Welcome to the Brighten School cruise!
After each year Brighten college in New York holds a cruise for their students, even those that graduated that year. At the beginning of the year, you have already paid for this trip in your admission’s fee. (only if you checked off that you wanted to go) So now the time has come to pack up your things and head on board. We will be sailing to England and then all the way down to Greece and then back to New York for the summer!


Enjoy your summer on a cruise ship with just your fellow students and no one else.
The sea is yours. Have fun!

Born to a mother and father, my life was not that amazing. Childhood was childhood, stories of daring heroes, beautiful princesses and princes, danger and romance, what else would you want for your childhood. As long as I could remember, fairy tales were the one thing that I truly loved and cared for. My young life was like all the rest, with the added of my mother being somewhat of a slut. My father died when I was young, I do not remember him, but ever since then I can remember so many of my mother's different boyfriends. A couple stood out, for how they would look at me when I grew up a little more, started to round up and what not. One in particular actually forced himself on me one night, luckily a very old friend of mine was in the bathroom, he heard and came out to help me.
Oddly enough a few weeks later that very close friend of mine moved, and I never heard from him again, which made me very sad, for he was my very first crush. Anyway, high school came and I started to do what I wanted to, died my hair black, pink, and blue, and soon receiving the name PenMint, which has stuck ever since. I became oh so very interested in Film, doing what I could with what I had to make my dreams come true. Fairy tales still always on my mind, help me to come up with ideas. And soon college was here, majoring in Film and Tv, my freshman year went pretty well. Now this cruise is here and I cannot wait to go to Europe, it has been a dream of mine, maybe just maybe meet someone that may turn into my Prince Charming.

I am a childish girl, still believing in Peter Pan, dreams fairy tale and what not. I am shy, but sweet, it takes a bit to get me to open up to anyone, but please do try. I blush a lot, please do understand that, because of my shyness, it just happens. Once I do know you, and you know me, I can be very trustworthy, loyal, caring, protective, and a good shoulder to cry on. I kind of sound part dog, oh well, I am me. If you do not like it, tough fluff.

I love fair tales, romantic things, danger, films/filming, dreams, candy [mostly mint], and trying new things.
However I do not like thunder and lightning, I just never have, when it happenes, I run for cover and hide until its over. I also am not fully comfortable around men, just because of what happened when I was younger, even though I wish to find my Prince Charming.
I carry always with me my bag that has my fairy tale book, some film things, my phone and my camera.

Money, huge house, nice car. Juliet had it all, her mom being an award winning surgeon and her father a rather popular politician. They gave Juliet everything she ever wanted, except the parenting and attention from that she really needed. They wanted to her to be a doctor, or a lawyer, or a politician. She had to be perfect, and when she told them her dreams were of dancing, they immediately disapproved. Instantly rebelling, Juliet joined a dance crew, quickly rising to the leader of the crew. Eventually things ended, and Juliet took the last step and broke away from her perfect life, choosing to attend Brighten College to major in dance and minor in acting. Her parents disowned her, giving her a good sum of money so they wouldn’t feel so guilty, and disconnected her from their lives. Though she took it hard, Juliet easily adjusted to her new life and hasn’t regretted a single decision.

Juliet is stubborn, determined, and independent. She’s worked hard to provide for herself, not letting her dreams fade away. She’s quirky and daring, never backing down from a dare. She’s a loud mouth but can be quite sensitive, and rarely lets people in. She’s very open minded, but stands up for her beliefs no matter what.

Juliet loves theater and dance, the color purple, and the beach. She can be a bit nerdy, her favorite books and films being the Harry Potter series. She absolutely adores thunder storms, and is a sucker for stuffed animals and gummy candy. The college freshman hates being told to what to do, being talked to like she’s a child, and someone who will try to win her over with gifts and money. Juliet has a phobia of clowns and a slight fear of spiders. She always has to have an escape route, and when she doesn’t she gets a bit unnerved.

How I came to be you ask? Well one day my mom and dad decided...oh, you don't want to hear that. Then I'll tell you why I went to Brighton College. All my life, I had wanted to become a famous guitarist. Since that wasn't working out, why not become a storm chaser. I always loved watching the lightning from a storm and I was fascinated with tornadoes. This college isn't the best for that career path, but who wouldn't want to come on the annual cruise at the end of every year. It's a chance for the students (who signed up for it) to mingle with people of other cultures and go sight-seeing. I find it pretty awesome.*Since I came from a rather poor family, I had to earn my way into college. With the amount of scholarships I earned, I don't have to pay a penny...except for the cruise of course. I got a job to pay for it and a few other things (food mainly). *

Some say I'm a comedian. Whether I am or not, I don't care. I do have my serious moments...who am I kidding. Me serious? Some say I don't talk much. Well if I don't talk much, it's probably because I don't like you or I like you quite a lot. Generally I'm not a shy person (unless I like you quite a lot), but I also don't just go up to people and start a conversation.

I enjoy music, art, and the weather. My favorite genres of movies and books are action, science fiction, and horror. I love food. All kinds of food, except green vegetables and sushi. I'm secretly afraid of the dark and heights.

Demetri was originally born in Rome, Italy, growing up with good values. Life was simple, but his mother was diagnosed with leukemia, treatments draining the family of all the money they had. Eventually the doctors stopped trying, and just let the poor woman live the rest of her short life. She died when Demetri was eleven, and things became even harder for he, his brother, and father. His brother became addicted to drugs, and while driving under the influence of multiple drugs at once, while driving, he crashed and, with his father in the car passing away as well, died. Demetri was fifteen by then, and taken in by a family he never connected with in America. As soon as he graduated he moved to New York, attending Brighten College. It was the last thing his adopting family gave him; a full paid scholarship to the rising-in-fame college.

Demetri, called Dem-Dem by his best friend Juliet, has learned to provide for himself and try not to get too close to others. He’s funny and a prankster, finding optimism in dark situations. He majors in film making, and has a friendly nature. The Italian isn’t a big flirt, and rarely dates anyone.

Demetri loves Italian food, of course, and old movies, especially horror ones. He loves crowded places, which means New York is perfect for him at the moment, and dislikes being alone for long periods of time. Demetri is majorly turned off by girls that throw themselves at him, and he’s highly against drugs. His only fear is losing someone close to him again, but he doesn’t like spiders much either.

My parents weren't exactly wealthy, but they did have money. Like most of my life, I've been given what I wanted. It was wonderful when I was younger, but as I got older, I wanted to earn things on my own. They continued to spoil me because I was their only child. I tested the limits my parents would go to make me happy. I lied about wanting snake bites or a white horse, but they still agreed to it. After a while, I just began giving my stuff away to my friends or anyone who wanted it. Luckily, I earned numerous scholarships that covered all my school expenses (which my parents thought I didn't need).

I'm more reserved than most people. I like to just chill and relax. I tend to see things differently from others and voice my opinions. I also tend to be shy around females even though I do have female friends.

Oh, what do I like? Art is a major part of my like. Nature is just the most beautiful thing out. I dislike bullies and those who think they are better than everyone else. I'm also not a big fan of spicy food.
