I am a teacher and we are finally on summer break! I'm so excited! Anyone else teach or a student and are on break now? Any big plans?

Aside from gaming and being lonely, not too big of plans. I'm more a graduate myself.

Summer break started May 8 here, but I didn't start college until January, so I'm taking summer classes. I'll have another small break for a couple weeks in August. I'm taking summer classes, though, so I kind of get to go at my own pace. The only thing I regret so far is taking English Comp 2 online. There is so much work with little instruction. My algebra basically has NO instruction, but it's algebra, so it shouldn't be as hard.

bluerockman - hopefully! I will probably get bored haha
First - I miss college semesters :P Ours were nice - we'd go from Beginning of January to the first week of May. Then we had until August to relax in the summer haha. Now as a teacher we go beginning of January through first week of June - that's a whole month we lose D:
I took physics as a summer class in college - I had to teach myself the material XD I hate physics and worked super hard and got a good grade - but damn - it was hard!

I find some gaming on platforms like Steam to be a little helpful, but I can only do so much when alone, you know? Also, there's the local comic shop for me, in the case of playing games like Magic or doing some tabletop roleplaying like in D&D. Perhaps those might help?

I got out back in May and I'm still trying to figure out something to do :/
Most of my plans have gone haywire, anyway.

Gaming is something I can only do for a very short amount of time - I get pretty restless when I sit and try to play a game for a while XD I'm too antsy.
OMG KITTY! *kidnaps him*

Even action intensive games? I ask because those usually suit antsy sorts.

I don't get a summer break. :(
I work with toddlers, so we're in school all year around!
But still, in the summer, my only plan is to pack up everything and leave.
I'm moving to a smaller box on the other side of the country!

I can usually sit through super smash brothers the longest - because it's always new and different. And I usually do random character and random platform to keep it interesting XD

haha we have preschool classes in my school - I'm lucky that it isn't all year for me XD I wouldn't enjoy that. We only get the 3 and 4 year olds for 20 minutes...I don't think I could take them longer than that XDDD
Wow! That's a long move!

Well, Smash certainly qualifies as Action intensive. Have you checked out Duck Game by chance? From the vids I've seen of the gameplay, it's a bit Smash-like.

I have been on break since early May. I only had five courses this semester. Last year, I was geared more towards history and archaeology as a major, but this year after weighing my options and seeing how the economy is and will most likely be in the future, I have decided that next year will be the beginning of my studies in nursing. I hear it pays good and I love to help others and put smiles on their faces.

I love the color of your avvie's hair! Such a pretty green!
I could never be a nurse - blood from other people really grosses me out D: I don't mind MY blood...but blood from ANYONE else I'm like "yeaaaah...gonna faint" XD More power to you! I have many friends who are nurses - they love it :D

I teach elementary school music :) I teach general music to grades PreK through 6th grade as well as chorus, orchestra, recorder, and an orff-percussion ensemble :D

That sounds somewhat interesting. I remember hating elementary music (to the devil with those recorders), and I can only imagine how much the music teacher would have rather been elsewhere than teaching reluctant urchins how to not blow so hard into the recorder. Of course, that was second grade. Every kid wanted to be a pain in the butt to the teacher.
Oh, and thank you! It took me half an hour to find the right shades of green! I wanted it to go with the sunflower. I love sunflowers. :)

Oh I love teaching music - and I love the recorder haha XD But then I guess I have to if I am going to be in this profession :P 2nd grade is a little young for starting recorder though...the hands of a second grade student are barely big enough to play it. We start in third grade at my school and I STILL have some kids who can't cover all the holes with their tiny hands XD

I've never seen Heroes actually XD
It sounds interesting, but I'm not really the dramatic type, you know?
I've mostly been watching gamers (Markipiler and Cryoatic, mostly), Nostalgia Critic, and past seasons of RPDR XD

I remember when Nostalgia Critic used to feel funnier, and less like he was trying too hard/less like he was doing something he didn't want to do.
Ever since Demo Reel, things just haven't felt the same.
