If you could have one super power in the whole world what would it be and why? What would be the top three powers you would like to have, why, and how would you use them? I am doing this for a school assignment. I am to ask 200 random people what power they want. Hopefully I get all 200! I thought Mene would be a great place to aske random people so please let me know! Thank you! ;D

I could take the cheap way out and say money, after all, that's Batman's "power" ;)

If you wanna talk actual abilities, then probably flight or something ridiculous like shooting flames from my hands.

Or summoning a horde of undead. Yeah, I'll take that!

1. The ability to fly, because I think it would be fun.

2. The ability to turn invisible, so I can have some alone time for a while without being disturbed.

3. Super speed, because I'm a huge procrastinator, and this would let me procrastinate that much longer. Would probably use it the most for school.

I would actually want a power suit, like IronMan. That way I could 1: Fly to work, 2: Not get harrased by anyone, and 3: Blow stuff up.

My first choice is somewhat of a dark power, no pun intended.
I'd like the ability to control shadows. I could meld into shadow and reappear any where the shadow is touching.
Or make your own shadow attack you.

Second would be an armoured power suit of sorts like Samus or Ironman.

Third would be psychic powers, similar to the force.

I would use any of them to become a mercenary. Working for the highest bidder to do various tasks, unless of course, they were morally wrong to me.

For me the number one power that I would want is to control time because if you control time then you control anything. You can go into the future, go can redo any huge mistakes, you can prevent something, ou can make something happen, you can make something go the way YOU want. All sorts of stuff

I would choose Invisibility as my second power because if you are invisibe then you can do A LOT of fun stuff and sneak around XP

As a third power I would choose flight because I can fly around and do something I have been wishing I could do since I was four (Fly in little circles or loops XD) Plus I could fly up and away from my problems. It would be so cool if I could just fly up and rest on clouds. It would be a tie between flying and controling water for me. If you control water you can make any school day a snow day. And you can be a kickass battle opponent. I got the last super power ability idea from 'avatar the last air bender' . XD

So long as your time traveling isn't like in The Time Traveler's Wife. That'd be a HUGE pain.

Dude, what about creating golems? :ninja: *would totally be a super villain*

Time travel would be cool, but it's also very messy and complicated.
A lot can go wrong.

I'd dig controlling and creating fire. One: it's sexy. Two: it's cool. Three: Nature-related powers WIN. Female human torch, hells yeah.

Also controlling shadows, that would be sweet, since they're everywhere, that would be a kickass power to have.

And maybe, I don't know, reading minds and stuff. But not like Bruce in Bruce Allmighty, where he goes nuts because he can't shut them off or stop them; I'd like to read minds the way I wanted to, as in, block them if I want, read a specific person's mind, etc..

@ Arkkath: I know. Time control I think is one of the most dangerous powers to have. If I had it hopefull I would get the hang of it. :P

For the one, if I could only have one, I would like to be able to either fly or control time.
My main reason for either of them would be able to go anywhere in the world when I wanted. Flying would be a potentially fun and easy way to get where I want to go. If I could control time I could stop it, walk where I want to go, then start it back up. It would seem like I teleported. The only way I'd want the time power would be if I could control my aging. It would suck to age faster than everyone else because of it.
Hehe, after typing that all out, teleporting would be the one power I'd want above all else. (x

For my top three it would be:
1. Teleportation for the reasons stated above. Easy transport to wherever I wish to be (and talk about a time saver) would be great.
2. Invisibility. I really would love to disappear every once in a while, literally. It wouldn't be too much use to me without being able to erase my heat signature though, so if it could include that, great; if not... I'd probably still want it. It would be good to use with teleportation as well. It would help with keeping my teleportation power a secret.
3. Immortality (the power to never die counts, right?). I know that everyone I love would die around me while I stay young and essentially not touched by time (this is the type of immorality I'm talking about, not the one where I age but never die -shudder-), but I do believe I could move on and enjoy watching the world grow while learning. Learning is the main reason I'd want this. I'd have all the time in the world to do so, and many other things, literally.

Now, if I couldn't have any of those three for any reason, I'd want to be able to control time provided I don't age quicker because of it.

I think mine would have to be firstly the ability to shape-shift into different animals so I could experience what it would be like to be that particular animal and so I could just generally feel a bit more free.

Second would have to be telekinesis, I think I'd just find that quite handy.

Then, third would be mind reading that I would be able to switch on and off. Generally because I find people really intriguing and would like to see what would be going through their minds. c:

I I could have any power in the world, I would choose the ability to heal. I can't stand watching anyone else get sick and die, and be helpless to do anything.

Top 3 powers:
1) Healing
2) Ability to create things by thought and touch. I would help rebuild the fallen buildings in Japan from the earthquake. I would build statues and castles. I would build animal and homeless shelters.
3) Teleportation. To save on gas money. lol.

Top three? Oh my.
1. Flying
No traffic, no gas, no pollution (unless I litter or fart?), and I can drink and fly? Probably not, I'd fly into an air plane or a tall building. xD
2. Transformation (to anything; turtle, toaster, three-headed turtle toaster, ect.)
I can be whatever I want! I can hide as a control, I can keep you warm as a blanket, I can be cute like a puppy, and yadda yadda.
3. Oh boy. Hmm....I don't know. :l I'm living a pretty good life with flying and turning into whatever I want.
I hope only having two powers is fine. :P

My first choice would to breath underwater. Second choice, talking to animals. Thirdly, telekinesis. I love swimming and being in and around water. It would be nice to not have to come up for air and just swim underwater exploring. The talking to animals thing would be because I always wonder what my pets are thinking. Telekinesis just because that would just be awesome. Teleportation would be another awesome power to have as well though.
