Okay, I've seen all the episodes that have been aired so far, so I thought I'd put down my two cents and see what anyone else has to say.
It's kinda nice to see something classic, and I'm glad they brought back some of the classic voice actors. But at the same time I'm kinda disappointed they cut out so many scenes and a few episodes. I mean, some of the fights seem fairly short when you look back at the original DBZ stuff, right? Like the fight between Goku and Ginyu, I definitely remember it being longer.
What does anyone else think of the series?

I feel the same way. It was those side adventures or those extra scenes in the fight that made my childhood memories. Cutting them out kills the experience. My younger cousin has been watching Kai, and when I show her some of the old episodes she ends up a bit confused on why there are things happening that was on TV. I know it's a long series, but if you really wanna please fans you've got to remaster everything.

Personally, it was so chopped up that I didn't care for it at all. I grew up with the original Japanese version though.

As said above, I grew up on the Japanese version. I believe the cut was way to censored, and I'm a bit annoyed as to why they think we need it to be so. There are way more violent televisions shows out there that kids have every availability to watch, and if you think it's bad enough you have to cut it, then why put it on at all. In any case, I do enjoy how they remastered the color and such, I believe the visual effects were done fairly well.
