((Human/Fantasy Hetalia AU loosely based off the tale of Little Red Riding Hood. wooooo.))

Tino's grandfather had gotten sick. The old man lived in the middle of the woods. Nobody quite knew what was wrong with him, but whatever it was, it was serious.

Thus, Tino had journeyed through the woods towards his house and was able to figure out what was wrong with him, and set out to go back into town.

However, he felt as if he was being watched as he travelled back through the forest....

Berwald was traveling through his forest home when he heard it.... rustling... coming from the rarely used forest trail.... people from the small village almost never traveled this far into the forest... they were afraid. He got closer and sniffed as he neared the trail, he spotted and young man.... he was wearing a red cloak and had the hood pulled over his head... he seemed to be heading to town from the old mans house.

he had been watching the man for awhile now and knew he was very very sick.... He began to follow the boy on the long journey through the woods. he was intrigued... he wanted to see his face...

when the boy was almost back to town and about to leave the denser part of the forest he stepped out into the path before him. he was still in his wolf form and had thick gray fur that covered his body.... he had black markings around his face that if looked at closely might appear to be almost like glasses. then to add to all of it he was very large... large for even his kind

he stared at the young man through clear blue eyes.... before he changed he wanted to see if he would run....

Tino was startled by the bipedal wolf. He wanted to run, yet was strangely curious. He remained silent and observed the body of the very tall wolf.

He slowly transformed into the form of a human and inclined his head "hello, I am Berwald and I look over the forest..." he walked closer "not many are brave enough to travel here, but i know of your grandfather and his illness. I can give you a temporary means to keep his alive... but for a cost" He wanted to get straight to the point encase the man tried to run. he wanted him to know he meant no harm as many humans assumed he did

Tino flinched as he saw Berwald become a man before his eyes. "I... you can cure him?!" he exclaimed. "Please, I want to save him!"

"only temporarily he will need the medicine every 2 days if he is to survive, and every time i will need something in return if i am to make it" he smiled just a little

Tino nodded and cocked his head to the side. "Something in return?" he asked "What is it? What do you need?"

"This time?" he thought for a moment "i want to see your face, remove your hood and let me look at you" well that came out creepyer then he wanted it to

Tino swallowed. Gosh, this guy was creepy... he was tempted to run away....
Yet still he remained. He slowly removed his hood to reveal his blond locks and violet eyes.

his eye brows shot up... he was beautiful...
Berwald had always secretly been very selfish and he now found his self wanting the man for himself.... and maybe just maybe he could have him...
he nodded once totaly expressionless and walked off for just a moment before returning with a small wicker basket with a small pastry inside "have him eat this, then return in two days time when the effects where off"

Tino nodded and walked away back towards his grandfather's house.

he watch him go and transformed back to follow him.

((time skip))

he watched as the boy re-entered the forest, same red cloak and everything... he began to follow him... he stop him when he got deeper into the forest... maybe he wait to see if the boy called for him.. or if he remembered...

Tino entered the forest, on guard. He looked around for the wolf. "Wolf?" he called. He looked around. What was his name, again? "Berwald?" he called, louder this time. He hoped he had the proper name....

He smiled, the boy remembered very well. he stepped out in front of him and transformed "Hello again, i see by your return you were satisfied that it is making him better"

Tino smiled and nodded, removing his hood. Something about Berwald was so creepy, yet at the same time, he felt like the wolf would never hurt him.

"This time, I want your name" he stated. "I have told you mine it only seems fitting i have yours" He silently wondered what it would be... he had a couple of guesses but he was certain they were all wrong

Tino nodded slowly. "My name?" he asked. "My name is Tino... Tino Väinämoïnen."

Yep his guesses were wrong. He nodded and turned to get the basket. he handed it to the small man and transformed back retreating into the forest. he didnt know why this boy intrigued him so much but he did... so his name was tino... he would remember that He followed the boy untill he reached the house and while he waited for the boy to exit so he could follow him back he transformed into a human "Tino" he tried out the name... it seemed to fit perfectly

Tino, while opening the door to exit the house, heard Berwald call his name. "Yes, Berwald?" he asked.

He froze, shit..... "I-um- n'thing" a light blush colored his cheeks and he started toturn to run off again

Tino ran after him. "Wait!" he called.

He turned back to him "yes?" he asked almost shyly...

"Don't go..." Tino said quietly, shyly.

he looked surprised "I never really do..." he hinted that he had been following him... he didnt know if that was 'acceptable' where tino was from...

Tino's eyes grew wide. "What.... What do you mean?" he asked. Did Berwald stalk him?
