The sun started to set,leaving an array of pinks,reds,oranges,and purples painting the sky as the evening started to set in.A teenage girl sat on the kill side leading down to the river,her blue hair swaying a bit over her face as she wiped away a bit of dried blood from the corner of her mouth.Another day at school,another fight after classes let out for the day.She sighed a bit as she looked up at the sky now,her ruby red eyes lost in thought as she watched a small flock of birds fly over by.Her name is Buu Saturo,and only child in a small family that consisted of herself,her father,and her grandfather.It was at the beginning of the school year and she was only a junior in high school.She knew she wasn't going to make any friends at this school,just like the last few she had to leave,but it was because of the fact the students at each school picked on her because of her unusual looks..She was use to getting beat up by the girls of the school because of her looks,she knew they were jealous just for the fact she had unnatural beauty on her side,it wasn't her fault she was born beautiful.She soon got to her feet and headed down the street before anyone else wanted to pick a fight with her."I guess it's a good thing,Grandpa bought some more bleach yesterday."She sighed seeing the blood stains on her white school uniform shirt.Why couldn't the uniforms at least be a dark color or something that didn't show blood that easily.She shook her head a bit as she slung her school bag over her shoulder after dusting herself off a bit as she walked home.She couldn't understand why her father and grandfather insisted that she'd go to a normal school instead of being home schooled.She just didn't like the fact she couldn't make any friends justy because of the fact she was different.She could remember her father says that it wasn't healthy for a child to grow up not knowing the outside world and being cooped up inside.She shook her head at the thought."It would of been a hell of a lot safer if I was home schooled instead of waiting to find out which kids don't like you for what you are."She stopped infront of a corner store her grandfather was bragging about."Huh...I remember that store name.I wonder if it's really all that like grandpa said it was."She mumbled to herself."I might check it out tomorrow before school."She then turned and kept walking down the street heading home now.

Shizu scanned the streets idly, her gold and black gi whipping in the breeze. She fingered the handle to her zanpakuto agitatedly, unaware that she was doing so. As of right now, she was on watch for Hollows, which was one of the worst jobs she could get. They usually stuck her with such an easy job because she was the Soul King's daughter, but still. Her spiritual pressure was more than twice what some of those fools' were.

Sighing, she jumped down from atop the telephone pole, her lavender colored hair flying up from her heart-shaped face, and landed nimbly among the humans who had no idea she was there. She was a lot smaller than the humans though, standing at only three feet, while the average human her age stood at twice that. She also only weighed thirty pounds, adding to incredibly tiny frame. Suddenly, she felt a spark of reiatsu from nearby, turning in response to investigate whether it was a threat. Her violet eyes picked out a young girl dressed in school clothes walking down the sidewalk. Strangely, there was blood on her clothes. Without a moment's hesitation, Shizu followed. Hearing her story would certainly be better than patrol.

Buu stopped for a moment as a chill ran down her back,glancing around she spotted a ghostly figure in an ally way not to far down."Another ghost..."She said with a sad sigh walking over to the spot to where a young man was pacing back and forth looking worried.She stopped and watched him for a minute,looking him over.He still had his chain in his chest."Hey,are you alright?"She asked softly.

The man stopped and looked at her,then looked around before looking back at her,pointing at himself."M-m-me...?"He asked a bit surprised when Buu nodded."W-w-well...I've been k-k-kinda stuck here for some time n-n-now and I'm worried about my d-d-daughter...."He said fiddiling with his hands now.

"I'm sorry to hear that,sir.Maybe I could offer some help.."Buu offered with a soft smile and nodding a bit."Whats her name so I can go find her and see how she is doing for you."

"R-r-really..?"The man asked as a smile formed on his face now."T-t-t-thank you,thank you v-v-very much.Her name is Ina.Please...If y-y-you would..Tell her her father loves her and that he misses her.Ohhh...My name is Suki Tashima."He went to offer her his hand,but stopped."Oh..S-s-s-sorry..."

Buu chuckled and nodded."I will Mister Tashima."She said with a bow to him,he wasn't the first ghost she had helped get peace in their after life.This was one good thing in her life,being able to help ghosts without being judged for what she looked like and it made her feel like a real person instead of an outsider.

Shizu stared in astonishment as the girl talked to the ghost. Obviously, she had a high awareness of spiritual pressure, if not a high spiritual pressure of her own. As the girl walked away, Shizu walked up to the Pulse. "Hello. I'm Shizuko Ryu Tokugawa. I'm here to send you to the afterlife," she announced, pulling out her zanpakuto. "Don't worry. It won't hurt." She tapped him on the head with the bottom of her sword before sheathing it and chasing after the girl.

Maybe she can see me? Shizu thought as she ran behind her, having to walk faster to keep up with her longer, much longer, stride. Certainly this was proving to be a much more interesting night than Shizu had imagined, even despite the wetness she felt in her Pull-up. Stupid incontinence! she thought angrily. It's just awful!

Suki smiled and waved at Buu as she headed off home."S-s-s-such a nice angel."He said happily sighing feeling a huge burden off of his shoulders now.He turned to face Shizu as she spoke to him."Huh?Wait!N-n-n-no...I need to wait and see w-w-w-what my daughter has to say f-f-f-firs...."He cried before being cut off as he drifted off to the spirit world.

Buu had a smile on her face as she walked away,at least now she had something to look forward to now.She stared up at the sky now as the last rays of sunlight started to fade away,the sky was clear tonight and she could see the moon a quarter way into the now night sky.It was quiet tonight,even the crickets were silent,and Buu felt an erie presence not to far ahead of her that stopped her dead in her tracks."Whoa...I've never felt anything like that before.."She said with a shutter,but her curiosity started to get the better of her and she ran off in the direction she felt it in coming from.

Once she got to the general area she stopped and looked around."I know I sensed it around here somewhere,but what is it?"She walked around a block before stopping as a bone chilling roar cut the silent.Buu's eyes widen as she looked up and saw a white bone masked creature crouching a bit on top of a roof of a house she faced.It stared at her hungerly as it roared again,flinging open two pairs of bat like wings,and took flight above her."W-w-what is that thing?!"She cried before turning and running away as it dove at her,claws on all four of it's feet faced at her,possed to grab at her.

"Oh come on!" Shizu whined as she felt the wave of eerie spiritual pressure wash over her. So preoccupied was she that she almost failed to notice that the girl had sensed it too, and gone off to see what it was. Shizu noticed the girl's absence eventually, but she was still worried something had happened. Speeding up, she hurried to catch up with the girl.

Shizu arrived just as the Hollow was beginning its attack. With no time to use her zanpakuto, she shouted, "Hado One! Sho!" Having aimed at the girl, she was pushed far enough away for her to be safe, while also giving Shizu enough time to draw out her weapon. With a rasp, the blade slid from its sheath, glistening in the fading sunlight as she jumped at the Hollow. The blade slid through him as easily as a hot knife through butter, splattering only a little blood before he vanished into nothingness. Panting slightly, Shizu remained where she was, curious as to whether the girl had seen her or not.

Buu fell forward as an unknown forced pushed her away,landing on the ground hard."ow..."She hissed as she turned over to see what had become of the creature.She gasped as she saw Shizu eliminate the creature with one swip of her blade."Whoa..."She pushed herself up a bit,staring at the soul reaper now.

"W-w-who are you?"She asked getting up to her feet now taking a step closer to Shizu now,looking the young woman over now."I've never seen anyone dressed up like you,unless it's a festival."

"Huh?" Shizu asked, looking over at the girl. "I'm a shinigami. My name is Shizu. Would you mind telling me yours?" Shizu was smiling now. Finally, the night was getting interesting. Shizu couldn't help thinking about how the other girl thought of her. She was only three feet tall and only weighed twenty-five pounds. Surely the other girl would have thought her to be a lost child or something.

"I'm quite impressed actually," Shizu complimented, sheathing her zanpakuto. "First off, you could see spirits, like that man. Then I find that you can sense reiatsu, which is how you found the Hollow. I'm sorry. Am I going a bit fast?"

"A..Shinigami?"Buu said in disbelief,shaking her head."Whoa,I only thought you were from myths and legends."She looked over to where Shizu had vanquished the hollow at."A hollow?So thats what that thing was,huh?"She said looking back at the pint size shinigami now.A small sweatdrop formed on the side of her face now,nodding a bit."It is a bit to take in at once."She sighed holding her head a bit now,going over everything she was told.

"What exactly is going on and what are you talking about,reiatsu,hollows,and being able to see spirits?I thought I just had a special gift,like a psychic or something."She nodded,leaning against a stone wall now,trying to put everything together now.

"Well, yes and no," Shizu replied sitting down on a window ledge nearby. "While it is true that very few people can see me in the World of the Living, it's not impossible. Most people would assume you were talking to yourself. Really what you have is a high spiritual awareness, though I can't tell if you have a high spiritual pressure or not. Do you have anywhere we can go where people won't think you're nuts?" She stood as she asked the last question, walking over to examine the girl a bit more thoroughly. "I can explain everything to you there if you would like."

"i see."Buu said closing her eyes as she put everything together,even tho there were gaps that needed to be filled in.She opened her eyes and nodded."yes,by the cemetery.No one goes there at night."She nodded with a small smile."It's a miles walk from here,but there's a lot of space where no one would notice us...or me exactly."She chuckled a bit after a thought.
