Teiala looked up at the castle-like building with awe, admiring each intricate design and each decorated column. It was clearly old, as amongst the delicate carvings of leaves and flowers and angels were dents, from the years it had withstood the elements. It was breathtakingly gorgeous.
This was the academy she, her older brother Len, and her best friend and roommate Alexise had been invited to join. It was the first day of school, and the three were just about the first people there. She didn't know why Len had insisted they come so early, but she didn't really mind- it was very pretty, after all.
She adjusted her dark-purple baseball cap so it would cover more of her equally purple hair. She quickly looked down, to make sure her tank-top lay just right over her slender frame, and to ensure her shorts covered enough to be decent but not too much that she looked like a kid. Perfect, she thought. And with that, she clasped her hands behind her back and ascended the steps to what would be her new school, older brother and best friend following behind.
