I've been on the roleplay scene for four years, first on Gaia and now here. (Personally, I think everyone here is much nicer.) Its become one of my favorite things to do in my spare time, and I've got this insatiable hunger for it :3
I'm not a very picky person. All I ask is that
*You can roleplay on a semi-lit or higher level (I'm beginning to think the standard of semi-literacy has dropped, so I'm considering changing that to lit..... But I really don't want to.)
*You can post at least a paragraph for me to work off of.
--A paragraph consists of 5 strong sentences. I understand the occasional one-liner, but please make it something I can work with (I can't do much with "he sat down." ._.)
*You can reply to me at least a couple times a week. I'm not asking you to be on all the time- not even I can do that. All I ask is two, maybe three posts a week. If you can do more I would love you forever.
*You can bring a fresh, original character to the table, and help move the story along in interesting and fun ways.
*Please, don't start an rp with me and then not post ;--; It makes me feel like you don't like me D:
Anyways, enough about me, onto the roleplay!
*I like anything with a steampunk, 1800's, or futuristic setting (A combination of any of the three would make my heart stop beating with joy.)
*I like pirates.
*I like steampunk.
*I like romance
*BUTBUTBUT I usually only do hetero. That's because I fail at yaoi and refuse to do yuri. I will do yaoi if I have a forgiving partner, though.
*And I prefer to play the girl. In a yaoi, I'd probably be the uke.
*Yes. I do the occasional incest. But you have to give me a good plot.
*It needs to be interesting. If I get bored with it, I'm just not going to post.
*Did I mention I like steampunk?
*I like challenging romances (Like, when the two falling in love are on different sides of the war)
*I'm pretty much open to whatever.
*Right now, I'm kind of in a literate mood. So if my posts are insanely long, I apologize ^.^ Feel free to slack off into semi-lit land if I start wandering into four-five-six paragraph land...... :sweat:
*Oh yeah, and I love steam punk. Absolutely adore it.
*I also love Resident Evil. I'm the girl who has played most of the games (I never finished the Leon disk on RE2. Too lazy.), watched all the movies, hell pretty much knows the movies by heart, read all the books, and whatnot. I love using original characters in old settings- the old characters have their own stories, and I don't feel we should tamper with those.
Here are some story ideas that I've had floating around. Be warned, there is lots (AND LOTS) of gooey romance. Please don't steal my ideas or I'll come after you. Promise.
The bolded text isn't a set title. Just something to give you a small hint as to what the story is about so that you don't waste forever reading through plots that don't interest you.

**Romeo and Juliet, sans sappy girls and suicide
Two people meet one snowy night in a tavern in a time of war, and over the course of a couple drinks the two find themselves falling fast in love. They depart the next day, promising to find each other again in the near future. Little do they know that the other is the child of the leader of their enemy. When they meet on the battlefield, will the two stick to their duties and fight, or will they search for an alternate route?
*Fire and Ice
Two people have recently become the bodyguards of the Princess. One is a warrior, heart and soul, while the other is a spy and serves as a double to the princess. At first, the two hate each other, their personalities as different as hot and cold. But as their jobs draw them closer together and leave them depending on each other more and more, will they find themselves falling in love? What happens when she is kidnapped by enemies who mistake her for the princess?
(Can be set anywhere, fantasy or not)
*Love at first sight?

He absolutely refuses to teach her- until his commanding general orders him to, even promoting the girl to his second in command. While neither of them are happy about it, they must suck it up- because the war doesn't have time for their petty feelings. But as she begins to learn, the two begin to warm up to each other, and find their hate melting into something much, much more. But the war doesn't have time for their feelings, and both are honor bound to give their lives for the whole, if necessary. Can their love go ignored, or will things begin to heat up? (I have two rps going with this idea- I'd like to do some other ones before opening this plot up again.)
**Who holds the key now?
He's a mercenary, nothing more then a hired gun. He's been doing this for so long that he's insensitive to his missions- he gets the job, he gets it done, he takes the money and that's that. But when he's hired to kidnap a young teenage star, even he questions whats going on. Of course, that doesn't stop him from kidnapping the girl- but what he thought would be an easy day turns out to be a wild ride when she shows she's not the kind of girl to lay down and die. Things start getting tense between the two as they fight with each other- but they're going to have to learn to get along real quick, because there's someone out to get her. And he's not willing to fail his job. As the two fight each other and those in pursuit of her, they find each themselves developing feelings for the one person they wished they had never met.
(Based very loosely on the MV for the song "That Guy's Girl" by 24/7)
**Did you get my sign?
He was a normal guy once- he was good looking, did well in school, was top of his martial arts class, you name it. But then he finds a mysterious letter on his doorstep with nothing but the words "help me" written on them in a neat, tidy script- and his world turns upside down.
She's been kidnapped- but then, her world was never normal. Locked up with no way out, she only has one hope left to her- the boy who finds her pleas for help. Using the very power that got her kidnapped in the first place, she reaches out to him, begging, pleading, and giving him as much help as she can.
Now, its a race against the clock to save her. As he gets closer and closer, their link gets stronger and stronger, until he's seeing a girl in his dreams- and he's sure that its her, somehow. He's desperate to save her, but as he gets closer to finding her, he's drawn deeper into a dark, mysterious world that lives right under the surface of ours, and is nothing like he ever imagined.

Personality: Rena is quiet and a bit cold; she's not one who's exactly in touch with her emotions. After surviving a terrible childhood, she's decided that distance is key and emotion is useless.

Name: Freya Chizuru
Age: 17
Race: human
Personality: Cheery and spirited, Freya is the go-to girl when you want an adventure. She's got a big heart and a great sense of humor, but she can be a bit reckless.
What roles she plays: student, waitress, adventurer, pirate
Name: Luka Naname
Age: 18
Race: half human, half demon
Personality: Luka is a very confident, spirited young lady- but she isn't exactly ladylike. She'd have a barroom brawl over a fancy dinner any day, and likes to prove that she's the best at what she does.
What roles she plays: Demon hunter, assassin, soldier, bounty hunter, pirate

Age: 16
Race: Human
Personality: Shizune is a bit spacey and can come off as kind of aloof, but she's a sweet girl once you can actually get her to focus. She's got a big imagination and video games seem to be the only thing she can actually stay focused on for longer then ten minutes.
What roles she plays: Student, gamer (Anyone remember .Hack?)
Name: Lein (pronounced Lane)
Age: While she looks to be in her late teens, her real age is unknown
Race: cyborg
Personality: Lein is rather smart when it comes to mathematical and scientific things, but when you start breaking into more personal matters the girl is lacking. She's a highly curious little girl, and her curiousity gets her into trouble more often then not. She tends to be rather naive.
What roles she plays: mechanic, scientist's helper
Name: Deidra Haneley
Age: 18
Race: Human
Personality: Deidra is a rather independent girl, and can be a bit standoffish when it comes to strangers. She's a practical young woman, and doesn't like to waste her time with silly little things.
What roles she plays: student, mechanic (she's better suited for steam punk roleplays.)
Name: Kayen Moore (Pronounced Kay-enn)
Age: 16
Race: Human
Personality: Kayen is quiet and shy when it comes to people- but when it comes to ghosts, she's the go-to girl. She likes helping out the dearly departed, and spends more time with the dead then the living.
What roles she plays as: student, ghost hunter
Name: Kincaid Nagashita
Age: can range from 14 to 18, depending on the situation
Race: human
Personality: Kincaid is a spunky, upbeat girl who lacks social grace- she doesn't quite know when she shouldn't say something. She likes to investigate and get to the bottom of things, and will stop at nothing to figure something out.
What roles she plays: detective, student, journalist
Name: Rhian Grigori (Pronounced Ry-ann)
Age: 17
Race: Human/ghost
Personality: Rhian is a very angry young woman, and tends to have mood swings. She criticizes others to no end, but at the end of the day its herself she hates. She blames herself for her sister's death (Which goes for if she's played as a living character or a dead one.)
What roles she plays: ghost, phsyc ward patient, hospital patient, student

Age: 21
Race: depends
Personality: Kito is a quiet, solitary figure. She tries her best to avoid conflict, but she has a nasty temper and can be easily provoked by some topics. Her quietness does not stem from a lack of words to say, but rather she believes her opinions are better kept to herself.
What roles she plays: Street racer, soldier, pirate, (anything futuristic would work best.)

Age: 20

Personality: Kyo is a very strong woman, and does not believe in bowing down to anyone or belittling her beliefs to please someone else. She refuses to give up, and will drag her broken body across the battlefield before asking for help.

Age: depends, ranges from 17-23
Race: human, can be something else
Personality: Gabe is a rather standoffish boy, and has a hot, quick to burst temper. He's a fighter through and through, and takes defeat badly (Which leaves him in a bad mood more often then not.) He's very passionate about his beliefs, and will fight until the end.
What roles he plays as: Computer hacker, sniper, pirate, student

I really like your post, it seems we have similar interests. I've been rping for a couple of years now so I consider myself on a highly literal level :)
I am very open to almost anything, although I am not too fluent in fandom rps, but I'm willing to research if needed. I love doing historical rp but its very hard to find so I'm thrilled to find someone interested in 1800s, and I love the steampunk style!
