I don't know how famous they are in America, but they sure are in Europe.

I love them! They were pretty famous here in America for a couple months, but the hype has died down and I never hear about them anymore. Our trends come and go pretty quickly. :XD I'm a little egotistical on the fact I enjoyed Tokio Hotel for years before they came to America, haha.

I prefer their German songs over their translated English versions. It sounds more natural to me then. ^_^ How about you?

They're moving to LA, I guess they might have another tour there as well. n__n

And I prefer Schrei and Zimmer above Scream and Room 483, but I think Humanoid has some nice [better] english songs as well. Because in some they have beautiful sentences <3 [So they have in Scream and Room too but oh well.]

Really, they are? I guess I don't keep up with their life, just their music :XD The first song I ever heard was 1,000 Meere. I didn't like it at first, but then I realized just how beautiful it really is. Bill has such a lovely voice. I don't have their albums, I just downloaded their music so I have all the songs I like :lol: Schrei is awesome, but I don't like Scream. It just sounds kind of..fake, I guess. I appreciate they took the time to re-do their songs for the American audience, but I still prefer their natural music over it :yes:

The first song I heard was Spring Nicht, and I was laughing so fucking hard at Bill for looking exactly like a girl. :']
Then I fell in love with the song, ignoring the fact that everyone I knew hated them and he does look like a girl. Then I listened to Rette Mich and so Zimmer and Schrei on. I hated Humanoid in the beginning. [Oh yeah, I still hate them. As persons.] Then I realised [again] it actually was nice. That they actually had ncie songs on it.
The best of all is that I met my best friends because of them. <3

Ur, I don't like them...well I used to like their first album, but the last one was terrible, like seriously it was way too commercial.

Österreich in German and Oostenrijk in Dutch but I have absolutely no idea what it is in English ><]]. soon, that's the only thing I know right now. Oh, yeah, and that they're jerks, of course ^^

I have this huge homepade poster that a friend of mine and me made. We took a wallpaper picture I liked, and blew it up to print out in the size of a poster. Then I made a wood frame for it, with a Plexiglas cover. She also painted the band name in cool colors to match the poster. If I could figure out how to take a picture of it and show you, I would :sweat:

The camera on my cell phone doesn't transfer the pictures to the internet, and my iPod only takes videos :XP I also have a speed painting of Bill done by my friend while I was in high school. It's just black paint on plain white paper, but it's pretty good!

I don't care for them. =/ Their music is distasteful and so is their style. They're nothing but a pale shadow compared to real visual kei artists like X-Japan. Just my opinion, though.

How do you see it as distasteful? I've only seen visual kai as japanese bands, and Tokio Hotel isn't from Asia so I don't see your point with that :sweat:

You'd be wrong then. Visual Kei bands does not pertain to their race. The idea of Visual Kei is both the sound and appearance. And no, not all Japanese bands are Visual Kei. I see it as distasteful because I don't care for their music. Just because Tokio Hotel isn't Japanese doesn't mean that they can't attempt to be Visual Kei. And they most likely are. Their adrognyous dress and music are very much attempting to replicate Visual Kei music. Aside from the fact that they named their band after Tokyo. True, Japanese started Visual Kei. But. Visual Kei music isn't referring to them being Japanese.

I never said all Japanese bands use visual kei. I'm saying of the visual kei I have seen, it is all Japanese bands because visual kei refers to the movement of japanese bands using costumes, big hairstyles, and other items related to that style.

Just because you don't like their music, doesn't mean their distasteful. I'm curious as to what you find offensive about their music.

Me finding them distasteful is my opinion. I'm not offended by it. I just think they suck, lol. They give me a headache. But if other people like it, then that's not my business. I'm not gonna hate on you or anyone who likes them. I just dislike the band. I didn't even care for Monsoon, though it's the only song that I found somewhat decent.

But no, Visual Kei doesn't have to be strictly Japanese bands. Anyone could be pull off Visual Kei. You see it at conventions all the time. Some people get it, some don't. Not all hairstyles are really that big either. One thing I love about Visual Kei is that there's a lot of different styles of Visual Kei. You could have Lolita Visual Kei bands, which would be stuff like Lareine or Malice Mizer. You could have more goth Visual Kei like The Gazette or Dir en Grey. You could even have Visual Kei like Versailles Philharmonic Quintet, which is more Aristocratic. <3 Lol. X-Japan does have massively big hair, though. D: I love it. Just like how there's different genres of music within Visual Kei. I could go on and on about it...lol.
