Menewsha, the place where people from all over the world meet. Some of us come to relax, some feel safer here, some maybe even feel at home.

But what is Menewsha to you?

For me... Menewsha is the home I always wanted. If it were a real place, I'd move there in a heartbeat.

It would be hard for me to put into words what menewsha is to me.

Menewsha is where I have friends, and I consider them real friends. Menewsha has helped me through some really Dark times in my life, and has also helped me grow as a person.

They say home is where the heart is....so I guess for me, Menewsha is Home ^.^

Mene started out as a direction I could point my creative energy.
I joined Menewsha because I wanted to improve my art skill by opening an art shop and just practicing like a mad woman. I found out I'm reeeeally bad at keeping up with an art shops/auctions (Eek!). I left Mene for almost a year out of embarrassment.

A while later and my IRL social network kind of broke down and I revisited Menewsha.
I found there were still plenty of sweethearts here to meet and get to know. Seito and Antagontist found my freebie shop and really made me feel welcome again-- which is something that kept me (honestly) sane during my year abroad. I learned that I am motivated by people and interaction and so it evolved from simply being a creative outlet to being, collectively, a good friend. It can get a little wild at times, or sad, but overall it is something that has my back and inspires me to do more.

What is Mene to me...wow, this place has been a big part of my life for 7 years, and like Cora, it's hard to put it into words. It's most definitely a safe haven. Somewhere where I'm known and know that I will always be able to find company and support, somewhere that I've made the best friends of my life.

It's brought me extremes of emotion over the years, the whole spectrum really; from the fuzziest of warm feels, the biggest of laughs and the shiniest of happies, through proud moments and heartfelt sadness, to the depths of rage and dispair. All the same things that you feel with a family over the years, and for much the same kind of reasons, when it all comes down to it!

As others have said, it's home. In this age of technology we get to have two homes. There's one our corporeal body lives in, and we get to have one for our electronic self too.

Out of all the sites I've been, out of all the hell of a mess I've made throughout the internet, out of trying to dodge many pervy people, disgusting stuff I'd like to keep to myself, I finally found a place that was.. almost.. virus-free And mene is the only place I visit now, the only place I really care about. My phone is the first thing I see in the morning, and mene is the place I visit, just to take a peek, even if I don't have time to post. It's a place I feel safe. I feel good. I feel like a nice person. Everyone is nice here, and it just.. changes you. It did change me and made me see things in a way I don't know how. And all this I say when I've only been active since this year.

It's just a place to me, like a pin on a map.
I don't share the same connections with people, or with the forums that were already described. It's just a place.

That's like saying Africa and Antarctica are the same thing, and that's not logical.

There are a lot of different places, and each one is its own place.

The people that go there and the way they are and the things they do change the place, and make it different.

If it wasn't like that, then there would only be one website, and most of the people on it would probably wish there was a different one. I wouldn't like it.


This place is a place where I'm allowed to be. I live almost entirely on the internet, and I've been a lot of places on it, and this place feels nice to me, because the people are nice.

There are a lot of places on the internet where nobody likes me. I don't go to those places anymore.

I like this place the best.
