The large forest was called Rainwood, Ikori didn't know why the humans called it that. It didn't rain here more than anywhere else, perhaps they had just run out of good names. It didn't really matter to the dog though. He laid curled up, deep in the forest at the base of a tree. Resting. Once again he had run from a human town. Chased out by thrown stones and hurtful words. Demon dog. Everyone seemed to call him that everywhere he went. Sad blue eyes watched the grass in front of his front paws as a sigh left his muzzle lightly.
He knew better, he knew he should stay away from humans and their cities. But he was a dog, true and loyal. An honest and simple creature. Always drawn towards those humans and their cities, it wasn't always bad. Sometimes people were nice to him. Though it seemed that always changed whenever they saw him change. Ikori was a dog, but he was unique, he could take human form. Both forms as natural to him as the fur on his body, but he really was just a dog. His ears twitched lightly, as his eyes closed. Ready to take a brief nap.
The trees in this forest were thick and tall. Iron wood's they were called, because their bark was so very hard. Not to far away from where Ikori rested was a small pond, where the dog had drank his fill of the stagnant waters before laying down. The grass was lush and green, very soft and bushes, shrubs and flowers of every kind seemed to grow in this forest. Humans seemed to avoid going deep into this forest, they believed most of the plants that grew in it were poisonous and avoided risking any contact at all with such things.

The purple haired fae tugged at the shoulder length hair at the right side of his face with a wicked grin for a few moments. He'd followed the dog trough the forest, tracking it quietly with only one intent in mind. He was lonely, this pale skinned man was. No one ever wandered into his territory, with it's poisonous plants. They were so beautiful though, and Lalage tended them quietly. Though sometimes loneliness came to plague him, and that was why he was so bent on capturing this creature and making it his pet. The grey eyed man was going to care for it, and make it happy and try to befriend it.
Leaping from branch to branch of tall trees nimbly till he was hanging in the branches above the dog, Lalage felt the grin again pulling his dark lips from his teeth. Single earring dangling and shining in the light from his exposed, pointed, left ear, the male clambered down from his perch face down and jumped nimbly to the ground. Quickly wrapping a collar of rope, magic and semi precious stones around the dog's neck, the fae plopped down and crossed is legs. Leaning an elbow upon his knee, and cradling his face upon his palm, Lalage spoke softly and quietly to the creature. He'd already surprised the poor thing enough as it was. "I want you to be my pet, it gets so terribly lonely in my poisonous territory.."
Adjusting the leather vest he wore, the fae didn't care that his well muscled torso was exposed. Dark leather pants hugged his legs, but no boots adorned his feet. Lalage didn't care for the things, they made climbing everywhere so difficult. Reaching out with an elegant hand, he rubbed a gentle hand over the dog's ears and grinned happily.

Ikori had just begun to doze off, he hadn't heard anything, hadn't smelled anything. He hadn't realized that he had been followed by anyone or anything. Though if a faery wanted to follow someone and not let them know, then there wasn't much anyone could do about that. The scent of magic came to Ikori's nose moments before the collar was wrapped around his neck. Blue eyes snapped open, his ears laying down against his skull.
When those eyes found the faery before him, he let out a soft whimper and tried to scoot back some. Too bad there was a tree in his way. His nose wrinkled, the scent of magic all around his face now and he shook his head a bit. Keeping a wary eye on the faery. But. It was a faery. Not a human. Faeries could be trusted better than humans could be.
Slowly Ikori sat up, ears up and twitching as he watched the faery. His nose wrinkling again, and a paw came up to scratch lightly at the collar around his neck. Just getting a feel for it really. It wasn't the first time Ikori had been collared, and it certainly wouldn't be the last. The faery said he was lonely, Ikori was often lonely as well. He let out a soft whine and pawed at the collar again. It would have been nice if the man had asked him first before going ahead and collaring him. Still, when the faery reached out to rub over his ears Ikori relaxed into that touch, letting out a soft whine. His tail wagging very slightly behind him.

It worried him a little, all this dog's whining and pawing at the collar. Pouting, the fae reached out to wrap is arms around the dog's neck. "Oh please don't take the collar off, I just want to know where you are to make sure I can help if you get in trouble. That's all I promise." Fairies couldn't lie. Lalage was no exception to that unwritten law. Playing a little with the dangling earring one of his pointed ears, the fae glanced around.
Lalage turned his grew eyes to the dog and ruffled his light fur. "Come on, want to see my home?" It wasn't all that far. There weren't many ponds in such a forest, and so it only made sense that a faery would live nearby. Plus there was food, and food that the dog would hopefully like. If not, well Lalage wasn't averse to taking the life of an animal in order to eat it's meat and make clothing from it's hide and jewelry from it's bones. It bothered him not a bit, as long as he actually had a pressing need for it and a way of repaying the forest for such bounty.

Ikori blinked when the faery pleaded at him to leave the collar on. The dog's muzzle parted and he panted lightly, his tongue lolling out one side. Alright. He would be this faery's pet. For a little while at least, besides it was sure it would be better than being a pet to a human. Ikori did lick the faery's cheek when the male hugged him though. It was nice, being hugged like that. Faery's were good creatures, generally. So Ikori would play the part of a good pet for this man, it might be fun. Faery's were playful things, after all.
When the faery asked him if he wanted to see his home, Ikori stood and shook his fur out. Shaking from the end of his nose all the way to his tail tip, the way dogs sometimes do. His tail wagged as he looked expectantly to his new master, waiting for the faery to lead the way to his home. Ikori let out a soft bark, one he hoped sounded like a bark of interest, to show that he was interested in seeing the faery's home.

Delighted, Lalage leaped up and rested his hands against his hips for a few moments as he looked down to the dog. "Alright then, follow me and don't fall behind." Moving forward, Lalage leaped into a run with a whoop of laughter. Grass, branches, but mostly moss, met his feet as he ran forward gracefully. He preferred running like this to using hsi wings, hidden as they were beneath the flesh of his back.
It was such a bother putting them away. The fae slowed upon seeing stands of hyacinths and moved at a more sedate pace to the base of a hollow tree with blue faery fire glowing in various spots. Settling down at the opening between some huge roots, the fae waited for the dog to come join him. That had him thinking, he couldn't always call his pet dog. A name, he needed to find a name.

He should have expected the faery would want to run. Ikori loped after him, running just fast enough to keep the faery within sight. When the faery slowed, Ikori slowed. His nose wrinkling a bit as the scent of hyacinths came to his sensitive nose. Poison plants didn't frighten Ikori though, he was a dog after all and even in his human form such things didn't quite affect him the way they did normal humans. Of course, they could still kill him. It was poison after all, but the mutt had no intention of chewing on any poison plants. Panting just lightly he followed the faery to the hollow tree. When he stopped next to the faery, he stood close enough so that his side touched the man's leg, and looked up at him. His ears up and his tail wagged almost happily behind him. Running was fun, even if the dog was tired and still wanting a nap.

Looking down at his new friend, the fairy smiled and bent down to run a hand over his ears before motioning for to follow him inside. There was a makeshift bed of sorts, and stairs and an eclectic collection of objects. Some were shiny, others were beautiful, but most were just downright strange and eerie.
"Well here's your new home, now to figure out a name for you." Moving with a playful gait, the fae went to plop down on his bed with a sigh. Placing his arms beneath his head, Lalage peered at the dog then patted a spot beside him. "Have any ideas?" He was sure the dog already had a name, most animals did. He'd just never bothered mastering the skill of speaking with them.

Ikori followed the faery into his new home. His blue eyes darting this way and that to look at everything. He wandered around a bit, with his nose close to the floor, sniffing, the way dogs do when they enter a new place. Then he would lift his head and sniff at the air or at an object that was on a shelf. He made his way towards the bed, sniffing it twice when the faery patted a spot. Then Ikori jumped up onto the bed, laying down with his body pressed against the faery's. Ikori busied himself with licking the faery's face now. He practically ignored the words the faery spoke about a name. It didn't matter what this person called him, Ikori knew his true name, even if others didn't and that was all that mattered. He wriggled a bit, as if trying to get even closer to the faery as he licked the male's cheek.

Lalage dissolved into laughter as the dog jumped onto the bed and began licking his face. That tickled! Wrapping his arms around his new pet, the faery quieted with a smile and buried his face in his friend's fur. "Selwyn, is it alright if I call you that?" Fingering the collar lightly, Lalage pulled back with a small smile and burrowed deeper into his blankets. It was so much fun, finally having a friend. He didn't truly realize how lonely he'd been until he'd found this dog, and somehow got him to become his pet.

Ikori licked and nuzzled the faery a few moments longer. His tail wagging a bit. It didn't matter what the faery called him, but Selwyn did seem like a nice name. It was certainly alot better than what some humans would call him. Ikori wriggled a bit when the faery pulled back and burrowed deeper into the blankets, he shoved his head under those blankets and wriggled until his entire body was under the blankets. Ikori let out a soft bark as his head popped up out of the blankets, leaving the rest of his body covered. He rested his muzzle on his front paws. Yawning a bit. He still wanted his nap.

Laughing at the dog's antics, Lalage shook his head slightly. "You're en entertaining fellow Selwyn." Reaching out to pat his head, the faery echoed the dog's yawn with one of his own. Mumbling softly to himself about only having stayed up so late to find a pet, the faery moved to curl around his new friend protectively. If anything entered the vicinity of his home, Lalage would be woken by spells he'd put in place.
But it was daytime, and he preferred night oh so much. So he closed his amused grey eyes with a content sigh and tried to get used to the presence of his new friend. It was definitely going to be different having someone to talk to all the time.

Ikori had given the faery's face one last lick before falling asleep. The dog slept longer than he had intended but it really didn't matter. The sun was just starting to go down when a dull ache at the wrist joints of his fore paws woke him. There were bandages around those wrist joints, but Ikori so much fluffy fur they wouldn't be noticed at all if someone wasn't looking for them. Easily the dog slipped out from under the blankets, moving off the bed gently. He padded softly and quietly out of his new home.
Ikori would take a bath, in that pond he had been resting by earlier. He ran. It didn't take him long to reach the pond, as he stood at the water's edge he changed form. Going from dog to human. The collar remained around his neck but it seemed to resize itself to fit his human form snugly. He wore no shirt at all, and the bandages could clearly be seen around his wrists now. Ikori stood there for a few moments, wearing only a pair of pants.
He had no idea what happened to his pants when he changed to dog form, all he knew was they always came back when he changed to human. He pulled his pants off, a tiny roll of white bandages falling from one of his pockets. Quickly he bent down to retrieve it and lay it on top of his discarded pants. Then Ikori unwound the slightly dirty, somewhat blood stained bandages from his wrists and tossed them aside before he stepped into the pond. One hand came up to touch the collar lightly, as if he were thinking about removing it. He lowered that hand, he would keep the collar on.

It was a little while before the faery reached out searchingly in his sleep for his friend. Letting out a sigh, Lalage pried one of his grey eyes open, then slowly cracked open the other. A frown crossed his face, and a sliver of worry went trough the fae's heart. There were dangerous things out there, and there was a chance that Selwyn wouldn't be able to deal with them.
Quickly standing, the fae ran a hand trough his hair to smooth it down before walking out of his home. Extending his mind using the spell he'd placed upon the collar he'd given Selwyn, the man walked briskly in the direction of the nearby pond. The sight that met his eyes when he arrived had the fae torn between wonder and disbelief. Moving quietly and with great care he bent down to look at the bloody bandages left behind by his friend. Lalage had no doubt that it was he, it was plain to see that Selwyb still wore the collar he'd given him.
Grinning mischievously, the faery removed his clothing and slipped into the pond as well. Swimming quickly towards the other man, Lalage wrapped an arm around his waist. He didn't want him to escape without being able to talk to him. "When were you planning on letting me know?" A hint of playfulness in the fae's voice showed that he was rather amused with the whole situation, rather then angry or upset.

Ikori had been peering closely at the undersides of his wrists. Old scars and even some fresher cuts where there. Cuts that he had done early this morning before he had ever come to this forest. Slowly he lowered his hands into the water and hissed lightly. The fresh ones stung a bit when the water touched them, slowly the stinging pain eased and Ikori sighed softly. He thought he heard a noise, but it had probably been a fish. That faery was so silent, even in the water, or maybe Ikori just wasn't paying as much attention as he should have been.
He was taken completely by surprise when that arm wrapped around him, jumping a bit and letting out a squeak. For a moment he shivered when the faery spoke. His new master had caught him, but he didn't sound angry. Of course he wasn't angry. Faery's were nice, they weren't like humans at all. Slowly Ikori turned to face that faery. They were both naked and that made Ikori blush and attempt to move away slightly. "..I..wasn't.." He spoke only those two words but his voice sounded sad. It always sounded sad, he was just a sad creature. He hadn't been planning on the faery finding out he could change though.

Watching for the dog's reaction carefully, Lalage was rather taken aback by the sadness in his voice. Though he was slightly distracted by the blush upon the other's cheeks. "No need to worry. It doesn't matter, not really." Reaching out to brush a hand affectionately over Ikori's cheek, the fae smiled slightly. Though when he let his grey eyes fall down in search of the wound that had bloodied those bandages, he frowned. Reaching out with his free hand to catch the dark haired man's wrist in his, Lalage tsked at the damage done.
"Now what would make you do such a thing to yourself?" As he spoke the faery ran a gentle thumb over the wounds and let his magic reach out to at least ease the pain there, and make them heal. Bringing his grey eyes back up again, Lalage tightened his hold slightly upon the other man's waist. It would be easy for Ikori to escape if he wanted to though.

Ikori still blushed. They were standing so close, and naked. He chewed on his bottom lip some, and leaned his face into that hand as it brushed against his cheek. Gentle touches were such a welcomed thing. Much better than having rocks thrown at you. When he realized the faery was reaching for his wrist he tried to move his hand so it wouldn't get captured by the other. He was too slow, and Ikori looked away, out of shame mostly when the faery 'tsked'.
"..It helps..It eases the pain in my heart when humans call me names and say mean things to me..." His free hand had lifted to gently rest over his heart. Still his eyes were on the water around them, and his cheeks remained red. He did glance up to the faery's face when that grip around his waist tightened and he squirmed a little bit. His nose wrinkled a bit at the slight scent of magic that the faery used on his wrist. He licked his lips to moisten them. "...My true name is Ikori...but you can call me whatever you like.." Everytime the dog spoke, his voice held sadness in it. A life of shattered hopes could do that to a creature though.

"Ikori ..." Moving his other arm to the dog's waist as well, the faery titled his head so he could whisper softly into the other man's ear. "My name is Lalage. I can think of another way to ease the pain in your heart, that doesn't involve harming yourself." Pressing himself against the dark haired man to demonstrate his point, Lalage grinned. This was an unexpected turn of events, one he was rather glad had happened.
His lithely muscled arms only held Ikori lightly, barely even holding him. In truth, the dog could leave any time he so wished.

Ikori shivered a bit when Lalage whispered into his ear. He was still blushing from being so close to the other, the words the faery spoke only made Ikori blush harder. When the faery pressed himself against Ikori, the dog whimpered softly and moved back, slipping from the faery's arms and still backing up until a few feet were between them. "..No.." His face was so red, he felt feverish, and his eyes were wide. A hint of fear in the blue orbs. "...Please don't.." His heart beat fast in his chest, he could hear it loudly in his ears and he pressed both hands to his chest, over his heart. As if that could slow it back down. His eyes remained on Lalage, a little wary of the faery now.

A flash of disappointment slipped trough his eyes to disappear quickly enough. Laughing softly to himself the faery ran a hand trough his hair while shaking his head. "I won't. I would never force anyone to do anything, especially not this. I apologize." Lifting his eyes to the starry sky, Lalage stretched languidly before plunging underwater to search for something beneath the surface. There were small little treasures covering the bottom of this pond. This was where all the lost things went. It was far deeper, and far wider, then it seemed. The pond might as well have been an infinite sea, to be able to contain all that it did.
Eyes wide and a grin upon his lips, the faery resurfaced after far longer then a human could ever retain their breath. In his hand, he gripped a small trinket. Leveling is palm he held it out for the dog to take or examine as he willed.

Ikori relaxed when Lalage apologized and he smiled slightly. His heart beat was slowing down and he felt that the blush was finally leaving his face. When the faery looked up at the sky, Ikori raised his gaze as well. He did like the stars, he glanced back at Lalage just as the faery dove under water. Ikori wasn't much for swimming. He liked being in the water, but he wasn't going to dive under it to swim around. He shook his head slightly and held his wrist up to inspect it.
Lalage seemed like a very nice person, but of course he was. Lalage wasn't human. Ikori smiled again, lowering his hand into the water. That smile faded though, the faery had been under a little longer than Ikori thought was safe. Blue eyes darted this way and that, searching for his master. A few moments later, Lalage broke the surface and Ikori let out a relieved sigh. He held something in his hand. Ikori moved slowy, but came closer to Lalage, to peer at what was in the faery's hand, and then hesitantly he reached to pick up the object.

Shaking his head slightly, the fae pushed back stray hairs from his face. "Did I worry you?" Watching as his pet examined the little toy, he reached out with a smile and wound up the mechanical thing so the tiny dragon walked around on wobbling feet. The waters had done nothing to make it deteriorate, contrary to what one would have thought. Grey eyes lifting, the faery watched for Ikori's reaction carefully. He wanted for him to be happy, something that hadn't changed at all since he'd first discovered the shapeshifting dog beneath the tree.

Ikori nodded slightly in response to Lalage's question. His eyes on the little toy, a soft smile on his lips. It was surprising to have found a working toy beneath the pond's surface, still that wasn't really important. Ikori picked the toy up as it walked on wobbling legs and brought it to his face to inspect it. Ikori turned it this way and that, he poked at it lightly with a finger. He liked this little toy, it was cute. He put it back in Lalage's hand.
Ikori glanced towards where he had left his pants, and frowned just slightly. The dog was ready to get out of the water now, he glanced at Lalage. They were both naked. He shivered lightly, his arms coming up to hug himself as he moved back just a little bit. He trusted the faery, he just didn't want anyone to see him naked. He chewed his bottom lip gently. He could always change to his dog form, but then his fur would get wet and he didn't like the way his fur smelled when it was wet.

Smiling at the dog's reaction, the man moved to place the toy on the edge of the pond before returning to Ikori's side. Reaching out he framed the other's face and looked at his blue eyes. "I'm going to kiss you, but I swear that is all I shall do for the moment unless you show some sign of wanting more." Moving slowly, he captured Iroki's lips with his own and nibbled lightly at them. Before pulling back, the faery let his tongue slip into the other's mouth briefly to brush against the other man's for a few moments. Retreating with a soft smile, the fae ran a hand trough Ikori's hair affectionately. Throwing him an apologetic glance, he moved away to clothe himself again upon the edge of the pond-that-wasn't-a-pond.

Blue eyes followed Lalage's every movement as the faery moved to put the toy down. Ikori smiled softly when his master came back to him, his cheeks still a little red though, and he didn't mind when Lalage put his hands on the sides of his face. The words the faery said made Ikori's smile falter, and he squirmed a bit but didn't actually pull away. His heart beat faster, mostly because he was frightened, and when Lalage's lips touched his, Ikori blushed even deeper. He wriggled a bit, his hands going up to the faery's chest and he pushed at him weakly.
Ikori didn't push Lalage away from him and he didn't pull away himself, because Ikori was a good dog. Being a good dog meant you obeyed your master. When the kiss was over, Ikori seemed to relax some. It hadn't been a bad experience, and also, Ikori had never been kissed before. He stared down at the waters around him and raised his fingers to brush over his lips lightly as Lalage made his way out of the pond. Ikori was thinking.
