like them much, but sometimes, they can be enjoyable.
If I just want to kick back and listen to something..Not really caring what it is, it honestly doesnt' matter.

They do use the same style and sound for like, ALL of their songs.. and that does get annoying, but to help with that, I mix them up with other stuff in a playlist.

They've kind of stopped being on every twenty minutes on the radio around here, so that doesn't bother me much. I went through a nasty I FUCKING HATE NICKELBACK period because they were ALWAYS THERE whenever I turned on the radio.

Now they're just kind of.. Neutral..

Thats the problem with Nickleback though. When they start being played more than Queen, or Meatloaf, and various other bands, it makes you want to find the idiots who were part of the focus groups that decide what is played on radio stations these days, and then ask them simply.....why?

I don't mind Nickleback but I hate it being played to fudging death. And yes its still being played to death on the radio station where I am. :( T_T

agreed. All of nickelbacks songs sound like the same country ish rock ish (I say ISH very strongly here) moans and groans regurgitated, eaten, and regurgitated again. and urrite, that guys voice makes me want to punch pillows. Even emo poetry about how your life sucks because you can't go to the mall today is more tolerable than nickelback. But then again, SOAD has an odd voice, but I love them. :]

And plus, invest in an ipod. Radio = suck D:

Normally I can't stand singers with that voice, but for some reason, I sort of like Maroon 5.
Though Harder To Breathe sort of pisses me off. He's just... bitching about how he can't get laid, and being over-dramatic about it. Suck it up, man! XD
I mean, he's got basically the same voice as all those other high pitched male singers that are popping up everywhere, but for some reason I can tolerate him.
