I keep adding buttons to my signature, but I'm not sure what the max is. So far it's three buttons (three urls, plus img tags) and one more img tag for the picture of me and my GF.

Is there a max number of characters?

I've had trouble with the max characters vs. max size vs. max number of lines in the past. Somehow the coding for images and links makes the (magical something that limits sig size) think that I have "too many lines" even though if the images would display, it'd only be one "line" (and certainly not exceeding the height limit). I fixed it by using tinyurl, but it's still really confusing to have so many different limits that collide with each other.

Maybe instead of having "too many lines" (I think the limit is 4 or 5?), the text could just be cut off like images are? I'm not sure how possible that is though.

There isn't a max of characters explicitly stated, I don't think.
BUT, you're only allowed "4 lines" of content basically.

I think you're limited to 500 characters? I'm not entirely sure.

But even still, the "four lines" limit can get messed up anyway. Say you change your font to size 1 to get more text in... it'll still cut you off before you actually reach four lines in your displayed sig.

That's true, I wish signatures were structured a little differently on menewsha.
But, that's a topic for site feedback on another day when I think it's more important. xD

Yea I think so too. I only have four teeny images >.> Maybe we can set up a suggestion thread together monstahh`, when I'm more worried about it xD
