I was just wanting to see if anyone here has and ipod touch or knows someone that has one. Have you had any problems with it? Is it worth the money? I'm thinking about buying one, but i wanted to talk to someone who has one first ^_^
Also, i don't know if this is the correct thread for ipods, but i PMed a mod, and they said i could have it in this thread.

I had one of the iPod 1st generations for about a year. After a year, I couldn't get more than an hours battery life out of the thing. Never again..
One of my friends has an iPod touch and she got it for Christmas. She's had no problems with it.
All I'll say is look around, there are mp3 players out there that do exactly the same as what iPods do but for cheaper prices :)
But it's your money and your choice of course ^__^;

Well, that was first generation. I'm sure they've made some adjustments. My brother has an Ipod Touch and his has been working fine. But i do like apple ipods, as they have i tunes. I tunes makes it easier to download songs. I like they're downloading system. This ipod touch has Wi-Fi internet connection, Up to 1,750 songs, up to 10,000 photos, up to 10 hours of video, or some of each.

My friend has the iPod touch, and my other friend has the iPhone and both of them work extremely well and are pretty fun to use. My only issue with them is that the price of the iPod touch is so high for such a lack of space, but then it has all the nifty features in it. I would get one if I could afford it!

@seiki
I could probably pay the price for the features, but until the space can match up to, or exceed, current iPod, I wouldn't be willing to spend it since it wouldn't hold my music.
I'd almost rather get an iPhone, but I'm in one of those CDMA only areas, so I couldn't use AT&T even if I were willing.

I think they're completely ridiculous. Sure, it's very pretty, but that's basically all.
$300 for 8 gigs of music? I don't think so! That's horrific. Just being able to poke the screen is not enough for me to want to upgrade... especially when you can pay $50 less for 10x the space.
I'll take the space and leave the snazzy features, thank you. Until the price of the touch is dramatically lowered it's still a huge rip-off.

Mmmmm.
I'm kinda on the edge about the iTouch. I love my music, and I had the choice of buying the iTouch, but it's just really a PDA with music. I don't ever use PDAs and would only use it to listen to music.
But the problem is, unless you're willing to drop almost 500 dollars, you only get about 8gb to 16 gb of memory. For some people that's more than enough, but if you're a real music fan you're going to want more.
I went with the iPod classic 80gb. It has movies, music and pictures. More than enough for me and since it's 80gb, it's enough to hold as much music as I want.
So unless you're really going for it for the other features it has, I say go with a normal iPod. My last iPod lasted almost 3 years, an iPod mini. I even ran over the thing and it survived. Which is why I trust iPod so much.
Edit @ Fabby: Someone who thinks the same as I do!
