It's probably because I had a bfriend who was way into it, but I still find myself watching wrestling/WWE most Mondays and Fridays. I don't tend to like the crowd faves like John Cena tho.

Do YOU like wrestling, or is the fake aspect too annoying? Do you prefer WWE or TNA?

Oh gosh, I used to love Monday Night RAW, when John Cena and Randy Orton were all crazy against each other. Didn't like it when DX broke up, though, they were faves of mine together, but alone they don't stand all that well. The Undertaker kicked ass, that thing he does with his eyes rocks.

But as for the fake aspect, it pisses me off. I hate how they purposely show the crowd when they're supposedly hitting each other with the chairs, it just enhances how fake it is and it turns me off. Other than that, I used to love it. Don't watch it as much anymore, though, as the schedule changed plus it aired three weeks later around here, so I was way off all the time.

They re-air them on the Spanish channel, if you get that. If I miss one, or it is pre-empted by something better I usually just catch the re-broadcasts.

I forget whoall was in DX in the very beginning. I know at the very end it was just Triple H and Shawn Michaels, and then Shawn retired. But maybe H should just pick some new guys and revive it? I don't know.

My parents and my sisters always make fun of me for it, but they know how much I love it
Now my boyfriend of five years watches it with me, so its all good

My favorite is Triple H, been since I was five
I have a lot other I like but hes number one
and I was happy to she him come back, even its just for a while

What happening between John Cena and The Rock is really funny..... oh yea and The Miz lmao

I just hope all this talk of 'when the streak ends you end' and 'if I can't end it I'll die trying' doesn't mean Triple H and/or the Taker will retire when Wrestlemania is over. It is true they've both been in the biz a long time, and Shawn with his leisure time now must have made retirement look tempting. But in my opinion there just aren't as many colorful, charismatic characters amongst the new gen of wrestlers.

I do like John Morrison tho. He's an interesting younger wrestler.

I kind of stopped watching it a long time ago. But I started up again because my brother still watches it.
And once I hear that :The Rock, Triple H, Undertaker, and of course Stone Cold, are going to be in wrestlemania, I will watch more and also wait for April 3, when Wrestlemania happens. I will so TOTALLY order it :]
I miss the older wrestlers and that is basically why I stopped watching it when I did. The years when it was all about John Cena. [ew] I don't like him. He was always winning and it just became too predictable.
I also watch TNA for Mr. Kennedy [ I MEAN MR. ANDERSON...I miss the Mr. Kennedy one though] I like him. He is coolio! <3

Yeh, a lot of my friends don't like Cena either. I suspect the argument between him and The Rock is a little beyond kayfabe; certainly The Rock is right how bland the new guys can be.

I enjoyed wrestling alot more when I was a child. I guess it was because I never saw it as fake but now I know the truth of it so I don't really get excited over it much anymore lol. I only watched wwe wrestling a few nights ago because stone cold steve austin came back and he was me and my big brothers favorite character when we were younger. It bought some nastolgic feelings back ^_^

Tonight was sort of depressing. I had had an amusing day; I filmed a new episode of my music TV show, and then saw my friend Nick who does a show called 'The Wrestling Hour' and so I stayed and went on that. but when we went home we watched RAW and saw that Adam "Edge" Copeland is retiring due to injuries... he was always one of my faves, so this is sad. First Shawn Michaels quits and now him.

I know. I'm going to miss Edge. His opening song is just so....AWESOME! It really brings back memories.~
Alot of awesome wrestlers quit wrestling :[ It's really sad. Old wrestling was more real than it is now a days. The new wrestlers suck D:

Hate to revive a old thread, but there's been some interesting stuff going on with the WWE of late. CM Punk's breaking of kayfabe rant, and subsequent walk out after the big pay per view, Triple H taking over in Vince's stead..... anybody been watching?

I like CM Punk! I he is awesome~ Triple H is too! But I found it really sad when he fired Vince. He has been there a long time.

im a huge cm punk fan. i understand that wrestling is scripted but that doesnt keep me from enjoying it. its fun to watch... like a sports show mixed with a reality show.... i love stuff like that. but i dont watch just wwe. in fact, i knew about cm punk when he was in a company called ring of honor way back in the day.... i like what he stands for, being drug and alcohol free, and i think hes extremely gifted in the ring and on the microphone. anything he says has the ability to make you love him or hate him..... i just cant wait for him to come back and get in hhhs face some more just like he did at comic con.

I agree. The scripting is awesome. I love it. I have no problems with it, it's all for entertainment purposes. The punching and kicking maybe fake. But the jumps off the top rope and slams are all pretty much real.
you cannot fake gravity. If it wasn't real, there wouldn't be all those injuries. Mr Anderson (Mr. kennedy) left the WWE because he was getting injured alot. And Vince said he was accident / injury prone and let him go. He went to TNA, which is another one I watch and love because of him.
Also, the late Chris Benoit's head butts were real which caused him to have head problems and have stitches to his head.
It's very real. Although SOME things aren't real, for the sake of the wrestlers .
