Okay so I just recently invested in a nice Xbox 360 for myself and am looking for some game suggestions.
I currently bought Oblivion, Dynasty Warriors 5 and Resident Evil 5. I'm going to borrow some games from friends like some of the Halo series, Bioshocks, Assassin's Creeds, Fallout 3 etc.
So give me some of your faves and if you have the time a little about them or why you like them <3
Thanks guys <3

I really liked Star Ocean Four but for some reason it became an unreadable disk :( so the game is totally useless. I'm so flipping angry at the moment for that. Eternal Sonata is a great game too if you like Role playing games. I have a play station three so I don't play my x-box three sixty as much as I used to now. Also one that I really liked but didn't get as high reviews was Infinite Undiscovery. That game is worth giving a chance to you know.

I was interested in getting Star Ocean but a friend of mine said it wasn't very good. I loved the one for the PS2 <3 (oddly enough the second disk of that game is messed up for me, it starts to lag once I get to a certain point in the dungeon). Oh I love roleplaying games so I will for sure check that one out! I haven't heard of Infinite Undiscovery, I'd like to look into it too. Thank you for the suggestions <3

I got my 360 rather recently as well. Well, this just personal opinion, but my favorite games at the moment are Final Fantasy XIII and Eternal Sonata.
I just got FF a week ago, but I'm totally loving it! It's a really great game. The graphics are amazing. The characters are very interesting and well thought out. The story is great. The controls are amazing. I'm really fond of the battle system. You play as a single character, but your teammates are there and are a BIG help. There's times when you can actually just let them fight for you XD And the way they introduce the battle system is great. It's step by step, showing how to get through the first through battles and then lets you do whatever you like. I'm sure there must be some complaints on this game, but I've yet to find a single problem. Also, there's a part of the game where your riding this big machine and get to step on people XD I'm sorry, but I had WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much fun running over the guards and watching smash into the rock, explode, and die XD
Eternal Sonata I brought from a friend's recommendation, and wow, best recommendation ever! The characters are great, the style is beautiful, the cutscenes are amazing, the turn-based battle system is very very very fun, the story is gorgeous, a nearly perfect game! I think the only flaw was the camera (It's a fixed camera, you see only what the game wants you to see), but that's not too big of a deal. The game was based opon Federic Chopin, so his beautiful music can be found in that game. But the game also has it's own music which is just as good, if not better. The story is really great, it pulls you in so deeply. All the characters are so well thought out, you really grow to love them.
If your into the Role Playing type of games, and like stories and gorgeous art, these two games are a must!

Star Ocean's are good, they are in depth and very invovled and require high attention as there is lots of story content to the game, and if you don't pay close attention you can be left behind not really knowing what is going on. Yes, the one on the playstation two was Star Ocean Three, Till the end of time. I liked that game too, but it got stolen from me somehow. Role playing games are the best, I play them a bit too much I think. Infinite Undiscovery is cheap and affordable and is a decent game, it's not the best but it's worth playing for the price it goes for. They should have developed that game more and spent more time on it. The story is centered on a mysterious minstrel named Capell who is imprisoned because he looks almost identical to a liberator of a hero named Sigmund. So Princess Aya breaks into the dungeon to rescue Capell and that is where the story begins on a quest to free the chained moon. It's an interesting idea, but the story could have been fleshed out a bit more.
@Random Candy ~ Which Final Fantasy did you get? I have the Eternal Sonata for the Play Station Three and you can play as Prince Crescendo and Princess Serenade and there are extra levels and dungeons. Plus you can ressurect Claves. I love the Play station three...lol Hurray for updates and remakes and ports.

If you like traditional RPGs I thought Lost Odyssey was impressive, and it's probably quite cheap by now. I preferred it to Eternal Sonata, which is incredibly slow paced but beautiful and quite touching. Batman: Arkham Asylum I really can't recommend enough, it is tremendously good fun. It has a combat system that is really easy to use and enjoyable for everyone, but still has lots of room to be mastered. If you have it hooked up to the internet I'd really recommend Shadow Complex from Xbox Live Arcade, it's very Super Metroid and very entertaining.
You should try Limbo on XBLA as well, it's stunningly beautiful and very, very haunting. It's also very dark and macabre, here's a shot of it:
Finally, an Xbox Live Indie game made by a couple of people I know(!). It's called Breath of Death VII, it's a tongue-in-cheek SNES era RPG that has been very highly reviewed and costs a mere $1!

Oblivion was a great choice in games, but I would go for the expansions, both the Shivering Isles and Knights of Nine, both make the gameplay ever better. I orginally bought only Oblivion only, but about 3months ago I had the opportunity to buy the Game of the Year edition with the expansions included and I have never made a better purchase. The Shivering Isles adds an entirely new campain and new challenges, while the Knights of Nine gives you new perspective on the gods and goddesses of Oblivion instead of concentrating on the Daedric Princes that control Oblivion.
Modern Warfare is awesome as well and even if you dont play the multiplayer, the campain in both games still has me hooked and i still go through the campains of both games over and over again. If I was you I would get both games at once because the campains will have you hooked and playing for a long time to come on different difficulties.

I have MW2 for Xbox and PS3. I got the one for Xbox before I got a PS3. And yes, even if you don't play on multiplayer, the campaign is fun. I play multiplayer on PS3 because it's FREE. Stupid Xbox gold. -.-
----------
I have Soul Calibur IV and it's pretty good, not sure about being in the top though. It's fun to customize the characters to make your own super character. And plus, the moves are AWESOME!

If you're a Transformers fan, then I'd definitely recommend having a look at Transformers-War For Cybertron. It was released a few days ago and had a lot of good things said about it.
The game is actually a Prequel to the whole transformers G1 story, showing Optimus became leader of the Autobots, how Megatron did what he did to Cybertron and why Starsceam joined him, etc.
Gameplay is good, graphics are good and the controls are pretty solid. Storyline for the game is pretty well written and the order you play the levels in is interesting, but I won't spoil it for you.
Give it a look, you won't be disappointed (I hope)!

I've had my xbox for 9 months, and I honestly have only 5 games for it. I actually bought 4 of them all at once, and the other one after a friend bothered me to buy it. But I recommend all of them.
They would be Red Dead Redemption, Dragon Age: Origins, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Assasins Creed 2, and Left 4 Dead.
Red Dead Redemption is a great game, it actually takes place where I live, only awhile back. Haha. The storyline is AWESOME and took awhile to finish it, though the achievements are a pain in the neck to get. I spent hours just riding around on my horse because I was uber excited about it. XD The gameplay takes awhile, and the mission aren't too hard. There's a TON of extra content like minigames, side quests, and even hunting. 8D There was only a couple of mission I had to redo, and it was because I was doing something wrong and I felt like a dumbbutt afterwards. TBH, I think rockstar was better suited for the wild west, than for games like GTA. The graphics rocked, and all the little details blew my mind. 8D
Dragon Age: Origins, (I also have the EP for this, don't start out on the EP though) this game is also awesome, if you're into RPG's. BioWare put a LOT of work into the game, I love how the actions you use in game effect everything! The only complaint I have is just the amount of repetetiveness. Get a quest: kill tons of stuff, get item for quest. Get new quest! Kill bunch of stuff, finish quest. Etc. But the different parts of it were just amazing, you can pick an "origin" like dwarf, elf, or human. and different factions of those too. And you start at a different place for whatever you choose. Like, noble dward, common dwarf, etc. I really liked this game but I had to take a break in the middle because it just got so long! I have close to 70 hours of sheer game play on it, mainly quests. And the ending is so awesome. u_u
Call of Duty: Modern Warefare 2, I've never played CoD before and this game made me love FPS games. 8D The storyline was awesome, the missions weren't easy but they weren't horrible, especially on veteran. u_u. Again, I can't stress how AWESOME the storyline was! I got so mad... about ghost! No spoilers though! xD Multiplayer also rocks, if you're a female don't be afraid to go on mic. It's fun to be mean to guys, if they harass you just be a b**** back to them. ;) Once you find a party to play with though, it gets REALLY fun. And it also has spec-ops which you can do singleplayer, with a friend on a second controller, or online. Some of those missions are hard though! Dx
Assassins Creed 2: Amazing Graphics, though I was kinda lost since I skipped the first one. The controls were kinda hard to get used to after played CoD so much though. But the storyline is amazing, and I love how you can continue playing after you finish it. Some games don't let you do that. /coughdragonagecough/ Basically, you're a guy who's going against an evil agency, and you're able to go back to the past and become someone in it (with some kind of technology) so you become an assassin, and go through his life so you can "learn" all of his cool tricks to use as your original person. Which sounds weird/crazy but the game is awesome! It's in the 1400s in venice and the graphics are just.. You actually feel like you're there.
Left 4 Dead: 3 words: kick zombie ass.
Sorry if this was too long or anything. 8D but all these games are so great u_u and I love that I haven't had to actually buy any more games to keep me entertained. hehe.

Wow, so I've update my library a little bit, took all of your suggestions and bought Eternal Sonata....it was very pretty but otherwise I got bored with it and made my brother play with me XD Bosses were easy and some of the dungeons were like really really boring. I liked the characters for the most part. Storyline was odd, ending ever more weird but meh..... the attacks were cool?
I've been thinking of picking up Lost Odyssey, its like ten bucks XD I told myself I would once I finsihed Star Ocean.....
I also got Gears of War, Assassin's Creed (I'm starting out with the first ones and making my way up...) Bioshock, Star Ocean (which I like 'kay?) Fable II (OMG I want to play three, but I'll finish this one first. I've been fooling around and doing quests and dancing for people, so I should just finish the storyline ....also I'm fat again XD)) Lost Planet, and umm my brother got a few I played but I can't recall them now.

If you havent gotten Infinite undiscovery, or tried it yet, I do highly recommend it. For a RPG, its high up there in the storyline, and gameplay value. Also, the dungeon that you unlock after beating it is a pain to try and beat. Im not even sure what level I am...but Im getting my butt kicked on almost all the floors except the first 2. Also, Tales of Vesperia is a good game. Great graphics(like all Tales games always do), great story line. And over-all, a good reason to re-play it.
For tactical shooters, I recommend both the Rainbow Six Vegas games. Call of Duty Black Ops has a decent story, but crappy multiplayer, same with CoD: World at War. Though, they are both good for the Zombie mode that you get. Very fun when you have 3 friends playing alongside you. Especially in Black Ops, since you can run then dive.
There are more games I have, but I currently cant find them...and its late.

I have to agree with a lot of other people on here and say FFXIII, even though it's not the best Final Fantasy game in the series (and it probably looks way better on PS3), and Tales of Vesperia too. It seems like as time goes by less and less good RPGs get made, so these ones were nice experiences. They're both very pretty to look at, too!
