Hello, my name is Liesel Swift.

I look like this.

My brother and I are both 14 but I’m the younger twin.

Our gift is regeneration.

What I think you should know about me is that my parents always found our perfect attendance a bit, well, odd. Other kids came down with the chicken pox, but never Maxwell or I. We went through elementary school without a single day missed. Scratches and bruises seemed to heal up perfectly within mere hours and we never experienced any infections. Even at the onset of puberty, neither of us faced the embarrassing facial marks known as pimples, zits, or blackheads.

During the summer following our elementary graduation, Maxwell and I had a terrible bike accident. We had been riding together, him standing on the pedals and myself on the handlebars. A stray cat ran out in front of the bike and when Maxwell swerved my balance faltered and we both came crashing down. I don't remember much except waking up in the ambulance beside Maxwell. Both of us suffered broken bones and stayed in the hospital together for a week at which point we were released, having fully recovered.

The doctors were astounded, the nurses called it a miracle, but the letter that arrived at our house following the incident referred to it as a gift. The letter offered us enrollment at a "School for Gifted Teens" and our parents grudgingly agreed. I was excited at the possibility of exploring a side of myself I never knew about but at the same time afraid. I'm so very shy you see, I'm not sure how easily I'll make friends. Still, I'll always have Maxwell there by my side. As long as we're together, I'm sure we'll be fine.

But really I’m quite timid compared to my brother, who can be a bit brash. Ironically, my passion is fencing. When I put on my uniform and pull down the mask, I don't feel like myself anymore. I no longer feel the eyes on me and can concentrate myself fully on lunging and parrying. I give my all to the sport and although I might look a bit frail I'm actually quite strong. When I'm not practicing with my epee, you can find me in the ceramics studio. Something about the way you can turn such a dull material like clay into something beautiful fascinates me. I also enjoy the way my work seems to be able to speak on my behalf when I'm too timid to speak for myself.

Hello, my name is Maxwell Swift.

My sister and I are both 14 but I’m the older twin.

What I think you should know about me is I was raised by my parents with my younger twin sister, Liesel, and lived a moderately normal life. I was spoiled slightly by my father because I'm his one and only son and almost always got what I wanted when I asked for it. School was never too hard for me. Making friends on the other hand was a little tougher. I gave up around fifth grade connecting with others. Too much work on my part.

I've always know there was something different about Liesel and I. We were never sick, and even when the flu season came and went nothing affected us. It wasn't until the bike accident that it finally clicked. We weren't human. We were immortal. Those were the first thoughts that crossed my mind when I laid in my hospital bed, feeling my bones moving into place and mending themselves. I could close my eyes and feel the cuts and gashes on my body closing shut. It was disgusting, yet at the same time relieving. I felt superior to the others because of our "powers".

Yet I didn't expect a letter to arrive at our home weeks after the bike incident telling us we were welcomed to some school. A special school for special people like us. Liesel seemed to enjoy the concept of going to such a place. I, personally, didn't believe it would be good. Living with kids exactly like us? We aren't "special" at all anymore. But I can't say no to my sister. I suppose I'll just have to suck it up and go through with it.

But really I’m far more assertive than my sister. Everything is black and white to me. There are no gray areas. No inbetween. I'm not exactly friendly to people, and most see my bluntness as annoying or rude, but I speak my mind and don't care about what others think. This often leads to many arguments.

What I think you should know about me is I was born in Canada, but my mother is from Korea. She raised me by working at her coffee shop. I inherited my gift from my grandfather, who died of an illness years ago. I'm a year older than everyone because my mother tried to home school me, but ended up not knowing what to do and plunked me into kindergarten a year late.
But really I’m very smart. I have a short temper which doesn't help my abilities at all. I also catch onto things faster than most.

Still, I guess it might be interesting to develop my powers and unleash them on an all new student body.
But really I’m such a sucker for gossip and my powers really seem to help in that department. I’m usually the first to find out the latest dirt and I can’t help but share it with my closest…20 friends. I'd probably do well in school if only I concentrated as much on my studies as I do on getting the lowdown of every other student.

My sister likes to say it makes me distinguished looking. She also says I sound like a girl too so her opinion doesn't matter very much.

What I think you should know about me is I was born in England into a wealthy family. My parents are business tycoons and my sister married a rich man in the oil business. It's been well known from my father's side that we had special abilities branching from our Russian heritage. So when I received the letter to the school I wasn't at all surprised. I had been playing with my gift since the day I was born, adapting to eternal darkness. I can feel the moisture and liquids around me, and by them I can sense and know where everything and everyone is. The more humid the air, the more heightened my senses become.
But really I’m a jokester. Being blind your whole life you need to learn to look on the bright side of things. Not much gets me down.

What I think you should know about me is that I come from a rather large family. Surprisingly enough out of my 2 brothers and 3 sisters, I'm the only child that has shown any supernatural abilities. My house is usually a mess, both literally and figuratively but we all manage to get along somehow. It's so much fun to play jokes on all my siblings but they get pretty annoyed with me most of the time. The house is probably a much quieter place now that I've gone off to school. I actually left a year ago but I don't miss it. There's always something new and exciting going on here.
But really I’m quite dramatic. I want to use my abilities as an actor and I fit right in with the theater club. I'm a bit of a practical jokster but don't take it personally, that's just who I am. I'm rather tall and skinny and was probably quite attractive at one point in my life, but years of sour expressions seems to have shaped my face into a permanent look of disapproval.

What I think you should know about me is I was once a fun-loving kid as well. My grandparents always scolded me for running around town and getting into trouble. I was actually quite the delinquent in middle school until my pop sent me off to live with his parents. They did their best to instill me with some morals, with some dignity, and my grandmother showed me how to garden. Both of them shaped me into who I am today and I greatly regret their death. It was only after their passing that I realized I had a real gift and began pursuing it. After going to college for science, I got a job offer here at the School for the Gifted and have been teaching here ever since.
But really I’m quite old fashioned despite my rather young age. I believe in principles, in values, in morals. It's a shame none of the kids have them these days. Their antics tend to get me rather uptight and I spend every possible minute that I'm not teaching classes in my garden, the one and only place where I can find peace.

Any ideas on the age or bio? I was kinda thinking they might have had an accident of sorts and their powers were discovered and a letter was sent to their house suggesting their enrollment but I haven't gotten much further than that.

I was thinking similar. They grew up normally, although their parents thought it was strange they never got sick (I imagine their regeneration protects them from any illness, since that makes sense), and when they finished elementary school (or middle school if you want. We don't have those here, so I just say elementary), ready to enter high school, that's when they get a letter from the school.

Or it could be when they're entering middle school. I don't know the ages of middle school though. I don't think they should be too young...

The part about the sickness makes sense. We only have elementary and high school where I'm from as well. High school starts at grade 7 in our town. I'd imagine they'd be like 13 or 14ish most likely going into normal high school around grade 9.

Agreed. High school starts at grade 8 here, but I think 13 is too young. 14 for grade 9 is perfect! So we have their bios, and age...

Looks good! I finished up my profile and personality I think, I just have to polish off my likes and dislikes. I wasn't sure if they would have single rooms or doubles but it's probably more amusing to have doubles. I guess a good place for me to start in making another student would be to make Leisel's room mate then. ^_^

I was wondering about a family name. How aaabboooutt.. Sultor? Matthews? Elenn? Royal? Banks? lol I'm stealing my own characters last names.

I like that character, wish I had thought of making a blind character, I've always wanted to play one. Just a really random question, WTF do you do to your posts to put sooo many font and color codes into them? I think it'd be convenient of we color code the characters but it takes me forever to decode all of the stuff in your posts...

Lol I click 'Go Advanced' that's beside 'Post Quick Reply' under the typing box. It opens up to a big page and then I highlight it all by pressing my CTRL and A keyboard keys at the same time. Then I go up to the thing that has the font titles (It should say Verdana in the box right now) and I just pick whatever font I think looks nice, then I move two over to the big A with the black bar under it (again, everything is highlighted) and choose what colour I want.

Wait, wait, sorry, I read your post wrong. Codes? I don't have any codes. Or, at least I don't see any...

Agreed. I think one more character done by you would be enough for now. If we need more we'll just add their profiles when we stumble to them. I think we need to make a couple teachers. Especially for the classes they have.

You'll be doing the healer/nurse, right? So there's one class down. I'll do the math teacher... He could also be the vice-principal, I suppose. Our principal's teach classes, lol.
Oh and the Weapons teacher could also be the Self Defence teacher. He works double blocks, y'know? Just in different categories.
I can think up the PE teacher too, and then you can do the Cerematics and Physical Science teacher if you want since Liesel takes those two classes.
