This is a one on one for Papillon and myself!

It all starts in the city of Roushno where it's right on the beach and has the best view around. The days are filled with hanging around the beach, families around the town, the normal stuff. The nights are filled with adults clubbing and partying. It's a large city filled with fun. It is also a very dark city that hold many secrets.

There's one secret that only the special are privy to, the underground supernatural city that is right under all the normies feet. There are many entrances to the 'underworld' as the supes call it. But all of the entrances are hidden to the humans eyes and cannot be found unless you stumble upon it. That is where this story starts off with, a pair of normies and one supe, who doesn't know about the underworld, find their selves somewhere that goes beyond their imaginations. How will it turn out you may ask? You will just have to wait and see..

She watched him reading under the big old tree in the middle of the park.Such a handsome and mysterious young man...Theodora Jarvis wanted very much to solve the mystery that was Slan.The young woman with light brown hair hadn't followed him,not exactly.She just happened to want to go to the library that day,and the park was on her way.He was always there after the day at university was over.

Walking quickly past him the young woman tried to relax.Suddenly she stopped and turned to the olive skinned man.Impulsively she grabbed his book and started to run away with it.Theodora laughed wildly,not quite sure what exactly had come over her.With flushed cheeks and a racing heart,she ran as far she could without paying attention to her surroundings.

Slan contemplated the book he held loosely in his hands.It was old and worn,with a battered cover.It had been a gift from his mother,something that was supposed to remind him of his roots.Alice in Wonderland,thought the young man.He had no idea how it was supposed to help him remember his roots,when it had nothing to do with anything except some fantastical place that didn't exist.

A young woman he'd noticed in a few of his classes walked by,then stopped for no apparent reason.One moment he was returning his gaze to the book in his hand,and the next it was gone.Slan saw her run away,with an angry grunt he jumped up to give chase.This gray eyed woman was going to give him back that book,if he had to follow her to the ends of the earth to get it!When he heard her laughing,his green eyes turned dark.That was when he tackled her.

Crashing trough an invisible barrier they fell into the darkness,far away from anything they knew.A strange fungus grew on the walls,giving off a comforting orange glow.The two strangers lay in a heap on the earthen floor of this unknown place,the books that had been so important just moments ago forgotten.

Zalia had been walking by the lake when she noticed Slan chasing Theodora, who seemed to be holding a book in her hands. She knew the two people because she had a class with them, but she had never talked to either of them before. It made sense why Slan was chasing her. Zalia had often seen Slan with the book Theodora now held, she knew it was important to him by how he always had it with him and the way he held it sometimes.

When the two of them disappeared Zalia gasped and ran over to where they had disappeared. Her long wavy jet black hair flowing out behind her. She stopped noticing a shimmering in the air. It was a familiar sight to Zalia, she had seen the odd shimmering places before but never dared go near them. Until now. She saw these places because she was supernatural, a Bucca. Stepping forward she fell also and landed with a thump on the ground. Pushing her hair out of her face she looked around and saw Slan and Theodora. "Um hi. Anyone know where we are?" The place was giving her the creeps, it was so dark and mysterious.

Licking his lips Daktari grinned down to the women he was feeding on. Completely full of blood he stepped away and wiped the womens mind of their encounter and planted a memory of her taking a walk. Walking away he went to an entrance to the underworld and stepped through. He free fell for a second then landed on his feet. Every entrance to the underworld was a free fall that took time and practice to get use to. He had mastered it a long time ago. Daktari started walking down the poorly lit tunnel that led to the city of the underworld. The underworld was vast and went of for miles, no one had ever seen the ends of it.

He continued to walk down the tunnel. When he walked under the few lights the tunnel had they shined off his golden blond hair. Daktari had went a long ways away from his home for his meal tonight so he had a while of walking until he reached the city. He could have just ran and he would have already been there. He was a Nachzehrer and they were very very fast but he liked to walk and think.

Theodora got up quickly when she heard a female voice asking where they where.She brushed off the dirt from her clothes while thinking about the answer.It seemed like something from a fairy tale...Falling trough a hole into the unknown.That was when she saw Slan's book and the title.She looked at her two unlikely companions and felt a wide grin form itself on her face."We're in Wonderland.That's to say we must be in a magical place,full of strange things that aren't supposed to exist."Excitement rose in her as she thought about the possibilities of what they might encounter.Absentmindedly picking dirt from her wavy hair Theodora continued."My name's Theodora ,I'm a Fine Arts student with a penchant for the fantastic."She looked expectantly at the other young woman,then at Slan.

An orange glow cast a strange light on his face as Slan sat with his back now to the cavernous walls of the underground place.Thoughts filled his mind...Maybe his mother had known about this place,maybe she'd seen it.It made his head hurt to think of why his roots might lie in a secret place beneath everything he knew.Slan's mother had said that she had met his father in the strangest of places,and rescued him from a terrible trial.It never crossed his mind that she could have meant it to be literal until now.Then he felt Theodora's eyes on him."Slan Morton,Arts."He refused to say anything else,and looked up at the root infested ceiling with half closed eyes,ignoring the two young women purposefully.

Standing up Zalia brushed herself off and smiled at Slan and Theodora. "I know who you two are, we all have an art class together. I'm Zalia or Zali as some people like to call me. I sit in the back so you've probably never noticed me." She started to walk around checking out the walls and pocking them. Everything was just so odd wherever they were. Turning around she smiled once more. "Let's go explore!" Not waiting for the other two Zalia started to slowly walk off.

Finally making it to the city of the underworld Daktari made his way to his club. It was called Falcon, that was all. For some reason everyone loved the name. Unlocking the front door he walked in a shut it behind him, he then flicked the inside and outside lights on. Daktari liked to keep the club open at all times for people to come in and hang out. He lived in the club so it was extra money if anyone came in during the day. At this hour no one would be quite up yet. The supes that lived in the underworld tended to keep the schedule of a 'vampire', only coming out at night. Daktari himself usually kept that schedule but something made him wake up earlier and he didn't know what it was.

With a shrug Theodora followed Zalia's lead,quite willing to find adventure in such an unknown place.Slan rose to follow them,unwilling to find himself alone in such a place.Casually he picked up his book as he rose and set off after them.They walked and walked ,it seemed like fore ever,following the lights in the tunnel until they reached a city.It was a marvelous sight indeed!Everywhere they looked stood stone buildings ,of a strange and eerie beauty quite unlike anything they knew.Only one of them was lit.Without really thinking they all headed that way and entered the place,with a sign proclaiming it simply as 'Falcon"

She saw a man standing alone within what was obviously a club.The chairs all looked so comfortable,but the wooden dance floors seemed so inviting...Especially since the music playing ,a medley of hauntingly sad violin and piano arrangements,seemed to invite the need for companionship.Following an impulse she didn't quite understand Theodora walked over to this stranger and extended her hand to grasp his.This was quite unlike her,but then again she hadn't been acting like herself ever since she'd taken the book from Slan earlier."My name's Theodora.Won't you dance with me?"So saying she pulled him onto the dance floor and waited for his response an expectant look in her eyes as she stared up at his pale face.

The place was definitely different,acceded Slan.It's music though,left much to be desired in his mind.The young man went to sit in one of the chairs,settling himself down for a very long stay.It didn't matter to him in the least that Theodora was throwing herself at someone she'd just met.No...But this other young woman puzzled him.There was something not quite normal about her."Zalia,is it?Why don't you come sit with me?"A small smile flitted across his face as he wondered what would happen next during this unexpected adventure into their very own version of Wonderland.

When the door of his club opened Daktari went completely still. Raising his head up he sniffed the air and got a whiff of human scent, two humans. He also got the scent of a supe that was surrounded by human smell. Daktari still hadn't moved when the girl human came and grabbed his had, trying to pull him over to the dance floor. Growling he moved with inhuman speed until he was behind the girl. His forest green eyes had completely turned black and his fangs extended. "What is a human like you doing in the underworld." His voice booming through out the room. Then he looked across the room to the girl supe. "Why did you bring them here supe? Humans are not suppose to know about the underworld!" This time he yelled, his voice booming around the room even more.

Zalia sat down by Slan and gave him a small smile. "Yes it's Zalia. This place is so...cool." She didn't have a better word to describe the place they had discovered. Zalia was about to say something else when she heard the man that had been in the club speak. Turning she looked over to him. When he looked straight at her and started to yell she flinched then jumped up to her feet. "I don't know what you're talking about! I've never been here before and what the hell does supe and underworld mean!" She yelled right back. Zalia now knew that this man was not a human and that he was different like her. But she was really confused. What he was saying didn't make sense and how did he know she was different?

He was screaming right in her ear,and the young woman was thoroughly annoyed at the fact that he was ignoring her in order to scream at Zalia,who seemed just as confused as she was. Theodora turned around to face this man,and her eyes widened when she saw the fangs protruding slightly from his mouth.Taking a deep breath to calm herself,because she decided to be the sensible one in this whole situation,Theodora spoke calmly."We have no idea how we got here.We fell trough something,I'm not sure what,and decided to follow the lights in the tunnels.And I'll ask you to stop screaming at Zalia,if she's a supernatural she doesn't know it!"Theodora smiled."I figured that supe could only mean supernatural,especially since you're obviously a vampire...And we're in the hiding place of supernaturals aren't we?It's the place where you come to hide from humans,and rest ,or whatever else it is that faeries and the others do.What should we call you?I won't ask for your name,because names have power don't they?"She started to ramble on a bit about knowing this because of all the fantasy books she'd read,then stopped herself with an effort.Theo was determined not to let the fear that made her heart pound,and blood rush trough her,control what she did.

After Zalia screamed after the man,and a look of confusion found itself on her face,Slan stood to stand between her and the stranger.For some reason he felt like he needed to protect her.Theodora on the other hand seemed like she could talk herself out of nearly any situation,if all else failed she would bore them to death with her talk.He looked back at the young woman behind him."Whatever he means,you have a friend in me.Call me Slan,I forgot I didn't tell you what to call me."He smiled a little then returned his gaze to the two on the dance floor.Slan found himself assuming a fighting stance,and wondered why his roots could be there once more.How could his gentle father have ever found his wat into the Underworld?

When he heard the human girl call him a vampire Daktari growled again and took a step back. "I am no vampire little girl. I'm a Nachzehrer, different than those nasty leeches. And the girl knows she is a supe don't you, you" pausing he sniffed the air. "What are you?" He couldn't quite place her scent but he had smelled her kind before. It was familiar, he had to have met one of her kind before. Daktari sighed and went over to the front door. After locking it and turning the outside lights off he drifted down the hallway. "Follow me," he said the words drifting behind him. He was going to have to explain everything to them and then wipe the humans minds. Walking down a hallway he entered a room filled with luxurious couches, chairs, and tables. Sitting down he waited for them to walk in.

Stunned still Zalia just stood there for a minute as the Nachzehrer walked away from them and told them to follow. Shaking herself she looked to her two companions. "Um I think we should follow him." Turning around she gave Slan a small smile and grabbed his hand, pulling him a long with her. She then grabbed Theodora's hand and pulled her along also. When she got to the door she saw the Nachzehrer set through she dropped their hands and walked in. Seeing him on a couch she sat on a love seat. When she spoke it was to everyone. "I'm called a Bucca, a sea demon sprite. We have two forms I'm in my White Bucca from better known as the human form." Then she went silent, seeing who would be the first to speak.

Theodora felt the blood rush to her cheeks as she realized she'd gotten their reluctant guide angry.She let herself be pulled along,and once they reached the room wondered where to sit.The young woman didn't want to sit alone,but she didn't think Slan would want her sitting beside him after she'd stolen his book in the first place.All in all the young woman decided to play with the fire of the unknown,and went to sit beside the Nachzehrer nervously.

Slan let himself be dragged along,unsure about how to take the fact that Zalia wasn't human.When they reached the room he immediately went to sit beside her.His hands shook as he was filled with questions he wanted to ask,but he decided to wait and see what this new player in their game would say.

Stiffening slightly when the human girl sat by him Daktari was impressed by how brave she was. Usually if he showed himself like he had and not messed with their minds they would run away screaming but not her. Moving his attention to the Bucca he snapped his fingers. "Ah so that is what you are. I remember a Bucca couple that lived top side with the normies. I assume that they are you're parents. Why didn't they tell you about the underworld? Now that is an interesting question. But that can wait." Turning to the human next to him he looked her up and down. "What is your name?" He asked quietly.

When Slan came and sat by her Zalia turned to look at him and gave him a smile. Leaning forward she whispered to him, "you may ask me any questions you want." Then hearing the Nachzehrer talk she turned to him. When he talked about her parents she got tears in her eyes and was grateful when he didn't pressure on about them.

"O,it's Theodora...I didn't mean to offend you earlier,I just saw your teeth and the first thing that popped to mind was 'vampire'.So umm,what are you?And what should I call you?"The young woman was blushing furiously because of the way he looked at her.It was like she was something tasty he wanted to eat,and considering the circumstances she should have been terrified.Instead curiosity had taken the place of fear and she wondered why he was there,who he was .She found herself trying to figure out what kind of personality he had,just by looking at him,especially his green eyes that had been so dark before.Unconsciously she had linked her hands together in an old habit of hers,a sure sign that Theodora was attracted to this stranger.It was a strange thing,but it was to remind herself not to show what she felt.It didn't help much this time because even she was unaware of the dilemma within herself.

Slan looked up at the young woman and smiled comfortingly.The young man knew what it was like,not wanting to talk about your parents.He shook his head slightly when he caught sight of Theodora and the man-who-was-not-a-vampire . They where both unusual people to say the least.Brushing his hair out of his face Slan turned his bright eyes to Zalia."I may have questions about you ,but what really bothers me right now is how my father could ever have ended up here ,or someplace like it.He's not the adventurous type,that's my mother.You see my mom always keeps saying that this book,"he held up his copy of Alice In Wonderland,"is a reminder of my roots.She also says that she rescued my father from a dangerous trial...I never thought she could have meant it literally until now."With a sigh he leaned back on the couch,accidentally touching Zalia 's arm with his left hand.

Daktari smiled slowly as he watched and listened to Theodora's reaction. He could tell from her heart beat and smells that she was a little attracted to him. Going into her mind he saw that she wasn't aware of the dilemma she was in. Her mind was filled with many confusing thoughts and he pulled out. "It's nice to meet you Theodora, may I call you Theo? As to me no offense taken and I am called a Nachzehrer, a shape shifting vampire with psychic powers." He paused considering what name to give her. Everyone knew him as Daktari or Dak so that is what he gave her. "You may call me Daktari or Dak, either one is fine." Now that he was calm his fangs slid back to their normal length, his eyes had already turned back to their natural forest green when he had been walking down the hallway.

When Slan's touched her hand Zalia felt tingles travel up her arm. It was an odd but comfortable feeling. "It must be hard trying to wrap your mind around it all. I wonder what the trial was. Did she ever go into details about it?" Zalia was very interested in Slan's past and wanted to know more about him. Out of the corner of her eye she watched the Nachzehrer, who she know knew as Daktari, talk to Theodora. It was odd being down here and everyone acting so normal. There was nothing normal about it.

A smile formed itself on the young woman's face in response to Daktari's words.It was bright and full of happiness;Theodora was the kind of person who loved smiling.She noticed her clutched hands,and looked at them with a frown.She glanced up and saw how close Slan was sitting to Zalia,and heard what he said.Tough Theodora was as puzzled as Zalia looked,she decided to return her attention to the intriguing man beside her."You can call me Theo if you want.What where you going to say earlier?And please...Don't make me forget!I won't tell anyone I promise,no matter how tempted I might be."She looked pleadingly into his eyes,willing him to realize that she was telling the truth.Then she noticed little things about Daktari's face,the kind of things that where there but not.It was more of a certain look ,then anything else and she couldn't place what it was,what emotion had marked him so much that it would linger long after it was gone.

A jolt of adrenaline ran trough Slan when he saw Zalia shiver at the brush of his hand.If only he could protect her from whatever had made her parents hide above ground.He shook his head in annoyance,this wasn't the time for silly crushes.Concentrating he tried to remember what his mother could have said ,anything that might help.A rush of air escaped from the young man and his eyes widened when he did find the memories he needed.With a racing heart Slan began to tell all to Zalia."When I was little..."He stopped to compose himself."..There where things in my room,shadows really and my mother always made them disappear with her sword,it looked like it was made of light you see..But during the day it was rusty,worn and old...She told me that only someone with a pure heart,full of love,could make it shine.She said that she'd done everything she could to find Alianor,that's the sword's name, in order to save my dad.He was being used to represent the whole human race,and was being put on trial...I can't remember what happened next,I don't think I want to.The story terrified me as a kid,and now when I think that it probably actually happened.." Slan stood up angrily and started pacing across the room.Back and forth he went until finally he picked up one of the chairs and threw it across the room with an angry yell.He stood panting after that,aware that he'd shocked everyone.

Diving into Theo's mind Daktari could tell that she was completely truthful with her words. He was stumped by that and didn't know what he was going to do. The supes didn't quite welcome humans but they might just accept Theo, he didn't know about Slan though. The two humans were walking under a timer, a very short timer. It would be best to make them forget and to send them home but Daktari didn't know if he could do it. Smiling slightly he continued to look at Theo's face and in her mind. "We'll see love we will see." Hearing the crash and Slan's yell Daktari jumped to his feet in a blur and looked at him. "I've heard rumors and storied about what you are talking about. All supes have." That was all he said. If Slan wanted to know then he would have to ask Daktari.

Zalia jumped slightly when Slan rose to his feet, threw the chair and yelled. It was not what she expected so it startled her a bit. Rising to her feet she walked over to Slan. "Come on Slan let's sit down and listen to Daktari. It might help a bit?" She asked him softly. She looked to Theo and gave her a look that asked help me!

For some reason she felt as if Daktari was looking at more then just her face,more then just the words she spoke aloud.Then she remembered him saying he was psychic..It should have bothered her,but it didn't.Then he called her love,and Theo's heart shivered with a longing she was only just realizing that she had.After that she pushed the thought of what she knew was impossible from her mind and concentrated on trying to help calm Slan down.Standing also she walked forward."Listen,we can't do anything about what happened without knowing the facts.Ignorance would be our downfall if we rushed in."Theodora was reluctant to step forward anymore,she wanted to stay beside Dak now that she knew of the feelings she had for him.

Slan took a deep breath then turned to face the blond man."Tell me everything you know...Please?"He gave an uncertain smile to Zalia,aware that she'd been the one to bear the brunt of his anger.After that the young man waited impatiently for the enigmatic man to speak.

Daktari nodded and began. "I don't know much as the rumors were only a few. It was a very..uh tricky thing for the supes to talk about, almost forbidden you could say. What I know is that it involves the fairy courts, not the Fae but the fairy. It has been said that the fairy courts sent out a kidnapper to take a human so they could put the human on trial for what the human race did to the earth. You know how the fairy and their kinds are about the earth..anyways it was said that a human female saw the kidnapper take away the human lad and gained the ability to see all the fairy and fae. She followed after them and came upon a legendary sword named Alianor, or rather she went in search of it. To the rest of the story I do not know..but other supes may know more." Daktari stopped talking and waited for Slan to say something.

Standing still Zalia didn't know what to say. Daktari's story was just wow. She really wished he knew more and she knew Slan would want to know more also. Maybe she could ask around in the Underworld and see what other supes would say. Zalia knew she would get farther than Slan would if he asked around. She figured that the supes weren't to fond of humans.

After hearing what had happened to Slan's parents,Theodora couldn't help but feel that her own life's story was plain in comparison.She was glad that the most interesting thing in her life,where her past experiences as a fencer.It was still incredibly interesting ,the fact that there was a magical sword somewhere that you could use to fight off shadows.If there was one,maybe there where others too...She shook her head,there was no way they would be staying in the Underground long enough for an adventure.She got the feeling Daktari wanted to get rid of Slan and herself as fast as he could.Wanting to leave,but reluctant to do so because of Daktari, Theodora was on the fence about the entire ordeal. Besides,she knew the chances of anything happening between her and the Nachzerer where nearly impossible.If anything did happen,it would leave Daktari in a horrible position,what with him being immortal..At least that's what Theo thought.

After not knowing anything for so long,finding things out in this way was horrible.Daktari's words also sparked a myriad of memories in the young man's mind.It seemed so long ago when his mother,Rowena,had been telling him tall tales and bedtime stories.Every minute that passed convinced the young man more and more that his mother had already told him everything ,he just hadn't realized it."She fell in love with him when they where both thrown into the dungeons.The Fall Queen took Alianor away ,and returned to her throne .The Royal fay was unaware of the trap that the young woman had set.In this way ,she could challenge any of the fay for her freedom,and that of her love."Slan paused and smiled ,full of pride in his mother and how resourceful she had been.Then a frown etched itself on his face."My mother always ended her stories with , ' Beware the fay,never step foot on their lands.They need only the slightest excuse to capture you and use you for their trial.' " Slan laughed wryly."It seems like we've already done that Theodora,wouldn't you say?"He looked to her,then Zalia.What a beautiful sight was the young woman,he wanted to get to know her...But the circumstances forbade it.

When Slan was finished talking Daktari stood in thought. For some unknown reason he wanted them to stay, he hadn't had human companions in centuries. He always trapped himself in the Underworld. "The fairy people don't dwell in this part of the city much anyways, this place consists of the more darker supes but we do have a fair amount of light supes, you could say, that come here. My club is the place to hang out, a sort of neutral territory where everyone get's along as long as they are inside." He paused and looked around to the humans and the Bucca. "I could protect you. I'm a powerful being down here one that people respect because of my powers and my status. There is also something I could do to insure that you are protected by me. I don't know if you will go for it but I will offer it."

Gripping Slan's hand she squeezed it slightly and whispered to him a little choked up, "At least they survived and had a happy ending." Hearing Daktari's words Zalia turned her head and frowned at him. Something he could offer? She noticed he was only offering to give it to the humans. Zalia guessed she was safe because she was a supe and no one would bother with her. She was very interested in his offer and what it would in-tell.

Intrigued ,Theodora put a hand on Daktari 's arm to get his attention. "Maybe you could tell us what this offer is,so we can decide whether or not we'd like to accept."In the back of her mind Theodora already had.She didn't usually rush into things , but this day seemed to be anything but ordinary."I'll probably say yes,even if Slan doesn't."So saying she went and sat back down on the couch.Her legs where shaking and she wasn't sure why.Maybe it was the fact that she was going to put herself entirely in a stranger's power...Or maybe it was a reaction to Daktari himself,and not the thought of putting her life in his hands?With a grimace she hid her face in her arms,which she had set on the arm of the couch.

A blush crept up the back of Slan's neck when Zalia took hold of his hand.He was glad no one could see it.He looked down at her ,his emerald green eyes grateful ,and squeezed her hand in return.To think that if they had never fallen trough the gateway none of them would ever had met.Daktari's words sank in then."I think I'll take my chances for now,and see what comes up.If my mother was able to survive down here without any allies ,I should be able to do the same.Especially since I know much more then she did when she first came here."He also didn't trust the Nachzerer.If Slan needed to depend on a supernatural ,it would be Zalia that he turned to.

Daktari gave Theo a small smile to her words then turned and looked at Slan when he said no. "That is understandable, and I think you just might be well of and have no problems. I will let it know that you are a friend of mine and that will go a long ways. Would that be alright?" He asked of Slan. If the man didn't want his help at all then that was fine also. Daktari looked back to Theo and studied her before speaking. "It's very simple. All I need to do is drink some of your blood and then you drink mine. But it will change you a bit. Your senses will be heightened, you will become faster and stronger. Not by a lot but it will be a noticeable difference. You will also heal slightly faster. Are you ok with that Theo? Also their is one more thing..it will become easier for you to be turned. The more times we swap blood the easier it get's." He hoped she said yes even under those circumstances. Daktari didn't know why but he really had a need to protect her and he wanted to taste her blood.

When Daktari started to talk to Theo Zalia turned to Slan and looked into his eyes. "I think you should at least let Daktari state you as a friend. It would make you safer and I really can't protect you much. Yes I have abilities that could help but I know nothing about the Underworld. I wouldn't be able to help protect you until I learned everything. Please let him at least do that." She pleaded with him with her ocean green blue eyes that were striking against her pale shimmery skin.

The thought of drinking Daktari's blood disgusted her.When she thought about it bile rose in her throat,but at the same time...She was curious about what it would feel like if he drank hers.Would it change things between them?She lifted her head from her arms to look at the man in question.Theodora was going to say yes,it wasn't like she was going to drink his blood again!The advantages far outweighed the possible consequences.Nervously she got up and felt her legs shaking.It felt like she couldn't breathe. The two near strangers where going to share their blood,and there was no turning back for Theo after that."I'll do it,but could it be not in front of anyone else?It seems...I don't know ,wrong somehow."

Surprise moved trough Slan when Theodora accepted Daktari's offer.At the same time..The young man tried to remember how she'd acted in their class together .She'd always been a strange one.With slight smile for Zalia he nodded."I suppose you're right."Reluctantly he turned away from her captivating eyes and let go of her hand.Slan walked close enough to Daktari that he stood in front of him."Alright,tell them I'm your friend."His green eyes met the other man's and he thought he saw a flicker of longing in them.Maybe the unflappable Daktari was lonely?"We could try actually being friends you know."Offered Slan as he turned away to join Zalia again.

Hearing Theo's thoughts Daktari couldn't help but smile slightly. "Don't worry it won't taste bad. People have told me my blood taste's like ambrosia." When Slan stepped in front of him Daktari looked him in the eyes. As Slan walked back over to Zalia he spoke. "I will let it be known tonight when the club is full. If you all can stay here until then that would be best. Now you both can stay in the room or explore the club, whatever you want. But if a door is locked please do not try and enter it. I fear you might not like what is behind the door. Also..it would nice to be friends." With that he turned to Theo he grabbed her around the waist and lifted her off her feet then blurred. As he ran he seemed to float off the floor, the walls blurring by. Daktari took Theo down into the basement, which had been converted into his own house. It had many different rooms, some of the doors were open and some were closed. Going to his master bedroom Daktari set Theo down and closed the door. "You won't be able to run that fast but you will be faster than any human. Faster than some lowly creatures." He turned and looked into Theo's beautiful eye's. "Are you ready?" He asked softly.

When Daktari and Theo left Zalia looked around the room before looking to Slan. "So do you want to sit and talk? Or do you want to explore that club?" She wanted to talk to Slan but she also wanted to go explore. Either one seemed fine to her. Deep inside she was slightly worried for Theo. She didn't know Daktari, none of them did. He could easily just kill her but she didn't think he would. Something in his eyes told her she was lonely.

The young woman didn't trust her voice so she nodded instead of speaking.Theo didn't know if she was dizzy from how fast Daktari had run,or if it was something else.She was going from warm to cold in seconds,she shivered uncontrollably.Theodora had never been alone like this with a man before in such a situation.She was afraid.It was the fear of someone completely inexperienced in the matters of the heart and romance.His eyes where very green,and her own gray ones where captivated by him.

A laugh escaped Slan as he grabbed hold of Zalia's hand and pulled her along with him out into the club.'why not do both?'He was feeling adventurous all of a sudden.As he began walking around the main part of the club,where they had entered,Slan began asking Zalia some of the questions crowding his mind."So why did your parents decide to live away from their own kind?If you want to talk about something else go ahead,I'm just curious."He added the last statement when he remembered the sad look on her face when they'd spoken of his own parents.

"You have nothing to be nervous about Theo. Trust me, I will not hurt you I promise." He continued to look into her eyes trying to convey his sincerity in their green depths. He was a little nervous himself, not because he thought he would lose control but because he hadn't done this in centuries. Ever since Miradela had left Daktari had been a loner, not letting anyone in. Grabbing Theo's hand he led her over to his massive bed and set her on it. "I'm going to drink from your wrist, less messy and easier to heal from." Looking up to her face Daktari let her see that his eyes had turned completely black and his fangs were extended. He leaned down, his eyes still connected with her's and bit her wrist. She would feel a sharp ping of pain and then it would evolve into something more, something that depended on her. Everyone had a different reaction to a Nachzehrer's bite. Daktari began sucking her blood, the taste amazing. He had never tasted blood so good. After taking a few more pulls he pulled away and licked the wound, helping it heal. Then biting his won wrist he held it out for Theo. "Drink now before it closes." Blood was smeared around his mouth, as he licked his lips.

Giggling Zalia let Slan pull her from the room. When he asked about her parents she sobered up and walked next to him, silent for a few moments. Finally she spoke, "To be honest I never really knew. Sure they told me what I was and about our background and stuff, but they never mentioned the Underworld. I new they were hiding from something but I never knew what. They would never tell me." Pausing Zalia turned and looked at Slan. "They were murdered when I was away in Germany. I knew then it had to have been who or what they were running from but now I assume it had something to do with the Underworld. If only I could figure out what.."
