So, I am curious, what is your biggest comfort food?
For me, I am a huge fan of chicken strips dipped in honey and french fries dipped in ranch dressing. Just want I want to eat after an icky day.
Also, what is the one food you just can't resist? I admit I am a huge fan of cookies (both raw and cooked) and have difficulty walking away from a nice freshly cooked still warm cookie.
Mind you, I say this and I am munching on chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. YUM!

Mmmm fooooood
Self Saucing Chocolate pudding is a hit, home made mind you, Aunt Betty's is Yuck. Right now I'm making an Alison Holst Chicken recipe. It's called crunchy chicken Casserole. Try Googling it or I can give it to you if you want it. Chips (Crisps) with traditional NZ onion soup dip.... Oh I'm hungry now! We don't have that flavour ice cream in NZ. I heard of it once (Freinds I think) I am soooo jealous. We only got cookies and cream a few years ago!
I think I'll go finish dinner.

My family makes a Great Depression era recipe that we lovingly call "Pot Pie", though it really isn't what you're thinking of! We make homemade noodles - big, fat, square things - and throw it in a large dutch oven with a picnic ham and some (very light) seasoning. The noodles, as thick as they are, soak up ALL that yummy pork flavor. The best part is that it's like goulash - it tastes even better the second day, when the flavor is at its' peak! One oven-full could feed an army. Yum!!
As for food I don't prepare at home, I LOVE dipping Red Robin fries into ranch dressing after seasoning them with the special RR seasoning salt. If you haven't tried it yet, just trust me on this one - do it!

The ice cream is like taking chocolate chip ice cream and adding raw cookie dough bits in it...TASTY stuff!

I'm with you about the cookies, Daria.
I just love me some chocolate chip cookies. Whether they're home made or store bought.
I would eat them all day if I could.
For the most part, various meats too. Not much beats a big juicy steak and potatoes (which are also very awesome and useful) or a rack of ribs. Or even a hamburger.
There's this pub near my place called Cunningham's. They have this burger. This amazing, huge burger that is so delicious. And then you get it with a side of sweet potato fries and a pint of your favourite beer.

As plain as this sounds, anthing starchy and carby is my biggest comfort food.
Whether they be saltine crackers or cookies, I can drown my sorrows in cookies in milk or crackers with Nutella.
I'm also a killer for sweets when I'm down.
Tootsie rolls and chocolate all the way.

Haha, I love them Italians who invented Nutella. Although just last week I was informed that it was pronounced Nootella and not Nuhtella. My life shattered.

:( I WASN'T AWARE OF THAT :squee:
It always made sense to call it Nuhtella cause it was made of hazelnuts. Nut-ella. HazelNUT

Nuh-tella is the most common American pronunciation :) If I remember the history right, someone mispronounced it in an old commercial and it stuck. It's definitely easier to say!

-Is from America-
Guilty! It's what I've always heard around me so I always thought that was how you pronounced it.
But just a week ago I found out that apparently everyone else knew the right pronounciation and just didn't want to correct me, haha.

Yea it's probably a regional thing. I'm from Canada and everyone I know pronounces it noo rather than nuh.

There should be a side category for junk food > x >;
If so~ My favorite junk food is hot cheetos puffs with pickle juice.
It's my crack in a bag.
My favorite real food would have to be chicken breast with white gravy smothered in lousiana hot sauce.
That's what I always get at luby's. I've never had it home made before only without the white gravy.
I love hot sauce on everything. I'm a hot sauce fiend.

I admit, I am guilty of the misspronunciation. I always called it Nut-tell ah. Honestly tho, I like almond butter better.
Ya know, I could switch between sweet and salty/spicy foods all day. YUM!
Altho, I admit...Pickles and hot cheetos...Sounds kinda like a dare. How did you come onto that combo Elluh: ?

This girl I work with made me this cookie sandwich thing out of a cookie with vanilla ice cream then hot fudge then another cookie on top of that with whipped cream, caramel drizzle, and a cherry. It was amazing! That's my new favorite thing. XD
As for comfort foods, pasta. Big fat egg noodles are great. Either that or mac and cheese. Not that junk that comes in the box but real homemade mac and cheese. My mom also makes these egg noodles that are really figgy that I just love.

Ahh, I need a curry recipe. I've always wanted to try it.
Mm, I think it's a regular type of junk food here in south Texas. Or at least in the city I live in.
I don't remember how I started eating it but it's not for the weak stomached. xD
But I've been eating it since I was little. x:

If we're talking junk food, I've got a good one.
There's this small bakery in a town about an hour from where I live.
They make these outstanding doughnuts. And there's so much sugar glaze on them, but they're so amazing.
Best doughnuts I've ever had.
