Hey! I'm rainbows. o3o Word around the block is that Mene has the most active roleplaying community out there (well, Gaia doesn't count :c). True? I have no idea. :D Might as well try, haha.
Just so you know, I tend to write a lot. ;_; I don't need you to write as much as I do, but I like to read at least two sentences~

......What I'm Looking For
• Realistic fantasy
• Modern fantasy (urban fantasy! ♥)
• Medieval times
• Fantasy races - Elves, Fae, Merfolk, Vampires, Shifters, etc
• Any gender pairing - I can play any gender
• Romance is nice, but it certainly isn't required.~
• Easygoing roleplay - very casual!
• Serious roleplay - a lot of OOC communication to establish direction and interaction is required. I have Skype and AIM for this.
Ask me if your craving is something I'd want to do!

......What I'm NOT Looking For
Fan roleplays - Only exception is Game of Thrones setting with original characters (because the setting is vast and unique! Can you tell I'm a fan..?)
• Anthro - A pet/companion with psychic powers to communicate might be alright, but nothing beyond it. Ask me about it!
• Mecha.. No transformers, please. o_o
• Outer Space. It always reeks of cheese to me..
• Inactive partners! I'll do my best to reply at least once a day. Please try too!
• Only children. I prefer older characters! If there is one child character (under 14), it would be fine.

......Ideas: I have some, but I'm always up for your ideas and doing your cravings. ;u;
• Urban fantasy - large city with young adults involved in the discovery of an underground (literally or figuratively) fantasy race/culture
• Merfolk - Royalty or Political movement. Older characters only, please.

I'd be game to RP with you! :eager:

By realistic fantasy, do you mean real world situations? C: I love gritty realism. However, medieval has also caught my eye, not to mention I have such a love of elves! C:

Ooh. o3o Hi bucket.

Yes, more realistic situations - I prefer believable fantasy. If you know what I mean? Like, elves would be believable - or fae, who use glamour to hide in society.. subtle magic. Stuff like that? Hehe.

Hello. :3

Elves are simply dwarves with fancier clothes, so definitely believable. I like the idea of a urban culture discovering a fantasy race! C: *cough*elves*cough*

Hmmn..~ I'm actually a fan of the taller sort of elves. When I started playing D&D, I was dismayed to find that elves are usually.. very short.. Like keebler elves. My DM took pity on me (seeing that I was near to tears ) and allowed me to make my type of elf.

Hmmn.. Would you like to use an actual city as a setting, or just make one up?

I've never played D&D before, but after I saw it on Recess I've really wanted to play. I don't know anyone into table top gaming though. :c At least you got to make the sort of elf you liked! When I think of a tall "elf" I can only think of Buddy who was actually a human.

I'd prefer a made up city. Mainly because I usually RP with people from the states and the cities there are nothing close to where I live.

D&D was on recess? o_o

Oh, really? XD I think of LotR elves when I think tall elves! Just like humans, but with longer lifespans, an affinity with nature, and those pretty ears =3

Ahh. ouo I would pick somewhere like New York or London, simply because they have maps! Lol. I don't live anywhere near either; I'd use google maps to get around. P:
But making something up is fine as well.. If you'll allow me to map it. :ninja: Maps are your best friend, you know..

Yeah! TJ broke his collar bone and had to spend time inside and all the really geeky kids were playing D&D and took him to a massive comic book store. :') That's the stuff dreams are made of.

Aw, I totally forgot about the elves in LotR. /brainfart I actually still need to finish reading the book...

Every good place has a map! Even Treasure Island! :eager: Sure, I'm not overly artistic so go wild. C: As long as the city is close to a large body of water (that way we can have merpeople too) C:

... Sadly, I must admit that I still haven't read the books. D: I've just seen the movies. A lot.

Ohmy. So it would be kind of uncovering an entire hidden culture of fantastical creatures, not just one race? Oooh.
I can imagine the elves being the 'protectors' of this hidden-in-plain-sight realm. I'm getting excited.~

What age/stage in life would you want our human characters to be? Or did you mean that the entire city would find out about the fantasy culture? @3@
What I was thinking was a small group of friends would go 'too far' while exploring in the city, and stumble upon some kind of creature that would lead to them investigating.. finding this fantasy culture, and either being pulled into it or living as normal with adventures in said fantasy culture here and then.

Hm for the medieval portion I really like the King Henry VIII era in England and the senjoku period in japan, if you were thinking of something else please tell me ^^ for the fantasy I immediately thought of Holly Black's book Tithe, have you heard of it? Well I like that version of the fantasy world much better; a little dark and twisted. Gaah it's so hard to choice between them so maybe you could break the decision?

I loved Tithe! I can't exactly remember what it's about, but I have it. I can read a bit of it if you'd like?

I'd prefer a fantasy like that. :3

Yay! Did you read Ironside also? It's okay, I havent read it in a while either so I think we'll be fine. We have the basic idea right? All we need is a good plot line, did you have any in mind already?

Yes I have <3 I loved that one even more, lol. I'm a complete freak about these urban fae fantasies - I read them way too fast because I'm excited.. I should read them all again.

No, I didn't really have anything specific in mind. Nothing but what I was chatting about with Bucket. D:

Do you have any suggestion for me to read? I've been trying to find a good fantasy book but sadly my hunt has come up empty handed :( I mean I like reread book, but sometimes you miss the edgy feeling you get when you read something new. You feel me?

Hm, should we make it a group rp then? :O I just scrolled up and read some of the comment, if you guys need I have a couple made up maps ((Though I did not make them myself >_< I wish I was that creative)), and I don't mind labeling cities or areas. I just need to know how you guys would want it to be like, for example, what group reigns over certain territories or what interesting place might the kids find? Things of that nature.

Ahh, I can make maps <3 I make maps for D&D a lot, and I think it's really fun. P:

Hrm.. I'm not sure that I'm keen on group roleplays. :gonk: It seems logical, but.. It's just too much, for me at least.

Mkay that fine then :) Oooh you wanna keep the idea of the dark and light courts from Tithe? I love how the light queen was the chick that you just wanted to gore her eyeballs out with a spoon o___e uuh sorry if that sound really odd and graphic, it's just how I felt about her and her manipulative ways it's just...ARGH! We could use the idea, or we could come up with an original plot line if you'd like

Ahh. I'll have to re-read tithe if we did that. o__o
But, it sounds like a good idea. c:
So, it would be like,
young adults find fantasy world, slowly learn about two courts and how they rule over the fantasy culture?
Maybe intrigue with either a mortal or a member of one of the courts falling in love? @3@

Also, if you're looking for fantasy like Tithe and Ironside.. Hmmn. Bolded ones are the ones I remember the most - I took these from my reading history at the library. :3
I was a teenage fairy by Francesca Lia Block. - very sad!
Faerie wars by Herbie Brennan. - adventure, romance, and etc!
The hound of Rowan by Henry H. Neff. - similar to harry potter in that he goes to a magical school
Wicked lovely by Melissa Marr.
In the serpent's coils by Tiffany Trent.
Blackbringer by Laini Taylor. - full of adventure
Sabriel by Garth Nix. - Not exactly fae, but fantasy nonetheless! An amazing series.

Ooooh, me likie how you're brain works! Maybe corruption has fallen on both courts and outcome is their barrier around their lands have weaken, thus allowing humans to be able to cross. And said member and intruding human much figure out a way to repair the damages to protect the private world of fae? :O

*looks on amazon for some titles, immediately downloads Faerie Wars onto her kindle* Final I have a new book to put on it xD All that I had in there was hunger games .___. poor thing was neglected after I finished the books

Hm, maybe around 16-19 age range? Would you prefer being the human or the member of the court? Also what is your take on how things are run in the court, or how life is like living in each court.

I saw it was a series :O how many are there?

Ahh, I was thinking we'd both play multiple characters for this kind of roleplay ouo We'd both be humans in the start, and then maybe one of the human characters dies and it becomes just a human and one/more fantasy creatures.
Are you up for that?

Well, I'm really not sure what the difference between the courts would be.. You said light and dark, right? Is that like good and bad, or just night and day? lol
I'd think there would be two monarchs ruling over all.. I suppose court would be full of lies and pretending to get by. It would be essentially the monarchs in charge, with 'advisers' that may or may not be listened to..

I'm not sure.. Three or four books? I usually only read series. Stand-alones make me sad ;_;
