So as some of you on here may know, I am a soon to be hairstylist. And I need some advice for an event that happened tonight.

I had a repeat client tonight, and he was my first male client that I thought was cute, way back in Mod 2 when I started cutting hair. I couldn't talk to him much the first time around because I was too flustered, and I thought he had a girlfriend. However since then my favorite teacher has helped me out a crazy amount with male clients, especially ones that I think are cute. So tonight I used my favorite technique of hers. I thought to myself before he came in "I'm hotter then you" which sounds silly, but it actually helped.

Anyways, I was talking with him and gave him WAY better of a hair cut then last time, and we talked and he flirted with me and I obviously flirted back with him. And near the end he asked me about uncomfortable clients, and I mentioned one that was much older then me that had hit on me. He said "That must happen all the time hey?" My response was, "Yeah, but they aren't always creepy, I mean most of my teachers husbands started out as clients." And he was like "Oh yeah? So whats your policy on someone giving there number out?" As quickly as I could without seeming over zealous I responded "we can't give our numbers out but we are allowed to accept a clients number" And my classmate who over heard it all thought the same as me, that he was going to give me his number... but he didn't. He mentioned this website he's on that's doing a live webcast on Saturday for our municipal elections... I found the website and his twitter.... my one class mate says I should follow him on twitter, but will that seem creepy?

I don't want to miss a chance with a guy that I have such good chemistry with, especially since he's so level headed... but I don't want to seem like a creep.

HELP!

Wait and see if he comes back and/or asks for you as prefered stylist see what happens from there, it could be he was being nice or he might be genuinely interested. Following him on twitter having only met him once is a bit weird. Watch the webcast so if he does come back then you can talk to him about that if he comes back.

This was my second time cutting his hair, and the problem is that he only gets it cut every eight weeks and I am graduating from school in four weeks, so he most likely won't be back before I leave... I also gave him a bowl cut the first time and he still called and re booked with me. And he definitely did not want a bowl cut that first time. He even laughed and said I have gotten much better from the last time... I just don't want to miss the chance to get to know a really decent guy

I don't think I'd follow him on Twitter either, unless he handed that information out, but what I get is that you found it on your own time.

I'm not much a twitter user, but if there's contact info on there, I'd use that route instead. Or you can just private message him on there, and tell him who this is, saying you watched his webcast and blah blah. Kinda keeping the conversation from there.

I think that would be the subtle approach to keep contact-ish with him, and gain something outside than just being his hairstylist.

He had mentioned that they used twitter for the website, so I looked up the hashtag for the site and came across a post that led to his page. So yeah, I guess I did actually find it myself :/

But I like your idea, it's a much subtler way. I don't want to be that weird girl like always.
