Ever since I was about 7 years old I have been playing video games. I started with Pokemon Red and Blue on a green GameBoy pocket. I remember it like it was yesterday! Now over the years there have been HUGE changes in the gaming world. What I want to know is, what is YOUR favorite system that has ever come out, and why.
For me, it'd have to be any old Nintendo system. Examples being: Super Nintendo, N64, GameBoy pocket, etc. I like them (more now than back then) because they're retro gaming systems, kinda. Theyre not too complex but they're not too simple, to me, they're perfect.

For me, it's the PS2. Even now that it's obsolete, I haven't purchased a PS3. The PS2 made revolutionary leaps in RPGs and adventure games, my favorite genres, and to this day set the bar for epic (60+ hours for non-100% completion) quests. Suidoken V, Dragon Quest VIII and Final Fantasy X were such good games that they'll never be forgotten and they have wonderful replay value.

Yeah I used to own one, I had a couple games, but I always liked Nintendo/Microsoft better. Surprisingly, I even liked the GameCube better because they had a really awesome game for it called Veautiful Joe.

I'm gonna move this over to the Computers and Gaming forum. :)
Hmm... favorite system... That's a really tough one, especially since it's so reliant on the games. Like you, I'm a Nintendo fan, but there are plenty of fun Playstation games. I will always love my SNES, I have a bunch of great games for my N64, some gems for the Gamecube, and while my Wii library is quite small still (3 games - games are expensive! :gonk:), I do love it dearly. And of course, for handhelds, the pokemon franchise makes each one great.
I've also got a ton of fun games for Playstation, and a few for PS2 (again - games are expensive ), and I love them quite a bit too. Though there are very few PS3 or xbox games that interest me. They're mostly targeted at a different audience. I'm not into FPSes and such.
So, I guess my answer is... I have no answer! I just love a fun game.

Ahh, the first person part of it messes me up! I lose my bearings or get shot by someone standing right behind me. Granted, I haven't tried an FPS in a very long time (in video game years, at least), so they're probably not so flawed now. But regardless, real time action like that tends to make me flip out. One reason I love so many RPGs... turn-based battles.

It all depends on what type of game really. I prefer playstation for RPS, XBox for shooters, PC for RTS, and handhelds for the RPGs that are too classic to be remade with discs.

WoW barely scratches the surface when it comes to computer gaming. :) You can get pretty much every game that's on the Xbox or Ps3 on the computer. (With the exception of a few games. But you can just torrent those lawls)
I enjoy PC gaming for multiple reasons. The main one being mouse + keyboard is harder than a controller (imo). So I get more satisfaction going 65 - 3 in Black Ops playing on the computer than on a console.
Plus, you get to alt tab out and have instant access to everything. :P Get stuck on a level, alt tab out and Google some strats. Want to listen to a podcast while you mindlessly grind levels? You can do it.
Not to mention the scrub to decent player ratios are better for computers. I've been gaming my entire life, and can honestly say I come across about 50% less idiots while gaming on the PC than on Xbox live.

That not a problem for the serious gamers that are on XBox. I have my laptop open, and connected to the internet while Im playing on my XBox. Music going all the time(just muted if I happen to be playing a RPG), and surfing the net while doing so. Plus, right this moment Im playing Medal of Honor on my XBox, and typing this message. :P

I love Nazi Zombies. But I prefer the new zombie map on Black Ops "Ascension". I love getting the "Black Hole Grenade". Its saved my friends and me a few times....only to be overrun after I run out of them. Not to mention the Sickle that you can get for 3000 points that replaces your knife. Kills zombies in 1 hit until wave 18 or so(I think...cant remember how high we got using those and SMGs and a few "super" guns).

My friends love playing it with me around. I don't even play (I suck at realtime anything). They just put the headset on me to hear my bizarre conversations with strangers and make fun of me when I start freaking out *is a wuss when it comes to zombies*
Make a bunch of friends that way.

None, there is no such thing as better as better is up to the person or persons. Saying one is better than the other invites only trouble.
That said I prefer the PS3 when it comes to modern consoles, N64 and SNES for past consoles. But defiantly not better than any other consoles.

NES or SNES.
No, seriously. The only thing I saw worth buying this "gen" has been a DS (only for remakes and Pokemon), and a Dingoo A320. I use the Dingoo more.
I've been mostly chilling on Steam, Emulation, and open source games with my macbook here, it's quite fun and inexpensive.
