Yes. So in the topic of Glee, does it really ruin songs?

Because honestly, I think it depends on how you view Glee. You either like Glee, like its ships, or don't like Glee at all. And I think it's the people who like Glee who see their music as, "They make the songs sound so much better," or, "I see nothing wrong with their songs. Maybe better song choices are needed, but that's it." Whereas the ones who tend to not be so fond of Glee but will be fond of Glee would just dislike their song choices or will say that Glee ruins the songs they sing. And ones who don't like Glee at all will just say that (minus the bad qualities about the show itself), "Yupp. Glee ruins the songs they sing." I've even heard people compare Glee to Kids Bop... The ones who sing in Glee have talent though...

What's your opinion? :)

I hate the show but there are some songs that are well some on there. Other songs they just butcher. It just depends on the songs they choose. I do think that they need to pick better songs sometimes though.

Personally, I love the show, and watch it whenever I get the chance. However, sometimes I have trouble with their song choices, like when they re-do a song that has played (Whether it was in the background, or not) in an earlier episode/season. Another time when I have trouble is when a person isn't actually singing what is suited to their voice. (See Kurt in the first part of "F*cking Perfect") All that said, I have bought a couple of the albums. :)

I think it really depends on the song. But personally i love the show and how they perform older songs with a modern day twist. The only thing that sometimes bothers me is maybe when they change the tempo of some songs, like they take faster songs and sometimes sing them a little slower then the original. Thats really the only thing that kinda buggs me sometimes.

I'm not a fan of the show, and I'm not a fan of their renditions of songs. I wouldn't say 'ruin', but 9.9/10 I'd rather listen to the originals than Glee's version. My cousin loves Glee, and gets me to listen to their versions of classic songs, and when its over, I turn on my ipod and listen to the original version. I have yet to find a song where I like Glee's better, but I'm not going to yell and scream and curse Glee for what they're doing. Hell they're getting todays generation to listen to the wonderful lyrics of generations past, not quite in the form that previous generations had in mind, but hey, they're still being remembered.
