The Dragon Keeper

In the land of Genesisa, the humans have control of the town and are very happy as well. The king and queen are proud of what they have taught their people how to get kind and peaceful to each other. Unfortunately, there is someone that has fun feasting on the humans of the town, a cannibal is coming to the town and eating someone. The king and queen became upset with this thinking that the dragon of the elements is to blame for this. She is the one that has been protecting the humans for over 900 years and has never really harmed the humans. The king and queen send some of the best knights to patrol the town until this was settled. However, the dragon seen this happening and plans to help the humans and clean her name from this cannibal monster. The dragon is almost never seen and only heard, lucky few say that the dragon is actually very lovely and kind hearted. Very few humans and knights have seen her in her human form, which is said to be incredibly beautiful.

The Great Knights of the King and Queen watch the outer part of the town watching for whatever it is that is killing the people of Genesisa. Until a strange visitor comes and starts acting more and more stranger as she goes closer and closer to the castle of the King and Queen. Can the Knights and the people of Genesisa find the real reason for the death of the humans or will they continue to blame the dragon?

Bio: Polaris is the Elemental Dragon and the creator of everything. It is said the the Elemental Dragon is the strongest and most powerful of all dragons and is to be worshiped for all the things she did for the humans. The humans had done this for hundreds of years and respected her for it, however that changed when a cannibal appeared and started eating the humans, making them blame her. She starts becoming worried and goes to Genesisa to prove her innocence once and for all.

Bio: Sigurd was found one day at the gates of the town and has been under the care of the royal family since, he can remember always being a simple port and also a general house cleaner, basically anything and everything they needed. Even now in the time of uncertainty he was confined to the castle unless it was to go get groceries. He practices every day with a sword and with his power though he cant do it when hes in public, since the royal family doesn't believe a simple servent of theirs should have any power or the ability of the knights to fight. The only one who knows of his power is a older man, the palace wizard, who he considers his father, because the old man cared for him and helped him grow up with some semblance of education. Though his education is mainly of how the town works and also a small amount of the past history though its missing bits.

After a long yelling match between the king and queen their attention was turned to the young man cleaning the floor, and the yelling turned into barking orders at Sigurd. He stood still and silent no matter how much they yelled he had to, or he wouldn't have a place to stay anymore. Now a days the king and the queen always seemed to be in a bad mood and now they were yelling but all they wanted was some groceries to be gotten since a few things were missing from the last cart brought to the castle. Sigurd knew he would have to go to the market before this escalated to a war between the king and his wife.

As soon as they had stopped yelling he slipped out, "Ok eggs, bread, tomatoes, and.... and... oh crap what was it? Oh thats right mushrooms!" he said to himself as he walked down the stairs towards the large doors. He grabbed a basked and walked slowly out the doors shielding his eyes from the harsh sunlight for just a moment before walking out into the streets towards the market.

A young girl with long flowing light brown hair that was a few inches above the ground, two big white hair ribbons on the sides of her head just seem to be the same length as her hair. The clothes she wore were the same colors that the village nuns would wear but the clothes themselves were a long sleeved that swayed at her sides, her legs were covered with a strange material. Black tights with dull blue armor like plates on the thighs on this girl. The only thing that was strange about this girl was her eyes which was a silver and black and her breasts were larger than the normal girl. This girl's name is Polaris Silverwing and she was the Elemental Dragon that created everything. She she walked down the path and approached the game, two knights stopped her, "State your business miss." he said trying to look at her face but his eyes kept falling onto her chest, "Don't worry, I won't hurt you. I'm here to visit is all. May I go in please?" Polaris asked as she clamped her hands together and smiled softly at the knights. The Knights looked at each other and couldn't refuse her question, "Of course, go right in." the other knight said as he stepped aside to let her in.

"Thank you." she said with a smile and giggled while she skipped away, her chest jumped up and down with her as she continued to skip. Polaris stopped and looked around, she blushed pink from the sunlight and found a bench to sit on. She sat down and folded her legs to watch the humans watch by and some of the men looking at her, or her breasts. A smile came on her face as she looked at the sky and seen the sun was setting, 'I just have to wait and see what happens.' she thought to herself and watched the sun and humans.

The market was bustling with people, everyone yelling for one thing or another, an Sigurd flowed with the crowd passing up the egg vendor twice before he could finally stop to grab some eggs. The process repeated over and over as he moved through the market smiling as he did, he loved being away from the castle and its masters, it was the only time he got peace and the ability to just plain rest. He grabbed everything he needed then quickly stepped from the crowd looking up and taking a deep breath. His breath was cut short by dust making him cough as a group of men on horse back rode though the town. "Damn knights, always getting to do the fun things." he said scowling after them as he meandered through town.

He knew he had time before he had to get back, all he needed to do was be back by sunset before the doors were locked. As he looked up once again he sighed, "I always wanted to leave here, you know?" he said as he knelt down in the street petting a stray dog and looking around. "but with this dragon running around i doubt anyone should be out." he said normally not noticing the people around. He sighed heavily once more as he heard the gates to the city shutting and the bustling of people moving to their houses. As he ran back to the castle he noticed out of the corner of his eye a young lady who wasn't moving to get to a house or anywhere, though he should have noticed the small rock infront of him. He hit the ground hard, his basket flying from his hands and landing on the ground, Sigurd winced as he heard the unmistakable sound of eggs breaking and then the ground under the basket get wet for a second before the dry ground soaked the liquid up. "Oh crap!" he said as he ran to his basket picking up everything that had fallen out. "Lady!! you need to get inside theres dragons and monsters about at night!" he yelled over to his side where this young lady was sitting on a bench. though he hadn't gotten a good look at her, he could see she still hadn't moved and the streets were already emptying.

Polaris watched as the sun continued to set and the human started to walk quickly to their homes. She wasn't surprised that they were but it was strange how the humans could think that it was her who killed the humans of this town, she was the Elemental Dragon and the one who created them all. Why would she want to kill the humans? Polaris watched the humans more until one of them caught her eyes, she watched the male trip and fall on the food he got earlier. She giggled softly at him as he quickly gathered the food and seen her. The man spoke to her saying that it wasn't safe, she smiled softly and stood up slowly. Polaris stretched lightly and walked to the man and picked up an apple that he missed, "It looks like you're in a mighty hurry. I'm new to the town may I ask what is going on?" she asked in a soft and sweet voice as the sun went down and the night cky slowly started to appear. Polaris looked at her pendant that glowed dimly as she looked at the man with a smile.

Sigurd sat up brushing his pants off as he gingerly grabbed the apple from the ladies hand. He hadn't gotten a good look at her until he fully stood up and he was slightly stunned. "Um.. Well theres been attacks here my lady, lately at night theres been killings and theres been some rumors, that the dragon has returned to wreck vengeance on us." He said absently as he checked his basket and then looked back at the woman. "If you don't have a place to go i can hide you for tonight in the castle where i live... its not safe out here." he said blushing slightly and trying not to look at the woman in the face. He had noticed how she looked very different from everyone else in town and defiantly wasn't from the town. "But you would have to hurry the gates to the castle are closing really soon.. " he said as he started walking towards the castle at a slightly increased pace.

Polaris looked at the man as she tilted her head at him curiously. She was fascinated how much he knew of the rumors and maybe get some information out of him. She frowned a little when she heard him say that the Dragon might come back for vengeance, 'Vengeance? I have no reason to be anger with you humans. Why would I want vengeance?' Polaris thought to herself as she continued to look at him. She tilted her head more as he tried not to look at her in the face, 'What an odd little human.' she thought to herself as she smiled when he invited her to the castle since she was 'new' to the town, "I'd love to. That is if you do not get in trouble." she said getnly taking the man's hand and walked, "By the way, my name is Polaris. What is your name and what do you know about The Dragon?" she asked curiously. This was something she wanted to know, she and the humans had gotten along for so long why would she attack them, she wanted to heard their reason. A softl smile came on her face as she walked with the man.

Sigurd was surprised when the girl took his hand and blushed heavily but continued towards the large castle doors. "Well there isn't a day i dont get in trouble... its one of the gifts of being in service to the king and queen." he said chuckling sadly and then pulling the girl a little faster though still walking. "Well.. im Sigurd, and about the dragon mainly only what ive been told from the palace wizard, but from what ive heard there was many dragons. Then one day war raged between humans and its said there was is the most terrifying of all dragons and she is the one who created us and now frowns upon us and wants to rid the world of her failure of a creation." he said embellishing the story which the wizard had told him just a bit. "But then again... i've never seen a dragon and even though half our knights are off looking to fight them to see which is attacking us, there is supposedly many dragons, i dont really know if id believe that they were real.. the wizard said he knows one... but between me and you he's a little crazy." Sigurd said smiling as they reached the gate and he winked at one of the guards as they passed though. He let out a sigh of relief as the doors slammed shut behind them. Quickly Sigurd led polaris down a few corridors towards the servants quarters, "Sorry miss that i can't offer you better quarters, this is all i got." he said as he opened a door next to the wizards quarters.

Polaris listened to Sigurd talk about the Elemental Dragon and how terrifying she was compared to the other dragons. A small frown appeared on her face as they made there way to the palace, 'Am I really that scary?' she asked herself ass he looked at the ground and continued to listen to him about the wizard that he is currently living with and how he knows a dragon. Polaris had to think for a moment about that, did she know a human that long ago. She would really come down and check on the humans and see if they're doing anything wrong which was almost never. Polaris continued to listen until they were in the castle of the lower corridors where the servants slept, "I don't mind, I actually think this will be comfy but may I ask if I may meet this wizard caretaker of yours?" she asked gently sitting on one of the beds and crossed her legs. The bed was a little hard but it still had some bounce in it, causing her breasts to jump a little. Polaris leaned back at little as her dragon necklace shined a little in the light as if there was a tiny light in the sphere of the necklace.

Sigurd placed his basket down and shuffled around his room a bit, "Um well i guess you can meet him hes next door, i have to get changed and i have to go to the kitchen, and get the food ready." He said not looking around but hearing her sitting down on his bed. "Um if you dont mind ill go to the corner for a minute and change." He said moving to a small curtain which was actually his shower and pulled it before changing. He paused from putting on his as he touched the now blue glowing scar, 'its never done that before.. well recently its been faint but never like this..' he thought looking at it and prodding it slightly. he looked up at the curtain and suddenly noticed a slight glow from the other side, quickly he put on his shirt and pulled the curtain back starring at the necklace for a split second. Suddenly he noticed where the necklace was located and he blushed looking away, "Nice necklace... its glowing just so you know." he said thinking it had to just be a gem inside.

Polaris blinked a little confused as she listened to Sigurd say that the wizard was next and that he was going to go change. Stretching and groaning softly, she watched him step to the back and say that he will have to go cook some food for the royal King and Queen and the knights. A light sigh escaped her lips as she looked around the room and seen the size of the room was nothing compared to the size of the room a royal person would have. She growled faintly and gasped when she seen Sigurd looking at her, she tilted her head and noticed that he was looking at her chest where her necklace was, "Oh well thank you, I...actually, made it myself a long time ago. I didn't even know that it was glowing actually." she said giggling as she then noticed a faint glow coming from him but quickly vanished. Curious, Polaris got up and walked the curtain and tried to look for the glow of the thing she saw, "Odd, I thought I was something glow for a minute there." she said standing on her tip toes and tried to look in the certain but she tripped over something and ended up falling on Sigurd with a small shriek and managed to stop herself from hitting the floor but ended up making Sigurd do a face plant in her chest, "Oops, I'm so sorry." she said nervously feeling a little pain in her back and legs.

Sigurd hadn't been paying attention and he absentmindedly mumbled, "It's just my shoulder, nothing bad." he practically whispered before the commotion of falling, "Oh god." he said as they fell and then he closed his eyes. When he opened his eyes he blushed and gasped slightly, "Its ok.. sorry.. i didn't, i mean sorry.. gah.." he said as he shuffled himself up and stood looking slightly frightened since he had never actually even touched a girl and he had just been right between her chest. "Sorry that was my fault.. the glow was... well nothing really." he said smiling, and lying the wizard had told him to keep the scar hidden, looking away quickly his face beat red. "Um.. i should go... get food ready.. if you can convince the wizard you may be able to eat with the wizard at the king and queen's table." he said taking a deep breath as he looked back at her and blushed again thinking about what had just happened. "I hope you dont mind me leaving quickly if i dont get cooking... i dont get... well hit." he said smiling slightly and then he grabbed the basket and ran out the door towards the kitchen.

Polaris watched as Sigurd quickly got up blushing as red as a beet and walked with the basket in hand to the kitchen to cook for the royals. A smile escaped her lips as she stood up and walked next door to the wizard room. "He-Hello? I-Is it ok if I come in. My name is Polaris and I'm here to see the wizard. I'm sorry for bothering you if your busy." she said softly and sweetly as she remembered what Sigurd said about if he didn't cook then he would get hit, a soft growl escaped her lips and gasped lightly as she heard something on the door, "He-Hello?" she said softly again placing her hands over her pendant.

Sigurd walked quickly to the kitchen and apologized to the main cook profusely as he placed the basket on the table and got to work on the food. He was always set at the same job cleaning vegetables and getting the food plated. He smiled letting his mind drift as he thought a bit about what had just happened, though he kept snapping himself out of the day dreams due to the main cook walking around and doing other things.

The wizard sat at his bench looking at all his instruments and trying to make a new little spell to help ease the King and Queens stress. As he was just about to put in an extract when there was a noise at the other side of the door making him drop the ingredient all over the table, "Gah.. people come here.. they.. grrr." he mumbled. Flustered he got up and walked slowly, due to his age, over to the door. He grumbled as he opened the door, "What is i.i.i.i.i... Hello? and you are?" he said suddenly taken aback from the woman who was at his door. "Please come in." he said moving to the side still surprised, he had never seen anyone like her around there.

Polaris smiled at the wizard and walked in the room to see all kinds of bottles and beakers with strange sustains in them. She smiled at the Wizard's kindness toward her, "Thank you for showing me your kindness toward me Sir Wizard. iI hope I didn't interrupt you with something important." she said softly slowly walking around as her silver and back eyes observed the area that she was surrounded with and suddenly saw the mess that was created. "Oh my dear, I'm so sorry. Did I make this mess? He-Here, I'll fix this right away." she said softly as she moved her hand over the mess and cleaned in up quickly while her pendant glowed lightly. "There, all better." she said with a giggle and rocked back and forward slowly. Her chest slowly moved with her like it always did.

The wizard bowed slightly and then he closed the door behind her, "Oh its no problem i was just making some thi...." he started to say then was cut short as he saw the mess clean itself up and so quickly, "I havent seen someone be able to do something that quick ever... i can control fire a bit but nothing like that... who are you?" he said walking over to the mess and looking at the table hard trying to figure out how she did it. He turned around quickly and squinted analyzing her over and over, he would be lying if hdidnt pause a few times at her chest but he kept going till he noticed the necklace. "You...You..your.... you're a d...d...d.dragon!" he said excited, but then his face dropped to almost fear. "Is it you who is killing people, have you come to kill me, the KIng and Queen?!" he said wide eyed. He was scared but then he calmed down, "Im sorry as an old man i am more susceptible to rumors.... i knew a dragon once.. they died when knights ran into it and killed it... all because it took some sheep." he said sadly and he bowed to the girl, "Forgive me." he muttered.

Polaris gasped lightly when the wizard started asking her questions and seem to be panicking. She became worried a little but relaxed when he explained that he knew a dragon and bowed in respect to her. Polaris smiled softly and walked to the wizard and gently placed her hands on the side of his face, "I am not a dragon Sir Wizard. I am the Dragon. My name is Polaris and I am the Elemental Dragon that created everything." she said softly then slowly lifted the wizard up. "And the answer is no. I am not here to kill anyone, I am here to clear my name. I have been good to the humans and killing them is beyond my mind. The dragons of the North, South, East and West have told me about the creature that is really killing the humans and is using my name. No one suspects me to be The Elemental Dragon and I plan to speak to the King and Queen as a human and as a fake Representative on my behalf." she said softly in her sweet voice and leaned on the table as if she was too weak and sat down then looked at the wizard. "Sir Wizard, I beg of you to not tell anyone of this, not even Sigurd. I must keep my presence hidden until that creature attacks again." Polaris held her arms and looked at him with a great sadness in her eyes.

The old wizard smiled softly when he heard who she was, "I understand, i would be careful though the king an queen are always suspicious, but im sure i can pass you off as something like new student." he said bowing again and turning to his fire and grabbing a pot, "Tea?" he asked but was already pouring for her. he didn't even think about it a he handed it to her then turned around, "If you are the elemental dragon i can only ask you to be careful with Sigurd, hes... shall we say special... when i found him at the gates he was just a baby, hes different, he has some weird things, a scar on his shoulder it glows when hes near other things... like you, and hes got powers like me, though he has to hide them, other wise he'd be thrown out of here." he said running around his room in the firelight and just grabbing books and fiddling with his instruments. "I'm afraid hes a monster slayer or what ever that old book said it wasn't that exactly but it mentioned an old race of man who were there to rid the world of monsters but they were eliminated they said by the dragons, but any ways .. i read in on of my books,... where is it... oh well, but it said there were people born with a mark made to defend against monsters and dragons, but an old man with books is subject to an old imagination of times past." he said as he kept rummaging around and eventually he came to rest at his glass vases. "Though i would like you to come to dinner if you are to talk to the King and Queen young lady you'll get to from there." he said as he sighed and sat down on a rickety old stool. "Well when your ready we can leave for the dinning room, just lead the way and ill follow.. im sure you can find the way."

Polaris gasped lightly and slowly looked at the ground to remember the glow that appeared by Sigurd, is he really a monster slayer and would he try to kill her? Then again Polaris couldn't really die. If she could died then that would mean the end of everything, the dragons, the humans, even the little creatures that she adored. She looked at the Wizard and smiled softly as he spoke about talking to the King and Queen and dinner, "I'd love to Sir Wizard and I am feeling a little hungry. Come with me and if you wish, would like for me to prove I'm the Elemental Dragon by turning into my true but a little more, um, smaller?" she asked slowly putting two finger close together and giggled at the old Wizard. "But if you do not wish to I understand." Polaris said softly as she then walked to the door and started to turn the door knob to walk out.

The old wizard stood slowly, "I think that it is quite alright if you don't, i cant take another scare at my age." he said chuckling as he slowly walked out the door following Polaris, "My girl, how did you find Sigurd? it's quite interesting that he would run into you of all people.. i mean thing.. i mean dragons.." he said blushing slightly as he took the stairs slowly. As they passed the kitchen the old man peaked in an smirked, as he pulled his head out he chuckled taking the girls arm and leading her to the dining room, "You made quite an impression on the boy.. hes lost in his own world in there, and i bet its you who made that happen.... a young girl showing up and talking to him." he said patting her hand and arm as they entered the dining room and he took his place at the table and ushering the girl to sit before the King and Queen came in.

Sigurd smiled and was lost in his world as he cooked, now stirring the soup of the main course till the main cook told him to start plating and he frantically plated. When he finished he carried out the soups and placed them on the table before the King and Queen came out blushing slightly when he saw the girl sitting at the table and placed the soup next to her lightly before having to run back to the kitchen right as the King and Queen entered.

Polaris smiled at the Wizard as he said the Sigurd was in his own world which was due to her. A soft smile remained in her lips as she sat down and seen Sigurd walk to her and get her soup next to her. Polaris then snapped her head to the door seeing the King Martin and Queen Beatrice walking in the dinning room. The Queen looked a little younger than the king but they looked about the same age. "Marvelous, dinner is done. Compliments to the cooks." she said softly as she sat down and watched as her husband sat down next to her calmly. "How is this young lady? Is she with you Wizard?" King Martin asked tilting his head at the odd girl that sat next to the wizard. Martin looked at the way the girl was dressed and how large her your upper body was compared to the average girl at her age. Polaris stood up and gave a little curtsy even though she had no dress, "My name is Polaris and I am one of Sir Wizard's new students." she said softly and quickly sat back down. The dragon pendant was quickly hidden underneath her shirt to hid the fact that she was the dragon, she leaned closer to the Wizard and became to whisper, "May I ask why Sigurd or anyone else is joining us for dinner?" she asked, trying to act like a normal human girl which wasn't really easy since this was the first time in a long time that she was in her human form.

The old wizard smiled and nodded his head as King Martin and Queen Beatrice walked in and sat down, "Ill give them the compliments my Queen, and this young lady is as she says my student, she came to me last night as a student of the Great Elemental Dragon, and asked to be taken in to learn more and i graciously accepted." he said bowing his head then shakily starting to eat his soup. When Polaris leaned over and whispered he shook his head, " The King and Queen do not let many others sit at their table, i do and my student, but never a servent especially a porter or cook, like Sigurd, its disrespectful to them, he might get the scraps.. its why i leave my bowl half empty every night." he whispered back winking slightly at polaris and smiling like a mischievous old man. "My King and Queen, my new student does have things to ask of you, she has heard the rumors and would like your input if you are humble enough to give her." he said placing his bowl aside as he raised his hand to signal for the next meal.

Sigurd watched the meal sighing, he couldn't hear the conversations, but he was nervous that he would get in trouble for bringing Polaris into the castle. He didn't have long to think before he saw the wizards hand and he quickly ran back inside grabbing the next dish and bringing it out on a tray. He kneeled down and bowed his head at the side between the King and Queen waiting for them to take their plates so he could serve the others. As soon as two plates were taken for the King and Queen he stood still bowing and keeping his mouth shut went to the wizard and polaris placing their food infront of them before walking away quickly back into the kitchen. As soon as he was in the kitchen he rolled his shoulder trying to ease the light throbbing that was right where the scar was.

Martin and Beatrice heard the wizard speak and say that she was the 'representative' or student of The Elemental Dragon. They froze in their chairs and looked at the young Polaris, "You're a student of The Great Elemental Dragon? Th-That's impossible sh-she ca-can't exist. No one has ever seen her." Martin said as he slowly looked at the food and slowly stated to eat. Beatrice gasped lightly, "This is a joke. Correct?" she asked as Polaris shook her head. "It is no joke your majesties, I am the student of our Creator and she seems to be a little upset with the fact that the humans believes she's killing them." she said with a smile and ate some of her food, "We saw her. She nearly killed his. That creature even said that it was the Elemental Dragon." Beatrice said with a scold voice. 'So I'm known as 'that creature' or are they referring to the thing that attacked them.' Polaris thought to herself as she then looked at the Wizard then gasped lightly when her dragon pendant started glowing again, 'Wh-What the? Why is it glowing?' thought as she gently lifted the necklace to look at it.

The old wizard watched the exchange and chuckled to himself softly till he saw the young girl get slightly angry, "The beast you have seen your majesty is not the dragon, the creator, that i can guarantee." he said smiling as he sat forward slightly. He caught the girls movements and turned towards her, "My Lady are you ok do you need to retreat back to your quarters?" he asked worried about the glow in her necklace. The old wizard looked up and to the windows, "I believe tonight will be a bad night, the sky is dark and the rain is falling, a storm gives perfect cover for the beast." he said sighing as he left his food and stood up, pacing slightly in the room.

Sigurd was walking around the kitchen when he dropped the knife he had been carrying and fell to the floor, his body resting against the wall and he clutched his shoulder. The pain was more intense then most nights, tonight it seemed to be radiating from his shoulder all over his arm. "Ahh.. garrhhh." he muttered as he clutched his shoulder and shuffled on the floor to the corner so he could prop himself a bit. "Somethings wrong.. its never." he said trying to stand but barely managed to prop himself against the wall in a sitting position. Sigurd looked around and cursed to himself below his breath, the cook had left, leaving him to clean up so he was there alone.

Beatrice and Martin both looked at the Old Wizard, "Then What do you think it is?" the queen asked him as she watched lean toward Polaris. Polaris gasped lightly and looked at the wizard and shook her head as she watched him paste in the room talking about the night. Polaris looked at her food and became a little worried about the storm. She stood up slowly and watched as the rain fell, 'This isn't good. It never is.' she thought to herself until she heard Sigurd in the kitchen, walking into the kitchen she seen him on the wall. "Sigurd, are you ok?" Polaris asked running to his side and kneeled next to him. The King and Queen watched Polaris run into the kitchen so suddenly as if it were urgent then looked out the window, "I only pray that no one will be taken tonight." he said in a low voice walking to the window and looked outside.
