Elizabeth's eyes fluttered open. Her room was dark, which was typical; although she could see some faint light struggling around her heavy blackout curtains on the window. The light seemed to be waning, though, which told her that it was likely sunset. Stretching a bit, she lay in her bed for a few more minutes before reluctantly getting up. Her hunger was stronger than her desire to try for more sleep. Grabbing her towel, she left the dark safety of her bedroom and emerged into the more brightly-lit hall of the apartment. Time to shower.
Elsewhere, Claramae was settling into her temporary home. She had arrived in town earlier in the day, and had taken most of the daylight hours to acclimate herself. There was far too much iron around the city for her comfort, but the cozy little wooden cottage she'd chosen was thankfully low in iron. She would brave the iron cage of the city if it meant she was able to be out on her own for a while. She loved her own kind, really she did; the Summer Court would always be her home and haven. But for now, she needed to be on her own. Of course, she had gone through all of the appropriate channels to let both the Seelie and the other non-human officials know she was staying, so there shouldn't be any problems.

- Laura smiled as the sun began to set. Her sleeping habits were not all that great since pretty much her only family member was up all night, sleeping all day. But that was normal. She had taken a walk from her house, through the park, and continued down the avenue to her sister's apartment. They lived close enough for a nice brisk walk when it was needed.
The wind blew her hair around a bit as she turned to the apartments. Laura passed a few others, and then ended up at Elizabeth's. She knocked on the door, and then again. "I know your in there," She called out. "I'm coming in,"

Elizabeth could hear the familiar footsteps of her sister coming down the hall even before the knock on the door.
"Laura," she replied, "I just woke up." She was definitely not whining in the least. "And I was about to shower." She paused for a moment. "Did you bring me breakfast?" The question was asked teasingly, since she knew her sister better than that by now. Laura would ignore what Elizabeth was as long as it wasn't blatantly ground in her face all the time. Little teases like that were as far as Elizabeth would go.

- "Sadly, that's a negative," Laura said chuckling a bit, making her way into the living room to wait on her sister. She sat briskly down on the couch and began fiddling with the lampshade on the stand next to it. She dropped by often enough to know that Elizabeth didn't care that she walked in. It's not like she would ever steal anything or do anything wrong. No matter their circumstances, they were still family, and long living at that. They needed to stick together.
Laura bent her head back a bit to let her voice spread further from the living room. "Aaactually I came here to express my fondness of a particular whisper I've heard about in town. I heard it twice, floating around. Once in the coffee shop I like, and then another time in this club downtown. Anyway, I heard there is a Fae in town," She said smiling.

"A Fae?" Elizabeth asked in return as she got into the shower. She left the door open so she could hear her sister. "What's a fairy doing here? Human towns are literally screaming metal deathtraps to Sidhe, right?" She wasn't an expert, by any means, but she'd been around long enough to know the basics. Which brought her to another question. "Is the Sidhe Seelie or Unseelie?" That was definitely something she wanted to know. While Summer Fae, Seelie, weren't as aggressive as their Winter, or Unseelie, counterparts, it was still a bad idea not to be prepared for both.

- "Well I won't know a lot about it until I go and actually try to meet her. I heard it was a girl, but other then that it's all just been a bunch of random hear say that changes up a lot. I also don't know a lot of her business. So depending on what words are true, she may or may not live on the outskirts." Laura said happily. "Which totally makes sense. I mean, if you muuust live in a city, stay out of the bigger parts. It's a good way to integrate, I suppose.,"
That was the thing about Laura and Elizabeth. Her sister was a vampire, and she was a gifted. Funny how life threw you those kind of screw balls. Being a gifted, she had magic that she could hon; that other humans could not. It also just happened to make her life span easily comparable to Elizabeths. It was that magic power that made her want to meet and greet a Fae.
The Fae's magic was much like a gifted's magic. However the gifted were a lot less intune with their magic unless you aquired a master. Even then, in Laura's eyes, the Fae were still so much more in touch. So it was her goal to meet a Fae. Not only that, but possibly work under one. This could be the chance she was waiting for.

"Can't you, I don't know, use magic to find her?" Elizabeth asked as she got into the shower. She left the bathroom door open so she could still hear her sister. She sighed softly as the hot water warmed her skin from the outside. She wouldn't be warm from the inside until she got herself a decent meal, so the shower would do for the moment. She would need to feed soon, though; she didn't like going more than a day without feeding. Bad things tended to happen if she tried.

- "Hm, yeah I suppose I could," Laura said chuckling at herself. Sometimes she forgot that things were sometimes that easy. She wasn't sure if the Fae would appreciate it, but it was something she really wanted to do. She leaned over to the table and lifted up some papers, seeing what was there.
"Do you happen to have a local map, and a pendulum. Or a sting and pretty much anything with an okay weight, like... some thing small and metal... a washer would work. You know those things that goes with screws? I can make my own pendulum." Laura called out. It would be amazing if she could meet the Fae so soon.

"A real map?" Elizabeth asked. She had to think about that one for a second. "I have an old map of the city, it's probably two decades old. It should be on the shelf of the desk." Turning off the shower, she wrapped herself in a huge towel and left the bathroom. "And you left a spare magic kit here, remember? For just in case? Your blue-goldstone pendulum is in it." She tilted her head towards the other end of the apartment. "It's in my room. Trunk at the foot of the bed."

- Laura looked off, her finger on her lips thinking. "Good memory! I did leave one here! Maybe I can find a way to make a potion or something for true memory enhancing," She said laughing as she headed to Elizabeths room. She opened the truck easily and looked over a few items, locating a small clothed wrapped box. Taking it back to the living room, she set it on the lampside table then located the map.
An older map wouldn't be a big deal. There just might be several new buildings and roads that would make it a little less easy to locate the exact house or where ever the Fae was staying. "You know, this is kind of stalkerish," Laura said shrugging as she spread out the map and then opened the box, handling the pendulum. Even though neither her sister nor herself were born in that exact time frame that they lived, Laura acted a lot more like it. There was just something refreshing about living like you were meant in that decade or era. There was always so much to learn. There was deffinalty more to learn about her magic skills, which weren't top notch yet.
Laura made sure the map was spread out and flat on the table and held the pendulum above the map, but not too far. She began speaking a soft incantation. After a small amount of time, the pendulum began to move.
"Hm," Laura mumbled and then smiled. "On the eastern outskirts. There isn't much in that particular area on this map, but like you said its a little older,"

"Sister, dear, you don't know the meaning of 'stalkerish' until you've spent more than a year learning exactly how to follow someone without being sensed," Elizabeth commented as she went into her room to get dressed. With practiced ease, she slipped a green-and-gold brocade corset on over a pretty, plain white shirt and cinched the laces. Her vampiric strength made it so she didn't have to struggle with tightening the laces, and she had it comfortably snug in moments. Then she pulled on a pair of jeans with embroidered pockets (she had embroidered them herself, it was much cheaper) and went out to see what her sister was doing. "The eastern outskirts?" She sat down next to Laura and thought for a moment, one hand absently playing with the end of some of her hair. "Not much out there last time I checked," she said. "A few houses, maybe a small park? Not a lot."

- Well that was deffinatly true. Elizabeth of all people would know much better. That was just the way with being one of the children of the night and such. Laura smiled, thinking about her sister.
"Yeah I don't think there is much out there. That works, though, for a Fae. If you don't want to be in all the hustle, bustle, and metal, then don't. It's not like everyone can't work from an area outside of town." Laura commented, putting up the map and, pendlum, and her box, after memorizing the area.
"So what are your plans for today?"

"Breakfast," Elizabeth promptly replied. She stretched a little. "Breakfast is my immediate plan." She paused for a moment. "Although I think my schedule is clear after that. I really didn't have much planned for today." Which, really, wasn't unusual. Since her break from her 'family,' she didn't have to follow orders from her sire anymore or babysit any more fledgelings. She grinned a bit at her sister. "So if you're asking me to go with you to see this Fae, I have plenty of time."

- Laura's stomach growled in response, and the laid her hand over it and smiled. "I think I agree with you on the breakfast, and of course I'm asking you to go. It can be a small adventure. Not much has been happening around town lately anyway. It's been really, really quiet, actually," She said. Of course with the exception of the Fae.
"You feel like going out, or eating here?" Laura asked.

"I ran out of bags yesterday," Elizabeth replied. "I need to pick up some more, but for right now I'll need to 'eat out'." Meaning she was going to put those stalking skills to good use and find some fresh blood for her breakfast. "Where do you want me to meet you when I'm done?" Because, sister or not, she wouldn't make Laura go with her on a hunting trip. She had to be subtle, anyways; humans didn't know about any of the supernatural, and she wanted to make sure to keep it that way.

- Laura understood. She wasn't sure she would really want to ever go on a 'hunt' with Elizabeth. She was okay with who and what she was, however she didn't want to harm anyone. It just wasn't who she was.
Leaning on the wall closest to the door, Laura looked at her sister. "How about that cute coffee shop down on East Main? I think I might go get my breakfast there," She said. It was one of the more supernatural owned shops arround. There were not a whole lot of supernatural owned places, though many would be surprised how many there were, because attracting human attention was rarely a good thing.

Elizabeth nodded; she knew which place her sister was talking about. She gave her sister a quick hug, making sure not to squeeze too tightly.
"I'll meet you there, then," she said. "I shouldn't be more than an hour, alright? Give me a call if I take longer than that." Going over to her purse, she pulled a few bills out of her wallet and then handed the bag to Laura. "Take this with you? It's easier if I don't have to tote it around while I'm out."

- Laura smiled and nodded. Yes-- it didn't matter who or what either of them were. They were family and that is what counted. That was how it would always stay. "I can. Oh, of course I'll call you if you take a little too long. Well see you then"
When she left the house, Laura decided to take the slightly longer route, to drop back by her house and grab her car. No reason for them to be treking all across the town. It's not like they weren't health. As she got to her house and started her car, she could feel the excitment bubble a little. This was it. Today was the moment she was really waiting for! She thought about it as she drove to the coffee shop.
Laura parked at the coffee shop on East Main and entered, sitting down close to the window. She then ordered a small coffee; sugar and no creamer; and their breakfast special for that day.

Elizabeth, on the other hand, didn't bother with a car. It would just be a distraction while she was hunting. Once Laura was gone, she left as well, locking the door behind her. Then she headed into the city proper, heading towards some of the 'established' hunting grounds in the seedier parts of town. There was always fresh blood to be had there, since everyone obeyed the unspoken rule of not killing.
Two donors later, Elizabeth headed towards the cafe on East Main, her skin flushed a bit from pasty to just fair and her movements smoother than before. Yes, she enjoyed a good, fresh meal once in a while. Walking into the cafe, she looked around for Laura.

- The service in the cafe was good. It was quick and efficient. The special and her coffee was in front of her very quickly and she dug in. It was nice to relax. There were some days where that was fairly impossible. Sometimes there was just so much to do or learn or study. It was easy to forget simply pleasures like a delicious warm meal at a cafe.
When she was done with the food, and just siping on some of the coffee, Laura saw Elizabeth walk in with a slight spring in her step. She smiled and waved at her sister. When she got over there, Laura motioned to her coffee. "Just about done here, no worries,"

"Take your time," Elizabeth said as she slid into the booth with her sister. She waved off a waitress who asked to take her order, giving the girl some generic 'nothing for me' answer. Once the waitress walked away again, Elizabeth focused on her sister. "No rush, really. I thought I would take longer than I did, so I'm just early."

- "Did you get your... fill?" Laura asked still not sure how to put it. You would think that she would know everything by now, but sometimes it was still wierd, especially since her mind was simply racing with the prospect of a near by Fae.
It didn't take long for her to finish the cup of coffee. Laura then put the bill, money, and tip on the table and stood. She strectched. "Ready?"

"I'll be fine until tomorrow," Elizabeth replied, nodding. She knew how strange Laura felt asking about it, so she made it as easy on her sister as possible. She stood up when Laura did, stretching a little. "I'm ready when you are. You know where we're going, right?" Elizabeth remembered the general area on the map, but she couldn't pinpoint where they needed to go. She hoped her sister would have a better idea.

- "Yeah come on," Laura said smiling widely. Truth was, she wasn't entirely sure. But how hard could it be to find? She headed out to the car and got in and turned on the car. She rarely wore a seat belt. It felt restricting to her.
When her sister was in the are, she fixed the mirror. "And by yeah, I mean that we're going to that area on the map, and see what seems... Fae like." Laura said chuckling a bit. Niehter of them were stupid, so they should be able to do it. "Your a hunter, and Im sure I could pull out some magic or something,"

"A predator, yeah, but I've never hunted down a Fae before," Elizabeth pointed out. Fae were notoriously hard to track down and even harder to catch unawares, so most hunters and predators didn't even try. "I mean, between the two of us we should be alright, but still." She waved a hand as she strapped in. "Buckle up, you're less durable than I am. And let's go see what we can find."
