Mr. Mayor hasn't been looking well since we returned from the cruise. He has yet to enter his office, instead staying cooped up in the safety of his home. And I don't blame him one bit, what with that absolutely awful kidnapping incident! (Don't mention the "k" word to him!)

So then I thought, why not cheer him up?
That's where all of you come in! What Mr. Mayor needs right now is an encouraging message or two to lift his spirits.

There are two categories for this contest:

PROSE and PICTORIAL

✿ Prose ✿
Calling all wordsmiths! This category is for those who prefer expressions through words.
In this category, you would be judged mainly on the creativity and relevance of your writing. You may portray or enhance your prose with graphics, but the most important thing is the content.

• Entries can be in any format (sentence, poem, limericks etc).
• All entries must be 40 words or less.

✧ Pictorial ✧
For those who itch to show off that artistic side in them, this category is for you.
In this category, you will be judged on both the art and the message within. Technical skills and style are taken into account.

• All media types are allowed (digital, traditional, crafts, mixed media, graphics).
• All entries must be made by you. Claiming someone else's work as your own is an offense. Don't do it.
• For entries which include graphics and photo-manipulation, please give credits where credits are due.
• If you are taking a photo of your entry, make sure it is of decent quality or we won't be able to fully appreciate your creation.

I composed the image and I coloured it, but i got the line art online and I gave credit to those artist. I found them in a google search. Hopefully that cheers you up a little. I have to get back to making a quilt now. sorry.
