We all know that candy corn and ghosts are for Halloween,
Pine trees and stockings are for Christmas,
Sparklers and fireworks are for the Forth of July (US), etc.
Every holiday has their trademark items that instantly bring memories back to
that particular time of year... but do you have an unusual one that maybe no
one else has? Something really random to most people takes you back to a
certain holiday? I know most people have something, and I'm curious to know
what yours is!! :)
Fable II, the video game for the Xbox, reminds me so much of Christmas and winter in general. When my boyfriend
moved here during the Holiday season, that is all we would play together for hours and hours straight every day!! I
remember the Tree all lit up next to the TV, and the smell of ginger bread men in the oven while we were playing. It really
is an endearing memory, and it totally takes me back to the holidays!!

Um, well, I have one, but it's not happy. Fits with the thread, though, I guess.
The whole state of South Dakota, and the name "Ian" reminds me of Thanksgiving. Because I got my heart broken there by a guy with that name during Thanksgiving week.
I just hate the state and name, though. Not really Thanksgiving. I'm still okay with that.

Skyrim has that winter/christmas feel to it too. I'm okay with all that. I like Christmas.

One of Cher's songs reminds me of 'Summer holidays' as it was constantly on the radio ALL summer when I was younger. I just remember being in my neighbors pool, and hearing it all the time. x3

Glitter. I know it's kind of Chrismas-y, but it's never really been heavily involved in our holiday. When i see it i just think of all the shiny things, lights and decorations i see during that period, and it excites me!

New books always remind me of Easter.
In our house growing up, the Easter Bunny brought new books (as well as a chocolate egg, but I refused to eat chocolate as a child, so I always associated Easter more with getting books).
Kind of embarrassing when I started nursery school, though. I thought everyone's Easter Bunny brought them books.
Then when our teacher was asking about Easter one time, and everyone was shouting out the answers.
Teacher: "And who's got long ears and comes at Easter?"
Everyone: "THE EASTER BUNNY!"
Teacher: "And what does he bring?"
Everyone else: "CHOCOLATE!" Me: "BOOKS!"
They all laughed at me. *sniffle*
