I'm thinking about remaking a roleplay I've tried on Gaia a few times without much avail here on Mene but first I'd like to see if there would be enough interest in it on this site.

Nature's Wrath would be a literate roleplay in which the four seasons (Summer, Autumn, Winter, and Spring) are in fact humanoid and leave their homeland, the Seasonal Realm, to live on Earth. There would be roles for each of the seasons, townsfolk who will live in the same town as the seasons and interact with them, and possibly a villain. I'm really looking for some good roleplayers who can post at least one good paragraph (but preferably two or more) and who would be dedicated players who won't quit on me. I've made this RP three times now and each time it's died because one or more of the main characters have disappeared on me . Please post here to let me know if you'd be interested in playing in such an RP.

Here is the link to the last remake on Gaia for more in-depth information. I would likely tweak a few things here or there but the basic idea will remain the same:

I would be extremely interested in trying to play the personification of winter or spring. I can also do a pretty decent villain, depending on what it is you be lookin' for.

Yay! More possible players! I'm glad you're interested! I usually try to play Winter myself and Spring is usually the most popular one. A villain would be cool too if you'd want to do that but we can always figure out who's who when I decide we have enough players.

I have rather interesting interpretations of winter and spring, to be sure...as for villains, I'd have to see what everyone wanted to do with character before I could concoct one. Unless of course, someone else wanted to play one, since I always tend to have evil folks on my plate.

The last villain as you might have seen was a pollution one. I thought that it was a rather interesting idea but I'm always open to new ideas. I usually give suggestions as to their personalities but ultimately it's up the the players. Winter's usually a rather cold individual while Spring is young and reckless. I have pictures for all of the seasons, how would you feel about pre-set appearances for the seasons?

Might be more fun for folks to go and find their own appearances. Allowing people to customize their characters in all aspects tends to make them more likely to keep on with the RP.

Alright, thanks for the opinion! I might put the ones I found up as a default and if people would rather use another one they want to use then I'll switch it out. I like to put out suggestions but allow people to change if they have something else in mind. ^^; How does that sound?

Oooh I've gotten myself a bit carried away and have begun writing an opening post for Spring that details her naive/childlike delight in almost everything, her adventurous spirit, her purity of heart, and her views on the other seasons (whom she basically sees as older siblings...though at the same time I get this feeling that she's not the youngest of the seasons at all) >.<

And are some character ideas I'm just throwing out because I believe they'd work well together as well as make sense as far as personifying the seasons go: (so feel free to disregard them entirely):

Spring: Sweet, naive, fun-loving/just plain loving, Spring sees herself as the younger sister in regard to other seaons, despite not being the youngest age-wise. She is pure of heart and gentle of spirit.

Winter: I see Winter as being slightly younger than her age wise, but at the same time acts much older/wiser and is viewed by Spring as an older brother. I imagine her being quite attached to him (again this is a liberty but I see Winter as a he for some reason), much to his eternal dismay/annoyance with him having some sort of begrudging (brotherly) affection toward her. I also see this character being distant and coming off as a tad melancholy as a result of this.

Autumn/Fall: I imagine that fall is a free spirit, an artistic/passionate soul who alternates between fair and melancholy and who, at the same time, is the most practical and down to earth of the four.

Summer: I see summer as a girl, almost as an older mirror to Spring in a way. Not quite as naive, but definitely as passionate and fun-loving, with more of a bold wildness than a sweetness (as Spring displays).

There's actually an explanation for their ages, I'm trying to find it... I'd try not to get too far ahead as it isn't even guaranteed that I'll make the tread until we get more people and because I'll likely be making some changes if I bring it over to Mene. I didn't really want to start reserving characters until I was certain we had enough people but I guess if everyone wants to send me a PM with their preference and a roleplay sample I'll start to think about it.

Also, if everyone wants to try to get this RP off the ground faster, try to see if you can recruit some friends as we'll need some more people to flesh out the population of the town. It might sound boring to be a townsperson but you can really be whatever you want: a suspicious neighbor, classmate, crazy cat lady, shop owner of any kind, burly fireman, pair of mischievous twins, it's up to you!

@ Ascadellia: I'm glad you're interested and thank you for offering to be a townsperson as we'll need some of those as well. I'm in the process of figuring out from those who've already posted what roles they're most interested in and I'll let you know if there are any season spots when everyone gets back to me.

Just to let everyone in on what I've been doing, here's what's going on:

* I've asked those who posted on the first page their preferences for roles and am waiting to get the final response back before making any decisions.
* I've just about finished redoing the code and tweaking a few things to bring the roleplay over to Mene. The final thing I need to decide on is the setting. Does anyone have any good town name ideas?
* I'm quite certain I'll be remaking the roleplay here but I'm going to be busy for the next two weeks so I'm going to hold off making the thread until then so please bear with me and use that time to try to recruit! I'll still be on Mene around once per day, I just won't have time to manage the roleplay yet. Please keep track of this thread for any further updates I might have for you!

This sounds quite fun! The seasons seem all taken, but I have no problem in being something like a farmer or innkeeper. :3

Just to warn you, though, I have a bad habit of run-on sentences at times. Comes from reading older works in which they appear a lot. Or public school. Whichever. XD

Alright, thanks! Just keep in mind it is a modern roleplay (the roles you mentioned could be either medieval or modern). I'm just making sure you know. ^^; Run-on sentences can be done correctly with the right punctuation so I'll have to judge based on a roleplay sample.

I know, but where I live there are a lot of historic sites including quite a few old inns that are still in function. There are also a lot of farmers, and my father's side of the family consists of mostly farmers. And I'll send a sample as soon as my muse strikes up again. My brain juices are drained from little-to-no sleep over the past couple of days due to studying.
