The Lovely Rose Cafe

The Lovely Rose was built sometime in the late 50s-early 60s and is still standing to this day, thanks to the loving care of its owner, and the many owners(All related) before them. The current owner Delilah Moore decided its time the Cafe hires people not related to her. According to stories the Lovely Rose is said to be the 'Match Making' cafe, people find their true love in this cafe, according to people the tea has a love potion in it. Part of my Life Story: From day one I was in the Cafe, everyone thought i was the most adorable baby alive, My Grandmother owned the Cafe at the time. When I was a teenager I began working for the Cafe, my mother took the cafe over when I was about fifteen. Once I turned twenty my mother retired and gave the Cafe to me. I was always hopeless when it came to love, so I gave up on it but I'm still hoping maybe one day I can find that significant other.....

Part of my Life Story: Harlie grew up in a narmal life though she was more upper class than most of the people she knew. she herself is a hopeless romantic and liked to play matchmaker as a teenager most of which worked out. she moved away from her home town after her parents divorced though she is usualt cheery if she is in a bad mood you will know.

Part of my life story involves my parents disowning me when I was fifteen. I don't know what it was, but they never thought I could do anything right. It was always "this is wrong" and "you can't do anything, can you?" and a bunch of other stuff I wish they hadn't said. But they said it, and off I was, living at my friend Treasure's house.
I would like to work as a waitress.
Anything else that I'd like to say would be that I'm outgoing and I love talking. I'm afraid of sunflowers, though, that and spiders. I always carry a pocketknife and MASE around with me.

Part of my Life Story: Alyssa was sent away by her parents to a private school which was nearby, however when she was younger she skipped a grade, and now she is 17 and fresh out of highschool. Her parents have told her not to return home and says she is on her own now, that she is now in the real world and it is sink or swim. Currently with no place to stay she hopes to get the job in order to pay for an apartment and get back on her feet. Alyssa loves people and is very friendly. There is almost always a smile on her face, except when she is thinking of home..

Part of my Life Story: Just ran away from his home, his parents were trying to send him away. His dad was chasing him because they want to send him away to a boarding school since his grandparents died. the grandparents were the only reason he was here and not sent away since his parents and him have faught so much.

Cosse giggled and walked into the Lovely Rose. It was her first day of work and she was super excited. She used to come all the time when she was little and drink tea with her mom. She would dream of love as she sat there, her mother telling wonderful stories about prince charming coming and wisking her off her feet to bring her to a land of dreams. Sometimes her mother would even talk about her father and how they met at the Lovely Rose long long ago. Of corse her father was dead, he had been for many years. Cosse didn't even remeber him. Her mother always told her not to fall in love it only leads to tragidy. She didn't believe her mother though. No matter what facts were given, her great grandfather, grandfather, father, and who ever she was to fall in love with died or were suppose to die shortly after the birth of a child. Cosse refused to believe, even if it could be true. She wouldn't let it happen to her she was different.

"Hello?" Cosse said stepping into the Lovely Rose. Her hair was pulled back into a french braid. She had on a white dress and a pink flower was in her hair. She glanced around looking for any sign of people. Someone had to be there the door was unlocked. "Anyone here?"

Delilah heard the door of the Cafe open and then she heard someones voice. She walked out of the kitchen, her green eyes scanned the people enjoying their tea with another person, no doubt going to get together after this. She smiled and then her eyes came to a stop on a girl with a pink flower in her hair. She stepped forward, "Hello im Delilah, i own the Lovely Rose" The woman said holding out a pale hand. She blinked when she remembered who this girl was, "Hello Cosse!" she smiled, "You ready to start working today?" she asked her pale hair bouncing as she moved.

Harlie came into the main room to see Cosse and Delila talking Harlie had come to work early so she wasnt sure is Cosse was late or on time because she hadnt bothered to look at the clocks in some time since she arrived.

Looking past the two and at the people drinking their tea most of them couples or soon to be couples staring at each other almost unaware of the people around them she wished that she could find someone like that but she was focused on helping others find their one and only love in life and less focused on her relationships.

Cosse smiled and looked as another person walked into the Lovely Rose. "Yes Delila I'm always ready to work, I've been excited about my first day ever since I got the job." She giggled softly at the fact she sounded like and over excited teenager. She looked around also noticing a few other people beside Harlie had come in. She wondered if she was the only waitress here at this point in time.

Delilah smiled, "good," she looked the girl over and then turned to Harlie, "I think shes a perfect addition to our little family" the pale blonde smiled. She turned back to Cosse, "Just flitter from table to table and take orders. Harlie and i will fill the orders" She looked at Harlie, "Your the only waitress right now so we will help out as much as we can" She hugged the girl quickly and then turned and disappeared behind the kitchen door, pushing it back open and popping her head out, "Ring the bell when you get an order" she smiled and closed the door again.

Alexia hopped out of her car, waving to Treasure as she got in the driver's seat and sped off. Walking in the door, she smiled at Harlie, Cosse, and Delilah, waving a hand as she went into the employee bathroom with her little outfit. She put on a fake smile and pushed at her hair, finding a clip and clipping it out of her eyes. She dropped her bag off in the little cubbies they kept on hand, pushing the Out door and stepping out of the kitchen. "Sorry I'm late. Treasure was being a pain this morning." She said, shaking her head once to let her hair fall out of the back of the outfit.

Delilah smiled, when she heard the door, she poked her head out, "Hello Alexia" she smiled waving to the girl. "Cosse please change into your uniform" she told the girl. She popped her head back into the kitchen and made her way to the little office her and Harlie shared. She crashed into the chair and stared at the ceiling her pale hair falling in ringlet curls down the back of the office chair.

Alex walked into the café and sat down putting his head down on the table he started to think. Why me, there is nothing wrong with it but I thought I was happy, but now, Damn it why me?. Tears started to well up and he brushed them away he looked out the window wondering if he would every be happy again.

Cosse walked into the employee bathroom and changed into her work uniform. She finished changing and stepped out just in time to see a man walk in. She smiled and walked over to the table. Hoping Alexis wouldn't mind. "Hello sir. Is there anything I can get you?" She asked wondering what the man was looking at out the window. Cosse wondered if the man was day dreaming.

"The closest thing to alcohol you can give a teenager" Alex said without looking up "and add a shot clear mindness" Alex lokked up and forced a smile

Cosse ask looked at the teenager and smiling slightly. She could tell he was forcing a smile but it was a pretty good fake. "Well, coffee or tea always clears my mind. " She said and paused for a moment. "Are you ok?" Cosse asked somewhat worried about the boy he didn't look so good.

Harlie sat in a chair across the room and crossed one leg over the other sipping on a cup of orange tea watching Cosse talk to the boy who had just walked in she could tell he was upset this would be a good person for Cosse to serve because you dont always get the chipper happy sort sometimes you got the sad or angry guest.

"I am fine, I guess, I just broke up with my girlfriend and well" Alex sighed "I am just confused that is all" he fought back the tears as the smile vanished, he was the best actor in the school, but she saw threw his charade. "If you wanna talk i am open to it, unless you need to work" he shot another quick, but small, smile. this one was real he was glad to have somebody that was worried

"There aren't many people here so I think I can talk for a little while." Cosse glanced around and saw one other table with people. She knew that should be Alexias table so untill someone else came in. "I'm Cosse." She said."Is there anything I could help you be unconfused about?"

"Well, not to sound rude but could you put in my drink, i could care less just give me something strong, then we can talk" Alex blushed he hated to sound mean or rude, but sometimes you have to be and he hated when he was

"OH! Yeah...I'll be right back." Cosse said writing 1 coffee. On an order slip and left it for Dehlila. She rang the bell and walked back to the boys table. "Sorry..I'm new here, and kinda forgetful"

"It's okay," Alex smiled again, "well, I just broke up with my girlfriend as I said before because well, it was great. The sex, the romance , the EVERYTHING. But one night last month I had a dream, this dream started out really good, then i realized the really good was coming from another kid in the school, a boy on the soccer team. Well I was confused and started to question myself, when I told Crystal-my girlfriend-she flipped out on me and broke up with me, and now I am not sure what I want, or who, or what to do." As soon as Alex started he couldn't stop he thought to himself Why did I just do that?

Cosse nodded slightly confused. "So you really liked your girlfriend, then had a dream about a boy, when you told her...what exactly did she say?" She asked quietly. She wasn't sure how much she would really help Alex but figured it was worth a shot. Cosse couldn't make things any worse and even if he just talked to her about it and she had no clue what was going on. It should make him feel better.

"Well, she called me , well.....you know, and she smacked me, and told me she never wanted to see me again" tears started to roll down Alex's face. "so much for always understanding"
