I may be repeating, sorry if so, but i saw the "what was your last concert", but didnt see the next version.

So who are you seeing next?

Or will it be a festival like me?

Im going to a small UK metal festival next week called Bloodstock Open Air, its in england if you're wondering.

About 12k fans at most go there, but i love it. Alice Cooper, moonsorrow, Freedom Call, Dimmu Borgir, Cthonic, and probably a lot of metal bands you may or may not know will be getting seen haha.

So, discuss!

That sounds like a lot of fun!

My next show is tomorrow. It's Taproot and Smile Empty Soul. Taproot are friends of mine so that's why I'm going. Smile Empty Soul is just a bonus.

I will be heading to T-ara's concert in October.

T-ara is a Korean band but lots of controversy has been surrounding them lately and they just lost a member =.=

And unfortunately another member got into a car accident yesterday and I hope that she's alright.

Just hope that they can go on tour and are fit to perform here...

I'm having a super hard time deciding between Big Day Out which has bands like Red Hot Chilli Peppers and a bunch of other bands I don't really remember because I don't care for them. I mainly just want to see Sleigh Bells and Crystal Castles.

But then theres My Bloody Valentine (Not Bullet for My Valentine, just clearing that up). They haven't toured Australia in 20 years and I like them more than Sleigh Bells AND Crystal Castles combined but the problem here is that no one I know is going and my friends are going to Big Day Out. It'll just be hard on my purse strings if I go by myself, ya know?

I'm not sure about concerts because although I don't have anything planned at the moment, I might get a last minute ticket or see a band. As for festivals, I'm planning going to Download next year which is a festival in England

I don't even know, it's probably going to be whatever band my friends end up booking in town. The other night I saw Life Exposed, Name Untaken, and a few others.... It's all about the local scene around here, there's not really any "big name" bands that I'm interested in that come through here unless I go up to Chicago. I think the next show I'm going to will have Our Lady and Modern Hearts, or maybe it's the Haunts, I confuse dates real easily. lol.

If all goes to plan my next concert will be Clyde Live 1, and although I couldn't give a shiny one about the other bands playing (Leona Lewis, Lawson, Labrinth etc) Calvin Harris is there and he's worth it! :')

Going to POP which is a New Years rave in San Francisco. Omg so stoked.. it's gonna be my second rave after going to EDC last June which was like, the best experience of my life.. ;_;

@ Vinyl: lol wtf what's Calvin Harris doing wasting his time playing with all those other people? But I hope you have a good time. I heard he has some sick sets but he didn't get to play during EDC 2012 because of the stupid wind storms. lolol

I usually attend a concert every week or once in two weekends xD There's a lot of small concerts, sometimes local bands, usually from my country. This week I'm seeing a friend's band and some other band from a nearby town, or at least I hope I'll attend it, cause I don't know yet where I'm gonna be on Saturday, haha!

Edit: Oh my god why don't I look at last post dates! I'm sorry for necroing the thread (I hope that's what you call it? huh)

That Big Day Out festival I was talking about? I never went, haha. Nor did I go to My Bloody Valentine which I'm very angry and upset over. I don't want to go into details, I can't be bothered!

My next possible festival to go to is Groovin' The Moo. The two bands I really want to see are Tame Impala and Tegan and Sara who I missed out a few years back who also came to Groovin' The Moo but I was not allowed to go to it because my parents are annoying. (They were part of the reason why I couldn't go to My Bloody Valentine.)

@ Wonderlands: Wow, that sucks.. what happened anyways?
I hope that you can catch MBV next time they tour (if they even do)~

It would be nice if they play more songs off Loveless, heh, love that album.

There were two reasons why I couldn't go. One was that the venue where they were playing at is in a relatively bad part part of the city where all the night clubs are etc and my mum has just heard stories about the area over the years and she is an absolutely overprotective with me so she wasn't happy with me going. At first she was like, just as long as you take someone with you it'll be okay if you go but then she just kind of backed out of that statement and just said, I don't want you going. I am 18 godammit! I appreciate that she wants to protect me but it's her constant worry and not letting me do things that make me too afraid to do things sometimes whether it's just going shopping sometimes.

The second part was that my friends had just moved to that city so I was going to stay with them. Because they just moved there with hardly any plans or money and were relying on centrelink/government money benefits to let them move and pay for rent they had close to no money so it'd be a bummer to stay with them and not doing anything because they couldn't afford it. I'd pay them for accommodation and whoever wanted to accompany me to the gig i'd pay for their ticket and travel to and from the venue but I didn't want to pay for them if we went anywhere like to the museum etc and their food (unless it was a home cooked thing) because I'm the one with the job here and not relying on the government to give me money. Now I'm getting off topic, haha.

So yeah had money for my ticket and someone else's, I had plane tickets lined up but it just never happened.. And yes, I hope I get to see them if they do next time!

Oh my god, did you see them?! :D

Aw, I see now. It's not exactly like you couldn't go, but overall it's just a big ol' pain in the ass.

Shouldn't exactly be going to the museum if you barely have enough money to pay rent.. haha. Off topic but I'm sure I would agree with you on your opinion on your buddies housing/money situation. :P

When MBV first started touring again (I think I must have been like 17 or 18 too) it was a similar situation. The main venue I go to is in a nice downtown area but the surrounding areas are completely ghetto, so I missed that. But with a new MBV album (haven't heard it yet) that totally means that I didn't miss my chance to see them. \o/
Never seen 'em, hope to in the future. *nod*

I wanna go to the Orion Music festival but not too sure if I can afford the $150 ticket cost.

Next concert is going to be Taproot again. XD Free tickets plus a good time is hard to pass up.

I got Bruce Springsteen tickets for free, so I'm going with my cousin. Not really into his music but they say it's an experience anyway. So hopefully it'll be fun.

I'm massively excited about that. They put on an awesome, high-energy show a couple years ago when they came through here.

Oh wow this is a super late reply haha.

I didn't end up seeing Calvin then because after I sat and thought about it it was a lot of money to spend for one artist that I wanted to see. I did however see Calvin Harris at T In The Park this year. I managed to get a ticket last minute so in the Friday after I saw the Proclaimers I went and camped down the front of the Radio 1 stage so I could get to the barrier for Calvin since I've been a massive fan of his since 2007 (which I did manage to). I really wish I didn't though because he was so disappointing live. He played about five songs from 18 Months and one from Ready For The Weekend and all the other songs he played were current chart songs or 90s dance music. I have never been more disappointed in an artist live than I was with him.

Anyway my next concert is The Darkness in November
