Story;
Atlantis

A once lost island in the Atlantic Ocean, it still thrives. Some parts of the city enclosed under a bubble dome to lock in air for the mortals and other land beings that venture down below. It was once said that after the island had sunk, Poseidon and his wife, Amphitrite, and son Triton, had come to live in fallen city, reviving those they could and changing them into what we now know of as mermaids. As the years wore on the sea God, he tasked one family to keep watch over him and his family as they slowly changed to living stone, sleeping till such a time came when his people would need him again. This family became known as the royal family, disciples of Poseidon, and imbued with special gifts. It took many years, but slowly the original family drifted apart and set about making their own kingdoms.
The descendants of that one family who still lived in Atlantis are beloved by all their subjects, and with great happiness of the city, they are celebrating the 13th birthday of the youngest child of the royal family, the only princess. Of all the city though, only a few select locations were very busy, and of these places, one small tavern and inn that was a special favorite of the royal family was busy as it still continued its regular business as well as preparations for the birthday party.

Walking along the beach coastline, you listen to the soothing sound of the waves, hoping to fall asleep again when you spot someone, or something, enter the local "haunted" cave. You're curious, especially becuase of the flashing light you see inside, and you follow. Standing outside the entrance, the caves internal darkness seems to swallow all other light, except for the one bouncing orb you see overhead. Cautiously you walk inside to follow it, only to pause at the sound of music, which makes you more curious and you proceed again. It seems to stretch on forever, but you've only walked for maybe 5 minutes, when you finally see the bouncing orb, which you find isn't really an orb at all. The glowing mass is in fact a small Fae, now flitting around you in circles, shiny "dust" falling over you, befores she backs away and her light reveals a door that slowly creaks open.

You peak inside, noticing the many tables and chairs filled with people, an area filled with people just dancing near a low-set stage on the right where a group of people were playing music of some kind, to the left is a display case featuring pastries and desserts of all kind next to a bar counter with one register, laughter rising from the full bar as people sat and talked and ate. Back near the opposite entrance is a set of spiral stairs, and out the window you see a strange city filled with people, no, not people, but aquatic beings, swimming while in clear tube like arches you see normal, possibly human, beings. The interior of the cafe is set with low orange glow, and a young woman with silver hair and ruby eyes smiles at you. "Welcome to The Rabbit Hole. I hope you enjoy it here."

Gifts/Powers: She can switch from human to harpy form at anytime. She can control the element fire and she can summon energy to attack someone with or protect herself, like a force field controlled by her mind. She is also super strong and fast.
Weaknesses: If you manage to trap her wings somehow she will become weaker and weaker, becoming as slow and strong as a human. She can't control fire if she's to cold. If you manage to disorient her she can't summon up her energy force fields to protect herself or attack you with.
Bio: For centuries Alice has been roaming the world looking for somewhere to belong. After getting kicked out of her clan for murdering a upper being she grew lonely. When she found the Inn and Tavern it screamed home to her, so she became a bartender and has been ever since.
Appearance: Her eyes are a vibrant green. In her harpy form black leathery wings shoot out of her back just under her shoulder blades, through hidden slits. Her pupils bleed out until both eyes are completely black and her finger nails lengthen and are extremely sharp. Her hair also turns fiery red.

Personality: Dash is charming and cute. She's a quick thinker and a fast learner. You can't help but fall in love when you look into her huge golden eyes and see her little grin. But like any young teenager she can be pouty and intolerable at times. But she is very mature for her age, having to grow up fast.
Gifts/Powers: Can shift into the form of a cheetah. Has the ability to phase (can walk through anything). She also has the ability of weather manipulation.
Weaknesses: If she's tired she can't phase. Her emotions tend to mess with her ability to manipulate the weather. The stronger the emotions the more out of control it gets.
Bio: Dash grew up in Atlantis with her parents. When they died two years ago she was left a hefty inheritance and she found her way to the Rabbit Hole. She has been there ever since. With no other family Dash was all alone and when she came to the Inn and Bar everyone was so friendly she just couldn't leave. Alice has taken her under her wing and looks out for her.
Appearance: Dash has large gold eyes rimmed with thick black lashes and very weird hair. It's stick straight, falls down to her lower back and is colored just like her fur. She's tan and slender. Dash is tall for her age, about 5' 2". In her cheetah form she's about 3/4 of the size of an adult cheetah.

Bio: There's not much to say about Chenol's past. She grew up in the ocean and one day found her way to Atlantic where she has been ever since. Though she does visit home sometimes.
Appearance: (the blonde one) Chenol has deep blue eyes with a hint of green in them.

Other: Chenol likes to watch over Dash and is often taking a break to go for a quick swim.

Lilah witnessed the assassination, but for some reason the advisor spared her life, but not before erasing her of her life's memory and giving her human legs. Her story starts over here...

Bio: Auris is the first born of his father. Thus heir to his father's kingdom, land of the nomadic tribes, Pandoris. Auris has two siblings, twins a brother and a sister.
After many failed attempts of his father trying to marry him off, 'for the good of their kingdom and people' Auris was finally sent off to find a suitable bride on his own. Since he clearly did not like any that his father chose for him.

Other: Auris traded his eyes to a seawitch for magic, though once he realized he had been tricked he set out to regain his eyes. With help from a friend he succeeded in getting his eyes back. Auris' tail is grey with black stripes as is fitting for a tiger shark.

Bio: Medilio was born in Helice, but was the illegitimate child of a mermaid and human mage. For years, Medi's mother hid the existence of his own powers from Medilio, until he turned 16 and was suddenly aware of all his abilities. The rest of Helice and the royal family demanded that he be exiled, and he gladly indulged them. Running away from Helice, he swam around the ocean for 3 years, staying wherever he could. Medi ended up developing a cold attitude towards every living thing. Then, he found The Rabbit Hole. It was the perfect place for him to start over, and he did just that by becoming the Rabbit Hole's premier chef. Slowly but surely, he learned to care again, and made many friends at the tavern/inn.

Appearance: Valentina has soft features, blue grey eyes. Her hair is strawberry blond, and curls lightly. Valentina is slightly plump with peach colored skin and adores wearing feminine clothing, and most usually wears a dress.

If you totally want her too, go ahead. Rabbit hole cates to the Aquatic and the non-water....The city of Atlantis has interconnecting tubes that are used by the "Normals" or "Landers" and the tubes are kept completely dry with plenty of oxygen. The RH also has a pool for entrance from the outside water.

My char does both sometimes....If I find the pics I'll put up images of the diff locations.

Got it, so I made my character pretty malleable so anyone could take a stab at creating her. I'm willing to work with that haha I think it will be fun. Say, someone could recognize her as someone or from somewhere, or be the person she used to have relations with, or went to school with or who banished her from Atlantis which is why she has no memory of her mermaid self etc... Who knows, it might be a total bust but we shall see!

And Kya, why would she be banished from atlantis(especially if she visits RH, which is in atlantis)? From one of the other kingdoms I can understand...I had planned on there being three diff fish type mer kingdoms, Atlas, which Aria is from, and Atlantis...Then there is the other, nomadic, tribes for the Sharks(I'm kidnapping Kry's name for it, and I think he called it Pandora), the Whales, and the dolphins.

Will Kry be joining us? He's fun to RP with.

Yuck, I had a headache all day. But I ate and drank some water and it went away. Let me think on it for a few minutes and I'll come up with something good! Hopefully :) Haha

For the third mer kingdom? What about a kingdom in the iciest part of the ocean, with seal, beluga, and killer whale merpeople? It could be called Helice, as in the spiraling part of a seashell.

So how are things everyone?

well seals already have their own title and thats Selkies....the belugas and orcas would fall under the whale category, but then again the different species have different migratory trails....same with the dolphins and sharks....


But I had figured to at least have the fishies separate from the "larger" of the underwater creatures...

The only pain killers that ever really did the job for me were Vicodins. My migraines were so bad not even migraine medication would work =/
