The Forest of Moss

The Forest of Moss is an ancient, lost place. Tucked away deep in the feared Mountains of the East, the forest works it's strange magic. Creatures of the simple type -game and such- do live and wander there, but nothing else that knows of its existance dares even speak of it. The forest is a dark place with a writhing power that lurks deep within its roots. Because no one speaks of it, no one know truly what kind of magic lives in the forest. Many, in silent and brief thoughts, think that it is the trees that control the forest. Others think that maybe a Grand Dryad lives at the forest's center. But in all reality, no one knows, and no one ever will.

And this is where you come in, dear friend.

The Forest of Moss is a lonely place. It wants the company of creatures that are more than game. But since no creature of said sort ventures into the forest's soft grounds upon it's own free will, the forest summons them to it's wood.
The forest has used it's strong and strange magic on your being and transported you. Look all you might, but there will be no exit. So enjoy your new life in the Forest of Moss, friend, because there is no escape from it.

Rules
1. Follow Mene ToS
2. Be respectful and nice to other roleplayers
3. If you lose interest in the RP, please try and make your character forever lost or dead or something. But it really sucks when people just disappear from RPs and everyone else can't move on.
4. Try and post a nice chunk of text if you can. Gets you more gold and gives us more to work with :D
5. Please use proper grammar. No text-speak
6. Romance/drama/violence is all okay, just keep it PG-13.
7. Have fun!

Profiles and Posting
The rules here are very simple: on your first post, include a profile of who your character is. It does not have to be a fancy profile if you don't want it to be. But it would be really nice if you at least included the name of your character, their age, race and appearance. Other than that, post away!

Name: Twist
Race: Unknown, Probably elven.
Age: Looks 18, real age forgotten with time
Appearence: Twist is 5'6'' and very thin. While her chest isn't what most men would call gracious, the slender curves her frame has givees her a certain appeal. Her skin is tinted green, but the green is darker at all the pointy parts of her body, like her shoulders, elbows and knees. Her eyes are completely black and a bit larger than normal-sized eyes. Her lips are always slightly parted because she cannot close her mouth all the way due to her long pointed teeth. Her tongue is black.Twist's fingers are very long and are topped with long black nails that are very strong and pointed. They look almost like claws. Her hair is a mess of brown hair and twigs. However, it is not messy from neglect. Twist purposely does it up that way and adornes it with flowers. Her ears are long and pointed with various little nicks in them from where she has gotten into the scraps with the local wildlife. She wears a small array of animal pelts, but not much. Around her neck dangles a thin gold chain with a simple cirlce pendant. This is all Twist has left from her old life.
Brief Bio: Twist has been in the Forest of Moss for longer than she can remember. She remembers nothing of her life before the forest and only has her gold chain to remind her that she wasn't born there. However, she is no master or guide of the forest. It is still as strange to her as the first day she arrived. She has no home and simple wanders about the forest in search of food, entertainment and places to sleep for the night.

Twist sat in the mossy nook the treeroots had made. She was looking up at the blue sky and counting the clouds.
"Six, seven, eight," she pointed to them as she counted, "night, ten, eleven..." she stopped there. She had been counting clouds for a long time. This was the fifth time she had to start over and it was starting to bore her. Everything bored her now. Nothing new had happened in a long time. The forest had even kept it's pathways for the past couple days.
"Twist wishes that there was someone she could talk with." Twist said as she sighed. The Forest had no summoned anyone fore a long time. The last people it has summoned had either gotten so lost that even Twist coudl not find them, or had died. Or were killed.
"Did Twist kill one of them?" she asked herself as she tried to remember. Memory didn't serve her well here, so her's wasn't so good, "Maybe Twist did.. But why would it matter anymore? Even if Twist did not kill one of them, Twist is still alone..." sadness fell on her like it always did. Twist knew there had to be others int he Forest of Moss. No everyone died. Some people just got lost and were never found again. Twist liked to think that somewhere in the forest there was someone like her, wanting company just liek she did and that one day they would meet and have a great time together until they got lost again. Daydreams were all Twist had anymore.

(( Hope you don't mind me jumping in. o .o ))

Name: Dremnior
Race: Centaur (Cavalier/Battle breed, variation Archer)
Age: Appears to be around his twenties, although it's hard to determine as his kind do not usually bother keeping track of their ages.
Appearance: Visual reference. Dremnior stands at 6'2" and weighs at around 2,500 pounds. As an Archer, he is not packed full of muscles like the Warrior breeds are, but is more focused on speed and agility, and thus, slimmer. His fur is black, but tinged with red when standing under light, with a deep crimson mane, while his eyes are yellow with a horizontal pupil, much like that of a goat's. His 'bow' is a part of him, as are his arrows, hardened pieces of calcium produced by his body, though he also carries ones crafted from wood as there is a limit of how much calcium he could spare from his body after all. Various parts of his body are also covered in calcium armor grown from his body, as part of his natural defenses. They are thinner and less protective as that of a Warrior's, but are still quite durable. It is due to the extensive need of calcium that his diet has become almost that of a carnivore's, requiring vast amounts of bone and shell to consume. The only decoration on his body is a painted tribal mark representing his pack, in the shape of a bloody hand print but in white, smeared down across his chest.
Brief bio: Dremnior was out hunting for the pack, alone, when a strange wind had flung him down a steep hill. By the time he managed to find his bearings again he was inside the strange forest, surrounded by trees and covered in dead leaves. He has been wandering around looking for a way out and back to his pack ever since.

------

The rabbit made a high-pitched squeal when the arrow struck and pinned it against a tree. It struggled for a few seconds before going limp. Moments later, Dremnior entered the clearing and trotted over to the dead creature, pulling out the arrow and returning it to his arm. No sense wasting any ammunition, after all. Shifting the plates covering his face aside to reveal a mouth filled with a combination of sharp and dull teeth developed specifically for crunching and grinding through bones and shell, he began devouring his meal.

It wasn't a bad meal by any means, but after several months of rabbit, the centaur was thoroughly sick of its taste. Occasionally he found eggs, which were a welcome change, but he missed seafood the most. His pack used to roam near the sea, and the non-battle members of their pack would go and harvest many types of shellfish, crabs, and other produce from the waters. They provided an excellent amount of calcium, which all members of his kind needed, and the naturally salt-flavored taste was sublime. Now he was stuck in a forest, with only birds, rabbits, sometimes deer, and eggs to eat. Scowling, Dremnior swished his tail around in agitation. Months and still no closer to getting out of the forest. He had even made sure to head in the same direction consistently for days on end using the sun as his guide, yet still somehow manage to wind up going around in circles. He also had a nagging suspicion that the forest changed every day, when trees or other plantlife soemtiems appeared or disappeared from where they previously stood.

Finished with the rabbit, he shifted his facial plates back down over his face and trotted off, deciding to simply pick a random direction this time and see where he'd end up. So far he had not run across any hostile creatures in the forest, but he kept his guard up nonetheless. Maybe, even though he didn't keep his hopes up, maybe today he'd finally be able to get away from this blasted forest once and for all.

((Not at all, welcome ))

Twist stood from her mossy nook and streched her now stiff joints, "Twist should go look for a friend." she said to herself as she looked up at the sky and at the soft green forest around her, "No use sitting here and feeling bad for herself." and with that decision, she turned around to face the tree she had previously been sitting under and she clung to it's soft bark, climbing up the truck and into the branches.
Above the normal set of branches one could easily see from looking up, was a set of intertwining branches that made the forest's second set of pathways. These were by what means Twist travled about the forest. It was the safest in those branches. Predators didn't climb up so high because it was hard to pounce on prey through all the leaves, and it gave Twist the perfect vantage point from which to see the foest below her.

Twist travled for many, many miles of forest on her search. She passed few the ocasional familiar grove or over a stream she knew the source of, but as usual, much of what she saw was very new to her. Twist knew that if one travled randomly, one would find one's way. In a manner of speaking of course. The was no exit from the forest. Just loss. But if one wanted to find something that was in the forest, one only needed to move like the forest did and they would evenutally find it.
This point was proven to Twist when she heard the squealing of a rabbit. No predator she new of in the forest would allow it's prey to make so much noise before consuming it. So with a smile on her lips and a glow in her eye, Twist headed towards the sound, "Thank you." she whispered under her breath to the forest. She knew that if she didn't thank the forest for the friend it had brought her, it would bring her an enemy next time instead.

Twist came to a slow stop as she reached the clearing the squeal had come from. She got there just in time to watch the strange creature that stood there finish it's meal and close it's face. Twist looked at it with large, curious black eyes. She had never seen a creature such as that before. It had strange scales on it's hide. Scales she had seen before on the large scaly creatures with wings that breathed fire. She had also seen hide on many a predator in the forest. But never a combination such as this. And it's stature... Twist was not sure what to make of it. Four legs? Two arms? Hooves and a face very simmilar to her own? Twist was no sure what to think of the beast. But what she did know whas that she would have to be careful. The forest was a tricky thing and some times brougth her enemies in the guise of friends. This would not be the first time.
So Twist decided to follow the strange creature from her high perch in the twisted branches. She watched and followed as it made turns where it pleased and searched. Twist knew that it would not find what it was looking for: an exit. "Maybe Twist should help..." Twist spoke in her quietest voice, biting her black- and green-tinged lips, thinking to herself. "Yes. Twist should help." And with that she made her way carefully down to the forest floor behind the creature.
"That's not the way." she said, crouching on the soft mossy floor, ready to spring right back up into the branches if this creature was in fact something that meant to do her harm, "There is no way." her bright black eyes looked up at the creature and she tried to express every sign of truth and honesty that she could remember. Twist didn't want her new friend to think she was lying to it. Then it wouldn't be her friend anymore...

((I hope more people join. o 3o))

Dremnior spun around at the voice, his bow arm immediately leveled towards its source for attack, legs poised ready to either charge or leap back against the potential danger. His mouth was twisted in a snarl as he growled inwardly at himself for not sensing the creature approaching until it...she, he mentally corrected, spoke. He noticed the tense position the green-colored biped with pointed ears was in, her eyes wary and alert, but not hostile. He didn't allow himself to relax, however. One never knew if it was just a clever ruse to get him to lower his guard before striking.

His other arm hovering behind the bow-arm, ready to shoot at a moment's notice, Dremnior took a step forward. "No way to where?" He asked, all the while warily scanning the area for signs of other possible presences, but never taking his eyes off from the strange creature for more than a second. One of his hooves pawed the ground in agitation, splattering the moss-covered forest floor with specks of brown from the upturned soil. The green creature with brown hair looked almost like a plant...but not, at the same time. her colors made her perfect for blending in with the forest's environment. "Are you a native here?" She was the first creature he's come across so far that knew how to speak, and he needed information to help him understand the bizarreness of the forest. Maybe she could tell him more about the workings of this place.

((Me too..))

Twist did her best no to jump back in fright when the creature spun around, it's weapon aimed at her. She bit her lip again and waited for it's response. When it spoke, Twist's eyes lit up with joy. She watched as it moved and how it moved, learning more about it that simply.
"Out. There is no way out. Twist knows. Twist has tried." she said, very carefully moving towards it as it moved towards her, "Twist is native to the forest. But Twist does not know the forest. Twist knows that will be your next question. Nope. Twist is just as lost as you are." she was still on all fours, still ready to leap back into the high branches is it did decide to shoot her with it's weapon. "Native" was a term Twist had become familliar with. She lived inthe forest, many thought she looked like it too. So they called her "native" and that was what she was to them.
Twist slowly stood now, coming to her full height as she looked curiously at the creature. She coud see now that it's weapon was it's arm. Or as least.. that was what it looked like, "Twist wants to know: what are you? The forest has never brought a creature like you to Twist before.." she was now standing at the tip of his bow, looking at it with very curious black eyes. She was looking at the scales and how they attached to the creature's hide. Nothing about her said predator. In fact, Twist did very much look like prey.

Dremnior let out a breathy hiss of annoyance, the sound echoing oddly off the insides of his facial plates. He did not want to believe that he was truly stuck in this forest, forever. He did not want to be stuck, surrounded by nothing but trees and moss and fungi and the humidity in the air for the rest of his, rather considerably long, life. The thought that the creature was lying flashed through his mind, but she appeared to be speaking the truth. Then again, she did not appear to be entirely sane either...who referred to themselves in third person, anyway?

Lowering his bow slightly, but still positioned in a way that he could attack with a moment's notice if anything went wrong, he said, "I am Dremnior, of the Sheshou clan. A centaur." He shook his mane so that the fur puffed up. He was curious about the part where she said that the 'forest' brought him here...he was not aware that a cluster of trees could have power to transport others inside them and keep them trapped, but decided to save the question for later. "We are a species born for battle. I have come across many different creatures in my life, but I have never seen one of your kind. What are you?" He asked in return, curiosity seeping into his words. He would say that the creature looked like an elf, perhaps one from the earthen nations which would explain her complexion, but they did not have teeth nor nails that are so...sharp.

Twist jumped slightly at the hissing sound that the creature made, but relaxed again as it relaxed. Her black eyes look intently at it's scaled face and down it's torso and along it's arm, taking in every last detail that see could see as it spoke.
"Sen-toor?" Twist tried to repeat what the creature had said. She had never heard the word before, and didn't really help Twist understand what he was any more than she knew arleady. She giggled when he fluffed up his hair and she tentively reached out to touch it, but pulled her hand down, remembering that she should ask first before touching a friend's hair since she didn't like it when people touched her hair without asking.
Then it asked her what she was and Twist stopped. She became completely still as she tried to remember the answer to that question, "Twist... Twist does not remember. Twist has been in the forest too long. All Twist has of what once was is this," she held up the small gold pendant so that the creature could see it. The gold contrasted brightly against the green-black of her fingers and it shone in the sun, "This was all the forest let Twist keep. It took everything else away..." what exactly it was that the forest took, Twist didn't remember. She just remembered that it had. But Twist shook herself out of her sad memories, she was here to back a friend, "But Twist does not linger on sad things. Sad things hurt Twist." she smiled a kind and child-like smile at the creature, showing all her sharp teeth, "Will Dremnior be Twist's friend? Twist lost all her friends. The forest made them lost."

Dremnior twitched slightly when the creature's hand reached out to brush against his mane. He didn't enjoy physical contact from others aside from those of his pack, finding them usually to be rough. There was also the incident from a while back when a biped, those who call themselves humans, had attempted to climb onto his back as though he were some common mule. That hadn't ended prettily. He was glad when she withdrew her fingers before they made contact.

From Twist's words, the centaur gathered that she wasn't a complete native, but had lived in the forest long enough to be considered one...it made him wonder just how long she had spent wandering these strange woods.

"Lost?" The creature gave him a feeling of someone who's been out of contact with others for far too long. It really didn't bode well for his attempts of getting out of the forest. Or maybe by 'lost' it meant that the 'others', whoever they were, had been returned to wherever they came from. In that case he wouldn't mind getting a little 'lost' himself if it meant getting away from here. He considered Twist's words. "...Very well, I will be your friend, for now. Perhaps we will come across more who have been unfortunate enough to...capture the forest's attention."

Smiled smiled another big toothy smile, "Wonderful! Twist can show you the safe places to sleep, and where the best prey is." she took a step away from him and bagan to walk around him, "But Twist does not know if the forest with bring others. Twist has not been able to find out what the forest likes. It always brings Twist new and different friends." She held out her sleder hand to Dremnior, "Come, Twist knows this patch. If Dremnior and Twist move quickly, they can make it to the dens before the forest changes it." Twist's excitement showed in her eyes quite clearly.

((Not much, but the best I could come up with for now. We really need a third person playing. At least, anyways :/))

((Yeah...or maybe we could make more characters to play with or try pinging some people? :o))

Dremnior followed Twist, marveling at how easily the creature's moods could interchange. Then again, if he were stuck in this forest for gods know how long, he'd probably be excited to have some intelligent company as well. "What kinds of different 'friends' have the forest brought you?" He asked, falling into step a few paces behind Twist. He wondered if the forest brought in creatures from not only all over the world but maybe from other worlds as well, considering he'd never come across anything quite like the brown-haired female in front of him before.

((Do you know if any of your friends would be interested in this RP? I can ask mine. I also forgot how to ping people on mene o.O))

Twist thought about what the sen-toor said as she walked, balancing onthe mossy roots that shaped the path Dremnior could follow. She thought hard about it, her memory straining for the first time in years.
"The forest brings Twist many friends. Some, like you, have scales. But not like you they breath fire. Some look like big fluffy things with sharp teeth and nasty words. Sometimes the forest brings Twist creatures like look like Twist but... not." she frowned slightly as that fact reminded her how she had looked for others like herself and found none. But she shrugged and continued on, "Some have pretty-pretty wings that make colorful shadows. Once Twist made a friend that had no legs! Only a slithery tail." her mood swung once again to solemn to happy as she smiled at him, "So always new. Always different. Twist thinks that the forest would get bored if too many of the same were in it." As she spoke they came out into a clearing where they could see the sky. In the clearing was a little waterfall and fell into a little lake that left teh clearing in clear, slim stream.
"Here! The dens," Twist pointed to the rocks that made up the waterfall. Her long clawed finger circling the entrance to the various caves of many sizes that looked like shelves in the rock, "these are safe places to sleep. Predators don't like the dens.." She looked at Dremnior and smiled.

Quote:
Name: Morana De'Erebus
Race: Moon Elf turned Vampire.
Age: She appears in her early twenties but has long ceased to care about her age since centuries ago.
Appearance:Morana stands at 6 feet even and is a tall, voluptuous woman. Her eyes are blue and her hair black as midnight. Her skin is very pale with a slightly silver tinge. Her nails are slightly sharper then they should be but appear normal, though they change color depending on her mood and what power she is using. She always wears a bracelet on her left wrist that has the ability to transform into weapons or armor. She tends to wear a long sleeved brown coat and revealing blue top over black leather pants. All her clothing is enchanted to repair itself due to the rips and tears that her forming armor tends to create.
Morana had been hunting demons for the cursed bracelet on her wrist to consume when she felt the flash of light. She hissed, covering her eyes a moment only to find herself in shadow once more. She tilted back her head to see a large tree and blinked in a sign of uncertainty. Hadn't she been in the caves along Sirna Coast? She glanced down at the bracelet on her wrist with a distinct look of blame, muttering 'did you do this'.

The bracelet did not respond but judging by the angry flares of energy coming from it and up her arm it had not... and it was rather resentful of whoever did. She sighed to herself, telling it to shut up and let her get her barrings. It caused a cut to appear on her hand as punishment but obeyed. With a shrug she flicked off the blood which seemed darker then it should be....stale somehow. Then again she had been dead for some time now technically.

She searched the surrendering foliage for some sign of movement or hostile enemies, finding nothing but what appeared to be an ordinary forest. She frowned to herself, irritated with the forest already. It appeared so ordinary but magic filled it to the point it made her nose itch. Her elf like ears twitched slightly and lowered in reaction to her irritation when she caught the sound of something. People moving.

She shifted to the shape of a cat, her animal to call, the bracelet shifting to wrap around her throat like a collar as she did so. She then began to follow the two, curious. They seemed the only intelligent life so far... perhaps they would at least lead her to a more civilized place. Getting a meal in this place that would truly fill her seemed like it would be difficult. Animals could sustain her but they always left her feeling so hungry....

(Howdy!)

Name: Maecrux Angelsbane / Dyvren Senrosjoff
Race: Half dragon
Bio: Maecrux was borne in the small (population<500) village of Tybra, where he pursued a career as a statesmen, with the support of his perplexed merchant family. He was very successful at his job, and made Tybra into a bustling center of trade. Maecrux was viewed by the majority of natives as an extention of their family.

In the interest of the people, as this sort of thing usually goes, he was forced to make a number of difficult decisions, and created a troubled past for himself, and the height of this was merging his soul with that of Dyvren, a dying dragon elder, so that he could have the forces of Nature Herself on his side, and was doomed to be 30-something forever.

One day, he was out on a pleasant hike, and the earth did something that I think all polititians think it will do, and opened into a vast chasm and swallowed him.

"How pointless! I was in a forest, the ground stole me away and now I'm in another forest!" He was talking to himself, probably a sign of genius, he thought.
Dyvren's thoughts and feeling came just after his own, this was Maecrux's request, it kept him from feeling insane. He soon realized that the place was filled with pure magic, Maecrux wanted to call it a vast intelligence, but Dyvren thought the word didn't fit. He didn't have to walk very far to notice an elf and a centaur talking, with a cat stalking them. Finding this strange and exciting, he walked cautiously to the edge of their circle, ready to flee at any moment, and said "Hello, my name is Maecrux Angelsbane, and I house a dragon in me, his name is Dyvren Senrosjoff. I am the governer of Tyra, you may have heard of it. I hope you can tell me about this place, and how to get back home."

((OK here I go, I'll drop you a line. See what happens.))

Maecrux saw, out of the corner of his eye, a cat. He found it rather unusual, even for a cat, and so he beleived Dyvren when he said that it was some sort of shapeshifting.

At first he considered the dangers. It's very dangerous. He thought, instead of taking twenty minutes to count the things that could go wrong. Then, he realized it was pure luck that he was breathing. Then he remembered Dyvren. Still getting used to that, they agreed. He now had tremendous power, and an attack that would have once stricken him or any human dead was now like a poke with a twig. A sharpened twig, to be fair.

She was a very cute cat, anyway. He dropped everything, went a respectful ten feet or so away, crouched, and held his arm out, said "come here, little buddy," hoping in the back of his head not to return a bloody stump.

((Sorry for disappearing for a few days, was distracted by the event. ))

Dremnior had been about to comment on the den Twist led him to, when out of nowhere another biped appeared. ((SABBACI your character does look like a human, right? Or are there any physical characteristics that I should be aware of? )) Alarmed, he raised his bow in defense while the distracted male then bent down to talk to a cat. Feeling rather bewildered at the sudden sight of two more unusual lifeforms in the forest (because he was pretty sure there are no cats in the forest, unless the trees were messing with him again), he blinked and looked between the biped, the cat, and Twist, at a loss for words. What in the...?

The cat blinked as the male approached, surprised being he had been talking to the others momentarily. She stepped back on instinct, her ears twitching slightly downward at the word buddy. She wasn't particularly one to socialize.... but looking at her options for a meal she didn't have all that many. Being friendly with these strangers may be her best bet. She suppressed an inward sigh and meowed at the man slightly before approaching him. She sniffed his hand before rubbing her cheek on it like any affectionate cat would. As the centaur raised the bow, however, she turned towards him. She sat on the ground and just watched him a moment in thought. It was almost as if she was waiting for something.

((my character looks human, 30-ish, formally and old-fashiond-ly dressed, I guess.))

Maecrux gently put his hand on the cat's side, the way he, in another world, would put a hand on a fellow human's arm in apology, smiled, and said, "That's right, you never agreed to be my buddy, let alone my little one. Sorry for blowing your cover, by the way, and thanks for not eating me." Then, not feeling silly at all, he stood and straightened out his clothes.

He turned around, saw a centaur ready to shoot at him, having learned through the years how to still his expression and think quickly, he mused, I've definitely heard of centaurs and even did business with them, but somehow managed to live my life without seeing one. It is very impressive, are the stories about growing armor were true. It is very hard to beleive. They could just have an artisan who... That's right, I'm in a bad situation. The dragon could take over, or I could talk my way out.

"I have a name"

"Oh, Dyvren, I know you do"

"That's not my-"

Anyways, it seems best to talk through it. It...he is probably not doing any better than I am. He is a human, and by the gods of earth I'll make a friend out of him.

Then, seeing more clearly, Maecrux saw surprise, not threat, in his face. He looked at the elf, the cat, down at himself, and back to the centaur and shared his surprise, saying "Oh, please, do laugh with me, we don't want to go insane, do we? I... actually it may not be a bad idea. We can even be lost while we go insane. You've found the greatest things getting lost, have you not? But first, before I even ask you your names, let's laugh, just a little, please," then had a good laugh. That attitude was what let him survive the place he still called home, and it better work here, too.

Name: Lulucian Vidaro
Race: Demon
Age: Unknown (Looks 25ish)
Appearance: Lulu
Brief Bio: Lulucian is a strong demon, with the power to compel people to obey him with the power of his voice. He is the servant of a powerful demon overlord called Vathrax, how Lulucian became such a creature's servant is a mystery to all but Lulucian and Vathrax. Lulucian obeys and follows every command of his master loyally, without hesitation. Lulucian has been an envoy, an assassin and many other things in service of Vathrax.

Lulucian had just emerged from the purple swirling gate, a bridge of sorts, he had just stepped foot on the soil of the mortal coil. Prepared and ready to carry out his latest mission for his master. It happened so suddenly that at first Lulu wasn't sure anything had happened, he had felt the familiar sensation of his stomach being turned upside down, as if he had just stepped back within the purple portal, but the portal had closed behind him leaving no trace of itself. Gunmetal colored eyes blinked rapidly for a few moments. He had certainly been transported somewhere, he was surrounded by trees when before he had not been. Before he had been in an open meadow, now he was within a forest.

His master would not be pleased if he could not carry out his task in a timely fashion. Lulu surveyed his surroundings and took a step forward, only a single step. His head snapping in a direction, certain he had heard voices. He ran a hand over his tight clothing for a moment, smoothing it and stood a bit straighter. Power radiated from his very being, though subtly. Lulucian turned towards the voices and moved towards them.

Name: Hikari
Age: 17
Race: Fae
Appearance:
Brief Bio: Hikari is a moon Faery, and was born very near the forest.she always heard the rumors about the forest, but she was more curious than frightened.the day she turned 17,she ventured near the forest, and suddenly found herself lost within it.her abilities include empathy and reverse-empathy,shadow manipulation, slight invisibility(she has trouble controlling it) and flight.her powers are strongest at night, especially during the full moon.she's about five feet tall and has pure white eyes that look blind, but are not.her wings have a seven foot span from tip to tip.She is also skilled in martial arts and archery. Her singing voice has been known to stop crowds of people.

Sitting on a tree branch,Hikari surveyed her surroundings. The forest was so green, covered in moss and leaves,it was like another world. For once, the Fae girl felt at home as she never had before."It must be the nature of a Fae,to feel at home in a forest.what was that?" She said, her ears picking up a faint sound of voices."Father forest, did you call others here as you did me? I think I will go meet them." She concluded with a nod.Wings fluttering,Hikari jumped off the tree branch and flew through the forest in search of the voices. What she found surprised her.A centaur,an elf, what looked like a cat and what looked like a human.Wisely tuning down her Empathetic abilities so that she wouldn't feel anything they were feeling, the Fae landed behind a tree and stepped out shyly, wings fluttering just a little, just enough to be seen.

Morana sighed softly at the man's behavior, curious why he seemed so sure she wasn't a cat. Oh well, she hadn't particularly been hiding even if she would have preferred to be lead to a more social situation... If you gathered enough people together there was always that one who liked being bitten by vampires and would let her feed despite her being a stranger, and often a weirdo that enjoyed it too. She suppressed a sigh but raised her eyes as her bracelet-turned-collar's large gem seemed to have swirls of color a moment within it. It sensed a demon.

I need to eat before another battle, greedy. she responded telepathically to the spirit within. She felt pain rip through her as punishment but by now she was nearly numb to it. She did glance towards the place she sensed the demon. It was one of the few uses the thing had out of battle... to sense demons. As a vampire it wasn't always the easiest thing, demons often seeking similar prey and so on.

Name: Raisa
Race: Of the Mountain Elven Clan
Age: Approximately 198 name days. She still appears to be only 19 though.
Appearance:
Raisa stood 5'7" tall, it was short for elves of that she was sure. She had teal blue eyes and long white blonde hair that she generally wore in a braid bun on the top of her head, except when she was hunting as she always let it free. She had a beautiful sword and sheath that she assumed came from her family, but she was struggling to remember them. It made for great protection and she could throw it far and kill any game she needed to for food. She also kept a purse on her other hip that she kept food and herbs in. It had been on her when she had awoken, along with a deerskin water bag.
Brief Bio: Raisa woke up in the forest of moss but a week ago. She had been going down the mountain to the human cities that were closer to the bottom of the mountain when she felt a strange pull. Raisa had tried to ignore it and continue down to the city to collect herbs and food for her family. She brought fresh rabbit and goats milk with her to trade as that was all her family had. Her mother was ill and needed some medicine which Raisa had been hoping to gather. However before she could even see the city she felt a calling and passed out. She awoke in the Forest of Moss with no memories of her family except that she had been trying to get to a city to find medicine.

Raisa had been sleeping high up in the trees when she heard a bit of noise on the forest floor below. This was her first time hearing what sounded like people since entering the forest a week ago. She had only been around game and had been getting used to the solitary. She yawned and wiped her eyes trying to feel more awake before she went to investigate.

Now I wonder who it could be down there. I assume that it must be people that the forest also called home.

Raisa knew better then to move with out pinning her hair up, the way it flowed through the trees was generally what gave her away first. So she sat for a moment and raked her fingers through her hair before quickly braiding it and twisting it up into a bun that she held in place with two twigs, her signature look. She was extremely light on her feet and so she decided to jump down a few branches and try to see who was also in the forest with her. As she descended she thought she counted five beings. She felt a pull of kinship to the one whose skin was a green color so she assumed the girl must be an elf of some sort as well. It was the others that worried her, she felt a demon and possibly a vampire so she decided it would be best to stay hidden. Raisa crouched on a branch and put one hand on the hilt of her sword ready to attack if she must. It was at that moment that out of the corner of her eye she seen a fae who she realized might be able to spot her due to her position on the branch. She was stuck where she was though as any extra movement would definitely alert the fae, and Raisa was unsure if she wanted to be found yet.

So many scents, the demon tried to sort and process them all. Trying to determine by scent alone who would be the biggest threat or danger to him. None of them really, all he would need do is speak and he would be obeyed, well for a short time at least. Also his power depended on how strong his opponents willpower was, Lulu had a very strong force of will, with a power like his one would have to. Still the demon didn't completely enjoy making others obey him, but all the power was in his voice, not just words.

Before venturing closer to the voices he had heard and the scents he smelled, Lulucian waved a hand and muttered something in demonic. For a moment it almost looked as if the purple portal would appear and open, the air shimmered for a moment in front of him and then fizzled. The gate could not be opened in this place and he found that very odd and disturbing. He could not return to his master, could not carry out his mission, was this an elaborate trap for him? Perhaps to lure out his master?

Lulu shook his head and continued towards the others. He stopped moving when he was just within sight of them. Gunmetal eyes calm as he scanned over each of those that were visible to him. Why would so many different creatures be gathered in one place? Unless whatever had brought him here had also brought them here as well. That seemed logical, unless, they were the ones that brought him here. Lulu's lips twitched slightly but he didn't frown even if looked like he wanted to. He didn't like this at all.
