So today in vocal music we had to perform a children's song. I chose the kookaburrah song. (I think that's how it's spelled), other people chose Disney songs and other sing-a-long nursery rhymes.

So what's your favorite children's song when you were a kid?
Why did you like it?
And do you still like it now?

When I was a kid, I always watched Barney, so I loved a lot of the songs the kids would sing. For example, there was the song that was supposed to be like "I like to eat, eat, eat, apples and bananas!" and you'd go through the vowels and it'd be like "I like to ate, ate, ate, ay-ples and banaynays!" and "I like to oat, oat, oat, oh-ples and banonos!" Lol, that one was really fun. My friends and I still burst into song at times with that one.

Well I was always a fan of John Jacob Jingle Heimer Schmidt. It's just catchy. xD

I liked Jingle Bells :3 I remember singing that at Christmas time. And I suppose I loved all the songs on Barney xD I loved Barney... x3

I liked it. Cause it was just.. Rocking.. And still kind of childish sounding. Nowadays I dont hate it. I can still listen to it. But I dont really like it either hehe

I have the kookaburra song in my head now. I had no idea what a kookaburra was when I was little. I probably didn't know what a gum tree was either! I still like it now, it has a nice rhythm to it.

Apparently, according to my mum who thinks it's cute, I would very loudly sing "The Wheels on the Bus" everytime we were on a bus. So now if I ever hear it, it's just embarassing, heh.

One that I did constantly was that song about the moon being out too soon. I was outside a lot, so EVERY time I saw the moon in the daytime, I'd start to sing it. XD I can't remember exactly how it went. And when I google it, the lyrics sound a little different.
But I sang that so much, man. >.<
And no, I don't still particularly like it. XD

Oh, I don't know that kookaburra song, but I do have some children songs that i still like to sing or hum whenever I'm in idle mode. xD But mostly are local songs so I doubt anyone would know if I list them here.

But Barney's "I love , you love me, we are happy family" song..that one is also one of the children songs that I still often humm. xD
