Imagine living in a world of fear where those with power control everything the light shines on. The hope that once spread as a rumor has died and no one can remember what it means to be free. Smiles have faced and children are forced into battle. Those not fit to fight become experiments.

Without hope, the world moves further into a state of darkness. Depression rolls over the land. No one will rise to fight the tyrants... that was until a hero was resurrected.

It is said that in the greatest time of need, divine figures will grace the earth with their presence. The wait has been long. People have lost faith. No one believes in a greater tomorrow.

There are but two siblings who went out on a quest to find these spiritual creatures. While on their journey, they stumbled into a rogue soldier and a man whose blindness only makes him stronger.

Though the journey will be long and hard, these select few are willing to risk all they have to bring peace to the earth. Finding the spirits is the only way to restore peace and balance. It is said that there are two pure spirits whose names reflect light and hope. It is also rumored that there are two spirits whose hearts are corrupted by darkness and despair. The only way, according to the tales of the elderly, to bring peace is to unite the spirits and beg that they restore the balance for light cannot exist without darkness and hope cannot be without despair.

The quest will be dangerous and long. Do you accept the challenge? Or will you continue to watch the world crumble before your very eyes?

The Rules

1. Apply to all Menewsha rules.
2. PG-13 rating, please.
3. Love is encouraged as are scandals and other such dramatic things.
4. A profile needs to be sent in prior to posting. Once it's accepting (you'll get a PM back, you may post if it states so), you can start posting.
5. You can play one character, unless told otherwise via PM.
6. Picture type doesn't matter -- it could be real or anime.
7. Title your profile with your character's role.
8. Literacy is crucial. Please use proper English.
9. You must post at least one decent sized paragraph. Posting more is fine, too.
10. One liners are NOT accepted under any circumstances.
11. Rules are meant to be broken, so anything I have written here is negotiable.
12. No god-modding. Ever.
13. Flaming is not allowed.
14. Purposely hurting other Mene users is just downright cruel. Don't do it.
15. Let me know when you're going to be MIA.
16. I reserve the right to drop kick you from the roleplay for NOT obeying these rules.
17. Inactive users will be warned twice. Third warning and I remove your character (unless otherwise discussed).
18. I can change these rules whenever I want!

The Setting

Modern technology has been destroyed. Guns are a rare items. Flying is impossible. Knowledge is not easy to come by. People are naive and innocent. There is no such thing as love, hope, and kindness. Magic is considered a curse and heroes don't exist. This era is similar to the Dark Ages where poverty and despair reigns over the people. Plagues and illnesses crumble the land, and a drought makes food scarce and expensive. As you can imagine, not many have the strength to fight due to the poor living conditions.

The Plot

With their mother dying due to the plague, her children, one boy and one girl, set off to find help. They know their lives are in danger, but they are sick of watching their loved ones die. With their village dwindling down in numbers, it is only a matter of time before the kids become slaves to the evil overlord whose fiery destruction is killing the planet. Along their way, the siblings hope to find warriors that will aid them in their quest to save the world and restore the peace and balance.
