So lately I've been reading a bit into my horoscopes and whatnot, and was wondering how many of you enjoy reading them. I found this site called Horoscope Compatibility that has information on all the zodiacs and then some. I read through mine (Capricorn) and found it rather amusing how true mine was xD

So what about you guys? Do you enjoy reading them and think that they are pretty true about you for the most part? :D

I don't really like horoscopes because they're written really vaguely so that just about anything could apply to you. At least, that's how I feel about them. I'm sure some people get a lot of entertainment out of them though.

Theyre amusing and sometimes a fairly accurate way to find out ones personality. But I do read mine regularly.

I've been reading through my horoscope and that of my boyfriend. But holy crap, that is actually pretty accurate for us. It's really scary.
I do read my horoscope regularly, but I don't tend to live to what it says. It's more to reflect the day.

I always found mine to be really typical of a Scorpio, and my other half is a typical Leo. Most of what i read for our compatibility rings true, although some i've seen in the past would say that my boyfriend and I make for a terrible couple, that's really not the case at all, so i'm dubious of some. I've never known somebody to be the opposite if the personalities and characters defined by their horoscope. The ones i would dismiss without a doubt though, are the daily ones.

I find it funny to think about horoscopes, especially when they can be so scarily accurate! I'm a very typical Virgo, except for the negative traits like being very critical towards other people, being a snob, etc. We can't all fit 100% into something though, that wouldn't be fun.

I actually find it annoying that they only go towards a straight man and woman. What about homosexuals?

I was wondering that too when I was reading through the horoscope site. And I've never heard anything about people posting homosexual horoscopes. Though I'm sure that there are some out there... somewhere. It would be absurd for there not to be any at all. Though I do think that most people look forward to reading through the straight woman and men horoscopes, therefore those are the ones that are posted. Wouldn't know for sure though.

And I was reading through my friends' horoscope (whom I like <w<), and it listed that it's time to meet an online friend and set up a date. I lawl'd when I read that one xD, so true for the both of us at the moment.

I don't believe in horoscopes all too much. It's just something interesting to read through to see just how accurate they can be. I have read a few that have been WAAAY off though.

Exactly. I hate when mine says "You will find a man" and I just stop reading right there because it already proves false. XD

I know, lol. I mean, I'm a lesbian and while a lot of that stuff about Cancer applies to me? I'm not going to find a man or date one. XD

My opinion on these things are they are ridiculous. When people seem to be so interested on these things makes me ponder why they are interested. It's laughable to read it and dismiss it as a general laughable and false statement. That's how I view horoscopes. I dislike it when people push their thoughts of my horoscopes on me. I'm my own person and you have to get to know me, not read about it in magazine or on the net.

I have never once had an accurate horoscope prediction. Actually, they're almost the exact opposite of what happens in my day, usually.

I've taken too many psych classes to believe in horoscopes in any way whatsoever....they're so vague it's pathetic.

As per the personality charts that go with the zodiac signs. Same difference. I think they're better than the horoscopes, but I'm a Taurus, and I hate earth tones. Yeah, I'm stubborn as shit, but so are a lot of people...I'm not a stockily built person, either. I have a very feminine body. Yeah, I like nature, but again, most people do. I'd go on, but this is getting too long.

I completely agree with Keyori. The daily/weekly horoscopes are always quite vague, and give you plenty of room to explain it away or find ways that they're "true" if you want to believe in them enough.

For example, this is apparently my horoscope for today:
Quote:
You need to reconsider whether some in your circle are playing the game of commitment or playing you for a fool, and this means that the emotional side of life (especially with regards to your social life), could impact upon your wellbeing. If you've worked hard at loyalty and friendship don't demand less than an equal and reciprocal return from others.
So, essentially, "some of your friends might be disloyal."
I'm sure we've all got some friends we trust more than others. This horoscope could well make me a little paranoid about my circle of friends, if I believed in it. It could apply to me, if I really wanted it to.

And this is the Aries horoscope for today:
Quote:
You probably crave excitement, change, and discovery, and cannot tolerate your routine today as it offers little in the way of surprise or challenge. Excitable, spur-of-the-moment, and enthusiastic about something new, you may be perceived by others as being too impulsive. Even if this isn't like you, go with your impulses and see what great adventures to put before you.
So, essentially, "today you're bored of your routine."
I'm sure we all have days when we get bored or frustrated by our daily routine. And if something you believe in tells you that today is one of those days, well, it's very easy to plant that seed of agitation in someone's mind. So again, it could well apply to me, if I wanted it to.

I don't read horoscopes often. They're never accurate for me anyway.

I do like reading about the zodiac signs in general, though. Like the mythology, traits, etc. (I'm a Libra)
