Has anyone seen this movie?
Its about a little girl who was just truly a bad person and its all about how she goes about getting whatever she wants no matter how she has to get it and who it hurts.

There are two versions, one in black and white which I'm not totally sure of what year it was made in and then the 1985 version.
The beginning of the 1985 version was hillarious actually... on old lady feeding a kitty on a balcony and you just hear the old lady saying "good kitty" and then youhear the old lady scream and the cat look up with a dramatic traumatized face going rowwwllll!! then you get a freeze frame and it plays this melancholy music. It was just the funniest thing ever... so cheesy that's why I thought it was funny. poor cat, it will never be the same...

OOH! I saw this is psychology class when I was in high school! We were studying personality disorders and my teacher showed it to us because she thought it was a very accurate portrayal of... whatever it was we were studying, I think it might have been something along the lines of antisocial personality disorder, it fits the wiki description.

The 1956 version is the one in black and white and I prefer it just a bit to the book, yes, it was based on a book because the little girl, Rhoda, got her just deserts.

I don't really like the 1985 version that much. Too much cheese.

I remember we studied the inspiration for it in class, this little girl who killed another preschooler because she wouldn't play with him. Youngest murderer in the world I think. Her psychological report was like "She may have been born without a soul."

I honestly believe there are people who are born without a conscious. Mental disorders are so prevailent in our society today and people really don't realize just how much of a social problem it really is. My partner is Bi-polar/PTSD and an alcoholic so pyschological thrillers really fascinate me even more.

It was cheesy the 85 version but I loved the beginning as it was overdramatic.

redrabbit@ ~ I sometimes wonder if they even have a soul myself.
