Welcome, one and all, to my quest thread! After being lazy as heck for the last few days, I finally decided it was time to make one. And what better time to start than when I actually have a dream avatar to look forward to. :sarcasm:

You are in no way obligated to donate to me, [derp :drool:], but it of course would be greatly appreciated. I am hard at work posting, forcing myself to be social to make enough gold for my avatar to look godly. In the mean time, I'll be updating this, keeping track of what I need and what I already got. Update! October 4th - I've officially been a Mene member for two whole weeks! I'm so grateful to my beloved friends who warmly welcomed me with open arms and truly made me fall in love with this site and its members. Such a happy place to be!

About the Zombie
My name is Chelsey, but you can call me Nim or Nimka or Zombie or whatever on earth comes to mind (teehee) as long as it isn't mean. x.o I'm twenty years old, and I live in rural North Dakota (boring), working at a Quizno's. The only complaint I have about my job is how hard it is not to lose faith in humanity's intelligence working in the food industry, rofl. I spend most of, if not all of my time, watching TV, hanging out online, and reading manga. Food is my favorite thing of all time, OF ALL TIME. /Kanye. I also like memes. <.< Video games are pretty much the most amazing thing ever, but just because I'm usually glued to a screen of some sort, doesn't mean I don't love nature. I usually go on and on about my thread instead of me if I don't actively try to prevent that in such sections.

I also tend to make my first posts in a thread ridiculously huge from time to time. I guess my charity is the best example of that. xD

Definitely the Harem Overskirt. So I have a basic level of a complete outfit at the very least. Then probably the boots, then the gloves. Gotta have a game plan! :D

Haha I know! I miss my Gaia fortune, any time I wanted to buy a huge lot of commons, it was no problem. Oh well. Time to make a new empire! I'm always so paranoid one of the items is going to be like FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND GOLD or something ridiculous like that. But I think my list is pretty safe and simple for a first time dream avi~

Very few items at Menewsha are that kind of expensive, if any. Maybe that some of the earliest event items are there now (doubt it, but it's possible), but that would make maybe half a dozen to a dozen of items on site. Which is like, less than a hundredth of a percent of the items. xD

I am working on keeping my charity funds steady while acquiring at least one of each item on my personal accounts. However, since I had quite a long hiatus during the earlier part of this year, there is a lot to catch up on... but I would say I am not doing too bad. xD

Yeah, one of every item, though currently focusing on the rares more than the commons/shop-items. After all, commons have a stable price. xD

I like your goal! It's very ambitious. x.o I'm just going to collect as many weapons and clothing that is reminiscent of Kate Beckinsale's character on Van Helsing. Her outfits are so interesting! After I am satisfied with my collection of items, I'll move on to more casual things like t-shirts and jeans or stuff I would wear in my daily life. I like to make my avatar a little bit like myself. So I gave it hair I've always wanted! ^^

Nope, him to the role play is like the dungeon master to a D&D session. He's like the master of the forum and he plays all of the interactive townspeople and everything.. it's quite amazing. He's very creative and imaginative!

It is pretty ambitious, yes, but I would say that I am doing quite well. I have all CIs (contribution items - basically, what other sites call DIs/MCs from 08 and 09, most from 07, most from '10 too. I do miss most 11s, but that was to be expected. xD EIs (event items)... late 07-mid '10 is nearly complete, just missing a few there. Miss several early 07s, but then again, they are expensive, and again, most 11s and some 10s. NPC items... got a few, miss a slightly more.
Still, basically, well on my way, I guess. xD

Sounds like a good goal, too, though I would suggest starting with a few basics sooner, especially the fairly cheap items. Stuff like socks and basic shirts in a few colors. Doesn't cost that much and it makes playing with your avatar a lot more fun. xD

I'd say! I guess I don't even know where I'd find half of those. o.o I've already bought five hundred mennies but I don't really like the CI's they have out so I'll save it til next month perhaps. With the items I've seen so far I'm sure I'll like some eventually. XD I'm not too picky so it's all good.

Yeah, I was actually really glad to see they have so many options for casual items, an entire store devoted to them is perfect for me! I'm a very casual dresser in real life, things like video game T-shirts or ones referencing my favorite TV shows.. I have a bunch of Batman T-shirts because he's my favorite super hero (because he doesn't have super powers, he's just really, really, really rich and has the coolest butler to ever live LOL). If they had mini-comics on Mene or something I'm pretty sure I'd buy T-shirts for them in the shops, rofl. :P

It is a lot of fun. c: I play a conscious zombie that comes to Grargoth because her world is in an apocalyptic state. Zombies aren't common in fantasy roleplays as much as elves or trolls haha, but I think I'll be a good addition.

I wish they had all-white eyes on this game! ~Sigh

It does help that I have been around - mostly - since early 08, of course. The exchange forum and/or marketplace would be your best bet at finding them. xD

I would say more than one store. Both Studio 54 and Hot Gossip could easily be considered casual wear, and not too expensive either.

Yeah, zombies are more common in apocalypse/horror RPs. xD
While they don't have all-white eyes, there is this button "show/hide eyes", which might give a nice effect too. =)

The exchange forums and the marketplace always seem so intimidating lol. I just fear I'll come across as a novice, but then again it's not like I'm trying to impress anyone with my marketing skills. I'm a hard-ass when it comes to haggling though so that should be interesting... But I do love the rush of finding an item I'm looking for!

I've gone through pretty much all of the stores already, quickly browsing through the items they have to offer. That shopping cart function is so helpful! I just wish I could get the Katar on the dream avatar creator.. I can't find it no matter what I look up. D:

I never really go to horror RPs I guess. I don't like horror movies for the gore and I tend not to like horror RPs for the violence. XD I'm more of a fantasy RP lover, or school/super power roleplays.. whichever.

Mene exchange isn't quite as bad as Gaia's can be. Of course, most people still prefer to buy low and sell high, but even that is hardly to the degree of some of the stuff you'd find at Gaia.

Yes, the shopping cart is pretty helpful. Hm, the Katar. Don't know tags that bring that one up from the top of my head, but if I remember any, I'll let you know.

I find it reassuring this isn't so much like Gaia as I thought it would be. The people on there are so hard to tolerate sometimes, and I swear half of the population alone are just trolls. Scene girls, camwhores... It was just too much for me to handle any more. And making friends is so hard there unless you have tons of items already, and I don't like showing them all off because then most of the people who talk to you will just end up begging for donations later (I can't stand that, it's an instant delete from my friends list, usually, if someone is downright begging me for something, it's just pathetic).

I've searched everything from blade to sword to Katar itself about a dozen times lol, it just never comes up. It's just Beta though so I'm sure there's bound to be a couple flaws, and I found one! Yay me! I think I should tell them about that. <.<"

You would probably be best off suggesting a few tags in that 'TAGS. MORE TAGS'-thread (or whatever it's called xD) in the DAC-forum.

Which is an AWESOME rule to have. I love how kind of strict they are. xD It gets rid of most of the jerks.
