 (No visor)
It was time for the Harvest Festival and Fairy Tail was having a tournament to see who the next S-class candidates were going to be. From this tournament only two of the eight candidates were going to be picked but it was a chance to lock in a spot early. The battles were to be held at the newly constructed Colosseum in town. Over the past several centuries Magnolia Town had expanded into one of the largest cities in all of Earthland and was now the largest and most prosperous city in Fiore. Originally being a merchants town, now Magnolia was simply a money tree. There were all sorts of attractions here from the Colosseum to a large outdoor Aquarium and the population had exploded.
People bustled around the town sightseeing at the festival as tall dark skinned male made his way through headed towards the Colosseum. His long curly dreads bounced off his back as the blonde tips looked like the light at the end of a dark tunnel when contrasted to the rest of his hair. He drew stares from a few informed individuals. They were the ones who had heard of him, and he wondered if they would place their bets on him over the next two days.
Piercing golden eyes held true to their destination and nothing else. His walk was steady and determined. He could feel the glances and stares that he received and it was all unwelcome attention but he was starting to get used to it. He noticed a few groupies whispering as they looked in his direction and he smirked causing an outburst from the group and he shook his head as he kept his pace. Simple-minded.
It had only been a few short months since "Raiden", as he had recently been dubbed, joined and already he was gaining a reputation. Some feared the newcomer for his tenacity in battle. Others avoided him because they thought he looked intimidating. There were probably more reasons but he didn't know them or care to find out. The common denominator was that almost everyone avoided him, except for the groupies who admired him from afar. It had been this way since he was young and developed his magical talents. A few years he would like to forget, but still they served a reminder of how far he had come.
He was now close the Colosseum, a grand sight to behold with such marvelous architecture. Standing at the bottom of it made it look as tall as Mt. Hakobe and as wide as the walls of Clover Canyon. It had a long oval shape with entrances at eight separate points around it at the typical north, south, east and western ends along with the midpoints between. The inside looked like a layered bowl with the battle area being a magic floor. The floor of the Colosseum is special in that the field of battle can change drastically each fight lending the advantage to one fighter or another causing each fighter to take his or her surroundings into consideration each battle.
Arriving at his destination Raiden proceeded to check in with the clerk which consisted of giving your full name (to make sure you're on the list of fighters) and showing your brand (as proof that you're in Fairy Tail and a second Id check). After giving the man his name, the dread head removed his long white sleeveless coat showing him the gold tattoo on the back of his right shoulder. Satisfied the man allowed him in and ordered another worker to show him to the waiting area.
The escort looked at the competitor as if taking in a God. Raiden wore a long white sleeveless coat with a upturned collar. The coat is outlined in black at the seams and where it zips up and contains two gold Fairy Tail logos. One large one on the back and one smaller one on the front left side over the heart. His pants were similarly all white with a thick black stripe down the outside seams and he wore a pair of black combat boots. He also wore a pair of white fingerless gloves with invisible magic activated Fairy Tail symbols that radiated a golden light when he used magic.
After his moment of awe the two set off, "You're Raiden right?"
"Yeah."
"Ah, man taking this job is the best thing I could've done."
"Why is that?"
"I get to meet all the rising stars of Fairy Tail! You know how many people would kill to have this opportunity?"
"Alot I'm assuming?"
"More than you'll ever realize."
They walked a bit in silence before the boy spoke up again, "So I hear Tristan Firebrand is favored to win." Raiden smirked, "Maybe. . ."
"Yeah, but I think you may be the darkhorse."
"Why?"
"Well you're Raiden, the Thunder God. I think your title speaks for itself."
My title huh?
After exchanging a bit more small talk, they arrived in the waiting room. It looked like almost everyone was here. The tournament was set to begin within the hour.
