Trapped within their Wonderland, they never would wake up.

Wonderland: A place full of laughter and madness, where going one way can take you the other way, and where things are not what they seem.
It has been 200 years since the disappearance of Alice, the last great queen of Wonderland. Things went well for a few years....

Until one day, another Alice appeared. A bad Alice.

She has now seized the throne, her insanity driving all the happiness out of Wonderland. Every day, her cry of "Off with their heads" rings farther and farther. Every day, the good part of Wonderland shrinks more and more.

While the people Alice met all those years ago are struggling to keep Wonderland what it was, their darker sides have completely torn away from them, flocking to the Dark Queen.

Now, four teens from our world have fallen into Wonderland, to stop the Dark Queen. Unless she can kill all four of them at the same time, Wonderland will never be completely hers. Will the teens fight the Queen and struggle to return wonderland to the haven it once was? Or will they join the Queen, star struck by false promises? Only time can tell.

1. Follow Menewsha ToS. Come on, that's a given.

2. SEND me all profiles, do not POST them or you will be ignored. This just makes it easier on me.

3. Please be considerate of you're fellow roleplayers. We're all here to have fun, after all. This means no killing another character unless permission has been given by the person controlling that character. The point of this rp isn't to "kill" anyone, really- it's to make them light again, to reunite them with their other halfs.

4. Please don't be vulgar, rude, ect. This ties in with rule three.

5. Romance is fine~

6. I like to keep things at least semi-lit (so please no chat speak, l337 speak, or Doing Something Like This Where You Capatilize Every Word. It looks messy and is confusing.)

7. One-liners are ok, just make sure you give everyone something to work off of. "He nodded" is harder to do something with then "He nodded, turning around to go out into the snow." See how many posibilities pop up for that second one?

8. Leave windows open for people. If you and Billy are talking, leave room so if Amanda comes into the room she can be included in the conversation. Also, don't ignore someone if they address you. It's rude.

9. No godmoding, and no invinceable characters. You can't always be "clever" or "on guard" and avoid every trap. Also, you can't always capture you're target. You will be warned five times before you are expelled from this rp.

10. To go with number nine, this isn't the Chronicles of Narnia. The light side won't always win.

11. As you can see above, even I'm not a perfect speller (nor is my grammer perfect) so while you should try to have things make sense and attempt to spell things right, I won't be a nazi about it.

12. Distinguish between you're in-character chat and you're out of character chat using [[]]{}() etc.

13. Please, I beg you, don't make characters and then NEVER POST. This annoys me to no end and is extremely inconvinient. If you pull this, and then come back and expect to still be welcomed here, you should have a good reason as to why you did not post. Also, please don't join, post a few times, then disappear. If you want to quit, please just tell me- I won't stop you, and I won't have any hard feelings towards you. I just need to know so I can open positions up.

Bio: Luka was practically born an orphan: her father died while her mother was pregnant with Luka. Luka's birth had many complications, and her mother died before the child was a day old. She grew up in an orphanage surrounded by other children- even so, she was always alone. The other kids thought that Luka was strange: She was constantly speaking to herself, or humming haunting melodies that no one had ever heard of.
And so Luka grew up, a lonely child with enough curiousity to kill a thousand cats. One day, while exploring the house as the others played outside, Luka literally stumbled across a mirror- and fell into Wonderland.

Bio: There really isn't much to say about the Dark Cheshire, except that he is all the evil from the Cheshire cat rolled into a single, sentient being. He is faithful to the Queen, and is often called "the Queen's Lap Cat" behind his back.
Extra: While he's usually pretty good at controlling it, he has terrible bloodlust. The smell from a single drop will drive him insane.

bio: Hatter has been in wonderland since the beginning. he helped the original queen alice, and grieved her loss very much. With the arrival of the new Alice and her evil court he has become a spy in the darker parts of wonderland, looking out for allies and the other two "alices".
extra: Hatter very much likes hats and tea. He hates jabberwockys and has a strong phobia of them. He also has a scar running across his face from a near death encounter with some of the Dark Alice's gaurds.

The queen keeps him in this state until she needs him to go about and do her bidding. The other lives up to the phrase "Mad as a Hatter". He speaks in riddles and delights in the pain of others. He is childish and vain, loving no one but himself and works to get his way all the time.
Bio: It isn't known how the Queen came by him and brought him into her court, but he barely keeps in line for the Dark Queen, often twisting her words to his liking and following those orders, but she keeps him about for his efficiency in trickery and mimicry. She keeps a reign on him with a button. When he is near, she can press it to emit a sound that forces him to slip from one personality to another. When she needs him to stay put and listen, she makes him dull. When she needs the trickster for a job, she makes him insane.
Extra: He has grown to fear the button and the sound that it makes, as well as any sound that is like it. He can be subdued by a threat of the Queen pressing the button and forcing him to be listless.

Bio:
Cheshire has been around since the begging along with many of the original friends as well. He knew and helped the original Alice and misses her a lot. When the new evil Alice took over, he hoped that something would happen that would help the good side. He mostly is in his cat from unless he is talking with others on the good side. He helps with many different things, being a cat; he can sneak into different places and find out new information.

He loves to play tricks on some people, mostly new people. Many days he sits back in his tree replaying scenes from the times he has had with the original Alice. He also loves fish; fish is a great bribery tool. Moreover, he had a scar on his back, from his last encounter with his dark side.

Bio: For years, Wil acted as messenger and herald for the Queen of Hearts, reluctantly darting from place to place on her whim, serving her hand and foot. Shortly after the disappearance of Alice, his head was in jeopardy when the queen discovered that he had failed in one of his tasks, she she ordered off with his head. He left her service in hopes of escaping such a dreadful future, and traveled far to the land of chess to serve the White Queen instead. As time went on, however, the land of Chess was forgotten, expelling the inhabitants to the nearest looking glass, except for Wil. No, he somehow found his way back to wonderland, just in time to witness the return of Alice . . . but not as he, nor anyone else knew her.
Extra: Wil carries his sterling pocket watch with him at all times, and by focusing his imagination through the timepiece, he can travel himself backwards and forwards through time. He cannot alter the flow of time, however.

Personality: Tem and Tam are like the closest pair of twins you can find. Everywhere they go they hold hands and if you’d be murdered if you attempted to pry them apart. They complete each other’s thoughts and do everything together. Their steps and movements are usually synchronized as well. Their favorite past time include exploring and their favorite food are strawberry tarts, oysters and tomato pepper soup. Both have no fear of death; their greatest fear is that they’ll be separated.

Bio: Tem and Tam are the cannibal duchess’s children. Their mother was too weak after their birth to kill them and they were saved by the midwife that delivered them. They were raised by the midwife and when Wonderland fell apart, they made sure that the lady was able to cross over to the ‘normal’ side. Tem and Tam are curious creatures with no fear of death; they could not be persuaded to leave while other’s fled. Staying behind, the children were in awe and delighted with the mass murders that happened around them. They took up weapons; Tem welded slender butterfly swords for close combat while Tam had pistols to keep enemies at bay. They work together in perfect harmony and have only lived so long because of that. Gradually, their fame and power grew and they went and established decent relationships with other famous dark wonderlanders; even with their mother, who had probably forgotten about the fact that they were her blood children. These relationships weren’t made up of love or friendliness but rather respect towards their skills. They are very successful in the dark wonderland and took over a mansion of their own by forcing the previous owner to sign it over.
They were named Tempest and Tamest by their mother as a joke. Tem was Tempest because he tried to bite her and Tam was Tamest for crying in front of her at her birth. The midwife was a serious woman who believed that a mother had every right to name her children whatever she wanted. She raised the twins with their birth given names and both children disliked it. They made sure that the nanny was the only person alive who knew their real names and called each other by new ones.
They left the nanny when they were ten and now that they have reached their teenage years and have built a reasonably infamous name for themselves. They have recently decided that it was time for them to travel around all of wonderland and to make some plans for their future.

Extra: When they are separated, both twins start jabbering in panic and attacking everyone they spot until they locate each other. Both have a telepathic link to the other’s mind and occasionally talk to the other with it. They seemed to have inherited their mother’s knack for killing, although the both of them aren’t cannibals. Their loyalty belongs to no Queen but themselves only. Tem is the oldest one.

At a young age Sayuri learned that mystery adds to the allure of a woman. Therefore, no one really knows her. She is currently a miko, and has been for eleven years, traveling to different geisha houses and training under different performers. She left the training for good three years back, after her mistress refused to acknowledge her as a geisha because of her "lack of discipline". So now she travels Japan as a self-proclaimed "Geisha", the only tie to her past is her grandmother's shamisen.

Her birth name is Sayuri Suisen. The name "Tachibana" came from her marriage to Adori Tachibana, who never knew her true last name. She left him after thier first year of marriage, climbing out thier shared bedroom window and escaping into the night. She was born on the island of Kyushu, in a small town in the Okinawa Prefecture. She comes from a ruined family whose ancestors were once shoguns during the Tokugawa. She ran away from home at age eleven, and has never been heard from as Sayuri "Suisen" since. No one knows what's happened to her in those eleven years...

Bio: Sophia grew up in a very lonely home. Her parents were almost never around, the supervisors hired to keep an eye on her didn't care for her, and friends wasn't a real option for her as school and gymnastics class were always in the way. This caused the girl to seek imaginary friends, friends that would never hurt her, friends she could see as true family. The older she got, the more her imagination grew. It had come to the point where she actually avoided actual people contact, believing they are bad people. Especially when either her Mother or Father tried communicating with her. Evelyn was taken to a psychiatric ward, having been released about a year ago, after spending three years of her life there. Though the voices of her friends she once knew aren't as strong as they use to be, Sophia still enjoys being in her own little world than in reality.
Extra: Evelyn is very fond of cats. She is the type of girl that will adopt any stray that she sees out on the street. Unfortunately, her parents found this out the hard way when they both had arrived home, a rare event, to find the house cluttered with felines. The baby-sitter was fired and she was grounded for a good year. But she was only eight, how was she suppose to know that her Mother was allergic to cat fur?

Luka sat up and pushed her hair out of her eyes, looking around with a startled expression on her face. "W-Where am I," she asked herself, standing up slowly. This definetely wasn't the orphanage anymore. She frowned, looking around for any sign of life in the woods surrounding her.

Rin yawned happily, stretching his arms. he rolled out of bed... and kept falling, until... THUD!

Jesus Christ! he screamed, opening his eyes. He was belly-up looking at the tree branch he presumed he had just fallen from. he sat up slowly. A forest. he was in a freakin` forest.

And there was a girl there. he looked at her, and raised a teal eyebrow. What is this place? he called to her.

Luka looked over when she heard someone calling to her, startled. "Um, I have no idea," she said, lifting a hand to her head and whincing a little. "I don't even know how I got here!" She didn't like the looks of this place- it looked dead, like the garden at winter.

Rin's eyes widened, and he chuckled. Oh! I get it. This is just a dream. See... He stood and marched over to the girl, poking her in the stomach. He expected his hand to go through, and when it didn't, he frowned. Wait, what?

Luka's eyes widened in surprise as he poked her; she fell back, not expecting the poke (it didn't take a lot to knock Luka down, if she wasn't paying attention.) "Hey, what's the big idea," she asked, glaring up at him a little. Then, she sighed and shook her head, leaning back and letting her arms support her. She looked up at him through her dark hair with serious blue eyes, her expression doubftul. "This isn't a dream, obviously," she said. Be nice, Luka, he may be you're only link to the real world.

Rin frowned. Sorry. he paused. I'm Rin, he added, extending his hand for her to shake it.

She grasped his hand and used it to pull herself up, then shook it quickly before letting go and tucking her hands behind her back. "I'm Luka, and it's cool." She looked around them, a small frown still on her face.

So. We should go see who's in charge around here, Rin said, starting to walk off and motioning for Luka to follow.

"Hey, wait," she said, running forward and grabbing his arm to stop him. "We can't just walk out and go looking for someone- we have no idea of what this place is like." She frowned, her eyes determined. Not very smart, is he, she thought.

Rin rolled his eyes, pulling away from Luka. Well then, what do you suggest we do? He asked in a rather sarcastic tone.

Her frown deepened a little. "I don't know," she said a little snappishly. She was getting in a bad mood, fast. "But I'm pretty sure we shouldn't just charge blindly into the woods." She looked at the woods and shivered a little- something about them gave her a bad feeling.

Rin turned, gazing into the depths of the forest. The trees swayed in the light breeze, giving the woods a life of it's own. Well... Rin shrugged, looking around. We can't just stay here. It's getting dark. He frowned.

Luka chew on her lip, trying to think of a plan. She opened her mouth to speak when another voice floated through the air.
"Hello... You seem lost." Luka blinked, startled, unconciously moving closer to Rin as someone smiled eerily at them through the trees. Chess' smile widened even more at the girl's fear.
"Who are you," Luka asked, willing her voice not to shake. "Where are we?"
"Where are you? You mean you don't know," he asked in a sweet, sarcastic voice, linking his ankles together and swinging them gently as he lay on the tree branch. The girl frowned, keeping her mouth shut. Good, now for the boy.

Rin raised an eyebrow. This reminds me of that one story.. So... who are you? he asked, his mouth a thin line.

"Me? Why, I'm no one special," he said, impossibly wide eyes following them. "You may call me Chess; you humans are fond of names, after all."
"Us humans," Luka questioned, frowning. "What exactly do you mean?"
"Now, now, I gave you my name, why don't you give me yours?"

The teal=haired boy narrowed his eyes. Rin, he called out, taking a step towards Chess. Chess, since you seem to be in the know, why don't you kindly inform Luka and as to where we are and now we got here? she asked politely, hoping for some answers.

Chess hung upside down in the tree, his knees hooked over the branch. "But that would take the fun out of everything," he said, sounding amused. "But I suppose I could humor you and tell you are. You, my dears, are in the wondrous world of Wonderland," he said. He chuckled a little as the girl's frown somehow managed to deepen.
"Wonderland? You're crazy, that's only a story." Chess shrugged lightly, holding his palms up (or down, facing towards the ground).
"Believe me when I say we're all mad here," he said with a soft smile.

Rin bit his lip. His suspicious where confirmed. If this is Wonderland, then you must be the Cheshire Cat. But... then who's Alice? He looked at Luka, who most definelty was not wearing Alice's traditional blue and white apron and black ribbon.

Luka glanced at Rin to find him looking at her. She frowned, picking up on his thoughts- no way, she couldn't be Alice. But who was it? Surely not Rin, who was a boy. She turned her attention back to Chess when he laughed.
"Oh, clever boy," he said sarcastically. "In a way, you are both right and wrong. As for who's Alice? It would be easier to ask who's the Alices?" He grinned widely. "You are Alice. So are you," he said, nodding at Luka. "Not a pretty sight, overrall, but we can't be picky now can we?"
Luka felt a little offended by the comment about not being pretty, but shrugged it off. "Look, I have no idea what you're trying to pull, but it's not funny," she said, firmly refusing to believe him. This was insane- it was too far out there for even Luka to believe.
Chess only shrugged- she'd believe, soon enough. They'd all believe, when the Queen was screaming for their heads.

Rin rolled his eyes. I can't be Alice. I'm a dude. And besides, where are the costumes? He asked, gnawing on his lip even more now. Part of him wanted it to be real, wanted the excitement, and the other part wanted to wake up.

Chess laughed outright, causing Luka to jump. "Forgive me for laughing," he said, still chuckling. "You really believe in all that dribble? Not even the first Alice wore that sort of clothing." He shook his head, clicking his tongue a little. "Really, you children are ridiculous. You can and are Alice, boy or girl. Don't you shake you're head, girl," he snapped at Luka, who had been doing just that. She blinked, startled, then glared at him.
"You expect me to believe you? That's just some story told to children. It isn't real, and Wonderland isn't real." Chess sighed dramatically.
"Fine, don't believe me. Anyways, I must take my leave. Enjoy yourselves, children," he said graciously. He seemed to be fading away, his feet going first, and then his legs....
Before his head went, a sadistic smile crossed his lips. "Enjoy yourselves, because it very well may be that you won't have a head to enjoy yourselves with." Then, he was gone.
"Wait," Luka yelled, running forward. It was too late; he was gone. "Great, now what," she asked, turning to Rin.

Rin closed his eyes. He wanted to believe Chess. He wanted to stay. He wanted to forget. He wanted to wake up.
It.. it makes sense. Sort of. He bit his lip harder, running his hand through this thick, shoulder-length hair. I mean... did you see him disapear? It was like magic. And... think about what it means. To be an Alice. What did Alice do in the story? She stopped the Queen of Hearts from doing some evil stuff. Or something like that. Maybe it was the Red Queen? I don't know. Anyway, the point is, maybe being an Alice means that we have some sort of.. task to accomplish here. He ran both his hands through his hair, thoroughly frazzled. Okay. Okay. What did Alice do, in the book, when she first got to Wonderland? I can't remember if she first saw those twins, Dum and Dee or something, or that caterpillar on drugs. Or was it the Tea Party? And what about the rabbit? Okay, maybe we skipped the whole falling through the rabbit hole thing. He stopped to take a breath. He didn't ramble often, Rin actually surprised himself.
